Hotel was very nice. NO complaints.

Very comfortable, clean and super helpful stuff! Awesome location two blocks away from the Rotunda and Farmers' Market. Comfortable room and limited but yummy free breakfast. The exercise room is on the small side. The only issue was not having microwave in the room. I had to go downstairs, warm up my food and then bring it upstairs. I guess that you […] are not expected to actually eat in the room because the lobby has large and comfortable informal dining area with plates, cutlery, etc. available at all times. The large sleeping area, and the separate sitting room, with couch, desk, and refrigerator, made this the best place I've yet stayed at in the Madison area.

Hotel is beautiful. Big spacious rooms. Modern. Much better than any other hotel downtown, which includes the ones that rhymes with "built-in" and "moncourse." I've stayed in both those and they're in dire need of an update. The problem is the service at the Hyatt on my experience there was absolutely terrible. I'm 29, so no ageism, but the kids they […] got working there need to get their act together. I had a friend come to pick up my bags from the lobby after i checked out cause i was heading straight to an engagement and they only gave him 2 of my 3 bags which caused me to have to go back at 1am to get them prior to my flight the next day. When i went in i asked about my third bag (i called ahead about an hour earlier) and the kid behind the counter had no clue. Then as i'm trying to explain myself a girl walks buy and says, "OH! your other bag" as she goes to get it the kid says, "good thing she's here or i would've given you grief" i said, "yea. Good thing. You guys don't write these things down?" and he said, "yea, we do, it's in the guest log" i said, "well maybe instead of giving me grief, you could've done your job and checked the guest log?" If you want the nicest room in madison, stay at the Hyatt. I've stayed at all the other "nice" hotels in the city: concourse, sheraton, hilton. I'm sure they were all nice 3 years ago, but they're all in dire need of an update. Hyatt Place's rooms are modern, large and comfortable. The service could use work though. After check out, i left my bags […] with the front desk to be picked up by a colleague. I gave explicit instructions in this regard. When my colleague arrived he needed to speak to no less than 3 employees before he could get anyone to even look in the luggage room. Once someone finally helped him, they gave him 2 bags. Only problem was, I had 3. Thank God later in the evening I asked him how many bags he grabbed, because i was leaving for Shanghai the next am! I called before we went back late that night to get my last bag, stating i was coming and asking for the bag to be ready. The employee on duty knew nothing and wasn't acting helpful either. Finally a second employee rolled up and she was the one i spoke to and said, "oh, yea, the bag" and went to go get it. Employee #1 said, "good thing she was here or i would've given you grief about it." I said to him, "Yes. It is a good thing she was here. I'm glad i didn't have to sit through your grief giving session in order to receive what is rightfully mine." I asked if they had a system for communication. He said they did. "it's called the guest log" he said. I said, "well, perhaps you should've checked the "guest log" before engaging in a grief giving session?" seriously worst service at a hotel ever. We were amazed at the wonderful greeting and welcoming we got from the young lady at the front desk! OMG! She was awesome, we have never been so welcomed and informed from a hotel! She is a keeper! We enjoyed our stay and the room was clean, however after our first night of stay we informed the front desk that our air conditioner/heater vibrated all night long. No sleep that night. They tried to fix it I think, but it did the same thing the next night. Needless to say, we did not get much sleep.

Another couple and us went to Madison for the weekend. Location of the Hyatt was great. Very comfortable room. Pool was crawling with kids and no hot tub. Breakfast was mediocre but the rest of amenities were great. Would go back.

Our stay at the Hyatt Place was great. It was only a couple of blocks away from where we wanted to be. Within walking distance of State Street. The Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was great also. Will definitely stay again.

Wonderful hotel within blocks of the capital and State Street. Very clean, new, and comfortable. Guest rooms have comfortable beds, nice sitting areas, flat screen TVs, refrigerators, and clean bathrooms. Good hot breakfast with nice variety included. Also free wi-fi. My wife and I stayed at the Hyatt Place in downtown Madison for a long weekend. We found we were close to plenty of things to do. We parked our car (in the provided) garage for the full time and walked to dinner, shops and museums. The served breakfast kept us from ever desiring to go out for breakfast. Absolutely loved the location and the staff was tremendously friendly and helpful

**Make CERTAIN you set your phone alarm! I had a 6 a.m. flight and the night before, requested a wake up call and a taxi to be ready. No phone call and no taxi. The night clerk was rude as anything and insisted my phone rang! He finally admitted that the hotel has problems with hanging up the phones properly in the rooms. UNACCEPTABLE! Then, he said […] it was not his responsibility to get my cab but the person from the day shift who took the request. But, just RUDE! EVERYBODY else their was extremely hospitable. Great downtown location, with in walking to all attractions - Capitol, Overture Center, Shopping, and Restaurants. Clean and comfortable, and quiet. Will stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. it's one of the nicest rooms we've stayed in for the price. The only thing that we found lacking was the morning breakfast. We are gluten intolerant so we could only have the fruit and the juice, both of which were rather tasteless. It would also have been nice to have a bathtub, and not just a shower. Our stay was short but just what we needed. Quick check-in, decent parking, clean and comfortable room, breakfast bar with healthy food. Couldnt ask for much more with the exception that maybe the pool could be open a bit later than 10pm?

Great hotel - Very close the Capital and a great complimentary breakfast

We chose this facility because of its location, but we'll be back because of the service. As of this writing, the building is nearly new, so we expected it to be in good shape, and it was. Just the same, the staff was busy keeping things looking their best. This was my second stay here. The hotel is very clean and upscale. The rooms were very comfortable. Staff is friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was terrific.

This hotel was perfect for visiting the Kohl Center and a tour of the State Capital. Shuttle service to the KC was really helpful. Staff was very friendly. Pool is really small...other than that , everything was great.

Hotel is 2 blocks from Capital Building, and a few blocks from a bunch of restaurants and bars. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free shuttle to and from the airport was great, and the complimentary breakfast was really good.

Close to the capitol, but must walk a little to get to local restaurants and pubs. One really nice pub about a 10 minute walk away. Stayed the night to go to a game at Camp Randall and had no problem walking there, making stops along State St.

Best Hotel!!!

Wonderful location - within walking distance of many ethnic restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Negatives - the indoor pool is small, there is a parking charge and a charge for internet in the room and the sheets were scratchy.

The hotel location is fantastic, close to the Capital, Farmers Market on saturdays etc. It is a brand new hotel with modern facilities but the room layout is terrible. Very small toilet/shower room and Lav.area just in front of the bed is very inconvenient for a second person in bed while one is using the lav. Not a bad hotel, but I would probably book elsewhere next time. It was well located in Downtown Madison, but felt very soulless. The rooms were nice but it was irritating having the TV in the middle, so that you couldn't see it comfortably from the bed or sofa, each of which was to one side. However the sofa was big and comfy. The room had a fridge […] which was nice. The washstand was in the room rather than in the bathroom which is weird, and the shower room / toilet was tiny. No bath. Room service kept trying to come into the room at 5.30pm which was intrusive and annoying. The business centre is located in the lobby and therefore noisy with no privacy. very close to all things Madison (campus, capitol, water). Very nice accomdations- modern and quite rooms. easy parking in/out (10$/day). Staff very helpful.

Loved the suite and the av capabilities. Great television. Concierge needs to be a little more knowledgable. There is free disabled parking around the side of the hotel and we did not have to pay. Great hotel overall. The rooms are spacious and clean, the wifi was free, and the TV had an input panel for HDMI, composite video, and other inputs. The bathroom was the only bad part of the room. This hotel was very convenient on foot to downtown and campus also with free shuttle to farther destinations. Friendly staff and large, comfortable, modern, clean rooms. This hotel also did not have strong cleaner/air freshener smell-a definite plus for me!

No bathtub in bath- other than that nice. The people working at the hotel were incrediby nice

Great hotel, loved the walk-in shower. Can't wait to get back to Madison.
