The hotel was comfortable and clean. The rooms were large and clean. The staff were very obliging. The breakfast was limited in variety, there was an egg station but no bacon, no cereals and very limited juice variety. The pool was poorly maintained. The location too isolated.

Good location. Nice big, deep pool. The ocean had good size surfing waves but a dangerous undertow. The beach in front of the hotel was red flagged no swimming. Not sure if it was because of the water conditions or the amount of surfers in the area. The beach chair vendor tried to beat us up for $10. for 2 chairs but we talked him down to $5. The breakfast […] was adequate. The down side was the transportation manager who refused to call a cab for us so we had to walk down the block and find one. The hotel has great potential but is lacking in a number of areas. It is badly maintained and could really do with some investment by the management. Although there is nothing seriously wrong with this hotel it lacks in many areas. Huge amount of construction surrounding this hotel, potentially for the next 6-8 months, jack hammering is not my favourite […] noise but you have to put up with it. The pool area has algae growth on some of the surrounding stonework and is slippy in areas. The bar is very spartan and is unappealing in the main. It could do with some modernisation, even the addition of an LCD showing some sport would be an improvement. Breakfast is very limited and the queue for 'eggs' quite discomforting. The staff are generally friendly enough but reception is poor, standard of english not very good for the most. I spent 10 days there and generally felt ok there and the for my daughter (3 years old) the baby pool was the highlight. Sounds a bit pettish but with small children it is helpful if there is at least a cartoon channel to keep them occupied when in the room in the evening. I would not recommend the hotel unless they required access to the beach as a must. This is a 2 star hotel no more which is generally acceptable for most. Ďalšie informácie

The hotel was obviously built many years ago and showing signs of it's age. The rooms are very basic and needing upgrading badly. The bed was so hard we barely slept for the 7 nights we were there and consequently had aching backs every day and also had only 1 pillow each which were as hard as the mattress.The air-conditioning unit was not working to […] keep up with the high humidity and leaked onto the bedroom floor. The mini bars stocked only bare essentials which was disappointing when you look forward to a few pre dinner drinks in the evenings and had to order them to be brought up to your room from the pool bar. We tried to hire someone through the tour desk to take us to a local market and also a chemist but the girl didn't speak near enough English to even understand us and was looking up Chemist on Google to see what it meant. We ended up walking down the road for ages and hailed a taxi. The main restaurant only served breakfast, which was also very basic and the other by the pool had a very small basic menu and appeared only to serve lunch so we had to eat out every night, which wasn't too major as the local beach bars served great food but a couple of nights we could have eaten in if it had been available. We had a bungalow room, close to the breakfast area, not too far from the pool. Didnt like the door of the room, we had to get it in the right spot to be able to open it...so a couple of challenging times!!....The Bathroom was amazingly big and clean, fresh towels everyday, little bit worn, but not a huge problem. Pool bar was awesome nice cocktails, usual hotel prices, and great service. No lounge pool hogs, perfect. Loved the location right on the beach, some great restaurants just outside. Very friendly staff and good location. I passed out in a taxi on the way home from a night drinking, and my girlfriend and hotel security couldn't wake me so hotel security put me on a luggage trolley and carried me all the way to my room and put me into bed haha now that's service for you !

We stayed here 5 nights in a deluxe room on the 2nd floor located in the block wing. This is where the hotel lets its self down as the room was certainly not deluxe and in need of renovation. Our only complaint would be that a beach party on the sand was extremely loud until the very early hours of the morning with thumping noise. Firstly the staff are extremely friendly, always smiling and only too happy to help you. We had a bungalow near the pool which was large with a big bathroom (combined shower/bath only drawback). Breakfast - not bad, with the standard fruit, omelettes/eggs cooked to order - the best choice. Other hot food was less impressive with fried rice/noodles being standard offerings. Also available were various fried vegetables (who has vegetables for breakfast) and small sausages/french toast/pancakes - OK. Cereal was either cornflakes or rice bubbles and some suspect yoghurt!!!! The A-la-Carte menu was OK but most items (except sandwiches) were over cooked, dry and not appetising. I requested a double/queensized bed however on arrival we recieved two twin single beds. The toilet was very old therefore the flush would only work on occasion. I can say however that the location is amazing just on legian beach where there are an array of beachside bars/restaurants. La Plancha is just outside which we went to a few nghts. This is an older resort than is well overdue for some updating. For same the price, we stayed at a resort in Kuta also on the beach that was closer to shops and restaurants and had much more attractive grounds and rooms and a better breakfast buffet. We stayed here in mid November 2011 and we both thouroughly enjoyed our stay. Location is a bit out of the way but there are heaps of taxsis available and it is only a short walk to the main street. The beachfront has lots of bungalow style restaurants and bars with the same views as Jimbaran Bay. Food might not be the same standard as JB but the views […] are sensational. A good place to see the end of another Bali evening. The pool area is one of the best with ample shade and entertainment from the squirrels dropping berries the surrounding area. Happy hour is only 30 percent off between 5pm and 6pm but still cheap enough to enjoy a few cocktails. If you book a room make sure it is the garden view as they are just delightful to look onto. Breakfast is the standard Bali one in a very pleasant surround. I would give this place 3.5 stars overall. Getting there: The taxi ride from the airport is a fixed and reasonable price. See warning below about time to return to the airport. Room: I got a more expensive bungalow instead of the cheaper deluxe room I reserved because none was available. The bathroom was huge. Location: The property is next to the […] beach. Note, however, that rooms do NOT have beach views. It is easy walking distance to the main streets with tons of shops and restaurants. Internet: I was on vacation but needed to be connected. The wireless access from the bungalow worked well, although I had to reconnect regularly. I ended up staying an extra day and had to move to a deluxe room; the Internet access there was nonexistent. I sat in the hotel restaurant where the signal was strong. This hotel really needs to improve Internet access in the non-bungalow rooms. Breakfast: The included breakfast was pretty standard. It would be nice to have more vegetarian options. Warning: When returning to the airport, allow LOTS of time to get there and to check in. The mid-day traffic was really congested, and the lines at the airport were long and poorly managed. I booked a ride from the hotel and asked them to pick my up at a restaurant where I was having my last meal. [The restaurant is right on the route to the airport.] It was nice of them to agree to do this, but the driver arrived almost 20 minutes late. I barely made my flight. Again, make sure you leave enough time to get to the airport, check in, go through security, pay your departure tax, etc. Except for picking me up late--grrr!--the rest was beyond the hotel's control.
