Balladins Superieur - Marsannay-la-Cote

We wanted to break up the driving so we booked looked at hotels in Dijon. It took about 5 hrs from Calais so worked out about right, we went during feb half term week and arrived on Friday night leaving early Sat morning so didnt need anything too fancy but were pleasantly surprised. The hotel doesnt look anything from outside but it has secure parking […] which is great as we had skis on the roof. The rooms were fine and the beds comfortable. It has a restaurant with a limited but very tasty menu, with snails etc. They were very helpful with my daugthers Coeliac condition and prepared her a suitable meal. Was excellent for us as a stopover driving through France. Booked two double beds, one for us and another for the kids. Ours was okay but the kids bed was uncomfortable (hard) and more of a put up than a proper bed. We stayed at this Hotel in 2006 and enjoyed our stay there, however, this last visit was most dissappointing. Firstly, the corridor to our room had an odour that suggeted it had not been aired for some time. secondly, the triple room we had was just as bad and we had to leave the window open for a long time to allow fresh air to permiate through to […] clear what can only be described as a damp smell. Thirdly, the restaurant menu was far too expensive and with minimal choice compared with our last our last visit (even allowing for RPI increases etc in the period in question.) Last but not least the staffing levels were most inadequate. Staff were being called in all directions;- the receptionist was working in the dining room when new guests were arriving who had to wait to be attended to. The bar was also unattended at the same time as the barmaid was again doing other work. Further to this visit we decided to give The Balladin Group a chance to redeem themselves at their Hotel in Bezier. This was a TOTAL DISASTER. We paid for our room upon arrival and we were then given the key code to our room which we then visited. We were totally shocked at the standard of this room - we cannot describe how dingy this room was. Further to this, we had previously telephoned to book a triple room stating that we had a handicapped daughter. This room offered twin beds and a high level bunk which would have been totally inadequate. (The bunk bedl ooked just like a luggage compartment in an old aircraft.) Not only was the room of poor dimensions, standard and presentation it also had 'The Balladin Smell'. The receptionist was also lacking any form of finness and when she showed us to another room which was just as bad as the previous we asked for our money to be returned (to our credit card). She could not, or would not return our money and said that we would have to wait for her boss to return from holiday. J'avais demandé une chambre non fumeur, mais il n'était pas possible de m'en proposer une. Forte odeur de tabac dans le couloir. La chambre avait été bien désodorisée. A mon arrivée dans la chambre, la climatisation était réglée sur 14 °.

Eenvoudig hotel. Ziet er een beetje oudbollig uit. Maar zeer vriendelijk personeel. Goed restaurant. Kortom gezien het prijsniveau een aanrader.

Nette hotel kamer. Matrassen waren erg hard. Goed ontbijt.

Prima hotel voor een overnachting op doorreis naar de ardeche. hadden vierpersoonskamer. Kinderen sliepen op een slaapbank. Wel een hard matras op slaapbank .Kleine kamer,maar dat vonden wij geen probleem, je slaapt er tenslotte alleen maar. We stayed at the hotel for two nights. The location is very good if you are visiting the wine region by car. Nice breakfast and safe parking. It was nice that they could arrange us the room key even though we arrived after the closing hour of the reception (11 pm). Why I wouldn't recommend the hotel is that we got a smoking room even though we had asked […] for a non-smoking one. The lady in the reception said it used to be a smoking room but about two months before it was changed into a non-smoking one. I asked why they had an ashtray in the room and she claimed it was a mistake. The hotel was fully booked so we had to stay two nights in this room. Ďalšie informácie

Zeer goed hotel, vriendelijke personeel. Mooi restaurant waar je goed kunt eten, en bar waar je lekker kunt bijkomen en een zwembad is ook aanwezig, met ligstoelen. Perfecte locatie waar je ook nog eens leuk kunt shoppen bij Cora of Gaunt restaurants zijn er ook in de buurt.

Een overnachting voor weinig geld. Een prima hotel om met kinderen een nachtje te slapen ipv in een keer een heel eind rijden. De kamers zijn netjes, je auto staat vlak voor je kamer en de Mac is vlakbij. Een goede ervaring.

On est très bien accueilli par le personnel qui est très serviable et très aimable. Pas déçu du tout !

Direkt an der Schnellstrasse Dijon-Beaune gelegen - wir hatten zum Glück Zimmer in die gegenüberliegende Richtung, da war es ruhig. Die Zimmertüren (auf unserem Flur von allen belegten Zimmern) quietschen erbärmlich. Frühstück gut mit einigermaßen großer Auswahl, mittelprächtige Kaffeemaschine. 4 aikuista ja 3 alle 5 v lasta viettivät kolme yötä a.o. hotellissa. Huoneet olivat pienia ja siistejä, lapsille järjestyi huoneesta "oma lokero". Iloksemme reseptiossa ja ravintolassa puhuttiin englantia koska ranskankieli on vielä vähän heikoissa kantimissa. Tulimme illalla melko myöhään mutta keittiöstä järjestettiin maukas juustotarjotin ja voileivät […] punaviinin kera huoneeseen. Aamiainen oli ranskalaiseen tapaan vaatimaton mutta ravintolan ruoka hyvätasoista ja palvelu mielyttävää. Pieni miinuspiste tulee siitä, että lasten jauhelihapihvi oli viimeisellä illallisella poltettu karrelle - liekö eri kokki tuolloin töissä. Kahden tähden hoteilleista Balladins Superieur on korkeatasoisimpia, joita Ranskassa olen kohdannut. Hotellia voin lämpimästi suositella aluelle vierailevalle mutta ei sovellu pitkäaikaiseen lomanviettoon. AS perheineen Espoosta. Ďalšie informácie
