Boulevard Hotel - Nairobi

Basic and clean, and with a pool, but still to expensive for what they offer.

This hotel is very nice, clean and comfortable. Only a short (5 min) walk from the hustle of downtown Nairobi, next to the University of Nairobi. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. The facility is nice and quiet, especially if you get a room facing the back of the hotel away from the street. This hotel delivered exactly what it advertises. It is clean and tidy and the staff were helpful. It is basic but comfortable and lends itself to a relaxing stay. My colleagues and I stayed here for 6 nights and ate in the hotel most evenings. It has pleasant gardens and several places to sit and relax outside in an evening. Hotel Boulevard is pactically in a major intersection - lots of taffic noise. Rooms are quite small,. sound proofing none existing. Food in the restaurant is good, their chinese selection is excellent, a bit pricier than other chinese places in Nairobi though. Be aware of the checkout time, it is non negotiable and they charge 75 % of the full room […] rate as day room charge. Staff at the reception is not polite and responsive, opposite to the restaurants, where you get very good service. It was a pleasant stay in the hotel, the food was execellent. However the TV and the fan had some malfunctions. The staff were friendly and helpfull. I would recommend installation of an air conditioner, as the rooms get very hot and humid - especially those facing the swimming pool side.

The hotel is good. However, you have to book through internet. Maybe you will not be able to book for all the time you want. You can try through another agency and find that it is possible to book and moreover at a lower price. Maybe you arrive and want to stay some more days. You ask whether this is possible at the reception. They say yes. Then arrives […] the first day of your extended visit and you find out that you have to pay the double for the same room. Good value for money. Looks a little old from exterior however pleasantly surprised once we entered the premises. Buffet breakfast is not over extravagant but certainly satisfactory as was the restaurant for evening meals.

No mosquito nets, so we ended up with several bites. No airconditioning, so got very hot in room, there was a fan, but it made little difference. There was also a lot of light from hallway illuminating room due to a window above the door.

This is an old hotel with no maintenace or renovations since the 1960's. There is basically no service: you may ask for a wake up call or for someone to come and repair a non-functioning lamp and they would just act upon their words. This is three star accommodation and at the price per room I would have thought air-conditioning would have been standard. The portable machine provided was totally ineffective. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was very clean and the public areas, especially the bar area was particularly nice with a lovely atmosphere. I would definitely stay there again.

Very nice and quiet Hotel. I loved the staff is very nice they super friendly. A bit hard to drive to due to some constructions. Worth every penny... Breakfast is simple and very good. Very good hotel - staff is very helpful except for reception who need to learn to smile.

Good hotel overall. Restaurant and housekeeping staff are excellent. Reception staff could do with smiling and being more friendly.

Boulevard ligger nær nasjonalmuseet og universitetet og i gangavstand til byen, og når en kommer tilbake til hotellet år etter år, blir en gjenkjent av betjeningen og behandlet godt.

Relativt billigt hotell. Läget är det bästa med en stor trädgård. Acceptabel pool. Bott där flera gånger.

greit hotell med gangavstand til sentrum, Minus var dårlig mat. God rengjøring på rommet og ellers hyggelig.

Gute Lage, Nähe Museum und Innenstadt, die Zimmer gegen den Garten sind ruhig. Wir haben uns sicher gefühlt und wurden sehr gut bedient. Das Frühstück und das Essen im Restaurant sind gut. Pasamos una noche en este hotel antes de irnos de Safari.Es un hotel correcto para una noche,una ducha y un desayuno.Limpieza y habitación bien.Jardín agradable.Las habitaciones que dan a la carretera son ruidosas.Quizás algo caro.

Hotellet har en flott beliggenhet med kontrollert adgang. Veldig positivt overrasket når det gjelder kvalitet og rengjøring på badet. Frokostbuffet var OK, men neppe opp til prisen som betaler. Hotellet har en restaurant som vi aldri brukte fordi byen har mange spennede restauranter.

Dieses Hotel ist deutlich nicht das beste oder schönste Nairoibis, aber fur was wir bezahlen haben, war es gut. Das Beste war das Frühstuck, lecker und alles sehr frisch, und das Hotelservice, höffliche Mitarbeiter.

Det er et ok hotel, hvis man bare skal overnatte i Nairobi. Det værste er nok at deres senge er stenhårde. Det var ikke behageligt at sove i dem.

Hotellet svarer til et dansk to-tre stjernet hotel. Det var hyggeligt og rent med en udmærket restaurant. Værelserne der vender ud mod Uhuru Highway er udsat for kraftig trafiksstøj døgnet rundt. Hvis støj generer dig skal du sikre dig et værelse mod haven. Beliggenheden, lige ved siden af nationalmuseet, 500 m. fra centrum er fin. Serviceniveauet […] var generelt fint for et afrikansk hotel og for restaurant og bar over det forventede. Under forudsætning af at du kan få et værelse mod haven er hotellet anbefalelsesværdigt. Ich hatte bereits früher im Boulevard übernachtet und habe jetzt einen Stopover mit zwei Übernachtungen sehr genossen das Hotel hat sich nämlich deutlich verbessert Viele Zimmer sind vorbildlich renoviert Edeldusche und Klo Isolierverglasung Richtung Straße das Personal superfreundlich und unkompliziert wie immer alles sehr sauber Bettwäsche und Handtücher […] duften Sehr großer Zimmersafe ohne Extragebühr Frühstücksbuffet vorzüglich. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage, aber die braucht man in Nairobi nicht denn es ist zumindest nachts recht frisch wegen der Höhenlage Taxi vom bzw zum Flughafen kostet eintausendfünfhundert KSH das sind knapp fünfzehn Euro Ďalšie informácie

Bra läge i centrala Nairobi med en bra pool. Rummen var enkla men rena. Vi gjorde en övernattning innan vidare flyg så vi har inte prövat på hotellets utbud på aktiviteter mer än att äta på restaurangen vilket var godkänt inte mer.
