There are not a lot of choices when staying around Aberdeen. Be careful which hotel you pick. I would stay here agian. I come up here for work about once a month. Good value.

This hotel is located in a depressed economic area and I expected some problems. But it was clean and efficiently run. The grocery store was right across the street so we were able to have meals in our room with the provided microwave, coffee pot and refrigerator. "Great romm for the money"
I just needed a place to lay my head while on a business trip, so I always look for the cheapest option. I was pleasantly surprised with how large the room was, and the comfort of the bed. Only one complaint -- the breakfast choices were lacking. Would I stay there again if in the area -- Yes!

"AVOID for these 5 Reasons"
Traveling to the coast this past weekend with my dogs. There aren't a ton of opitions for rooms and it was too cold to camp. So we found Econo Lodge in hoquiam through this site. The online price was reasonable for a motel and I didn't expect 5 star accomodations. The staff were really friendly. However, here is where it goes south... 1. it took forever […] to check in. The clerk said http://Hotels.com doesn't give them all the information they need so he gathered all my info again. 20 minutes later, he then decides he needs to charge for the pets. Fine, I figured http://hotels.com covered that since that was my primary search criteria.. so I pay an extra per pet fee. Then he says, they don't have my room, so he needs to move me to another room, which is an additional fee. Um, the hotel was practially empty... but okay..... 2. Beds are like rocks. No? Well here they are. Pillows are the same. I could have DEALT with the two above items but then the next three problems: 3. Trash in the room. Hair in the bathroom. 4. Oh, did i mention the couple that came in at midnight, the next room over (116) and proceeded to vomit and throw stuff around their room for 2 hours? well at 2 am, my husband yelled out "Keep it down" and it sort of settled a bit.... Tooo bad we had to be up and out of there at 6 am... We go in to check out. 5. SURPRISE, there's another fee on our bill. Great, we get to pay an extra fee for almost zero rest, thanks to the vomiting couple. This is a "no frills" hotel. Clean, great and friendly hotel staff. Breakfast was nothing spectacular but it was something :). Was really close to where I needed to be but if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs as it is an older hotel and right next to a main road. I would stay here again if needed.

This place is nothing fancy, but service is very accomodating and room is very economical and clean. We were there for a funeral and needed a place to stay at the last minute...right location and right price for us for just trying to find a place to sleep.

I travel to the Harbor often. This is by far the best hotel for the money. I'm not going to mention names but the newest hotel in Aberdeen is twice as much and less clean. Save yourself some money and stay here. You'll be pleasantly suprised.

We had a one-bed room . The room was very large but very empty because they only removed one bed,but they didn`t paint the wall so it looked not very nice!! The staff was very friendly . The WIFI wasn`t strong enough in our room, so I had to sit in the Office to get connected. Breakfast was better than expected!!!! It was worth the price !!

When we check in the room we had reserved for the second night was wrong. There was something left under the sink(looked like food from someone elses stay) The room walls were so thin you could hear everyone around you. Then they had a power outage and did nothing to notify us or make it better.

A cheap option that is close to Ocean Shores and Olympic National Park. Free continental breakfast is always a plus!

This is a "you get what you pay for" kind of hotel. There as nothing particularly bad about the expereince, but this is a cheap no-frills hotel so don't expect there to be luxury accomodations or anything. Since I wouldn't use anything fancy in a hotel anyway, I will probably look this place up again the next time I'm traveling in that area. The only […] nitpick I have is that it's a few blocks away from an arterial road so there was more noise than there would have been had it been more out of the way (not a lot, I think the speed limit was ~45mph and not too much traffic). To be fair, this is a depressed area, I wasn't expectiing the Ritz. And I really appreciate being able to have my dogs. I would agree with another reviewer, however, that the pet rooms need better cleaning - the carpet smelled of urine. I might recommend it, depending on the person.

Rooms were nothing special and showed signs of wear. Beds were not overly comfortable. Breakfast was marginal at best. I would look for different accommodations next time.

We reserved a King NS room for a dog show in Elma WA. At check in the clerk said we would have to have a queen as there were no king "pet rooms" available. He was quite obstinate and rude to us and it took him forever to get us the keys. Then he never activated them so we had to go back to the office and he blamed my cell phone which was still in the […] car. The room was disgusting - we didn't even want our dogs on the floor, let alone the mattress we had to sleep on. If you find yourself in Hoquiam, you might as well stay at the Econolodge. My room was spacious and clean, and had a microwave and refrigerator in it.

We booked the room last minute for an improptu trip to the ocean for the 4th of July. The room was a bit pricey, but not out of line considering it WAS the holiday weekend and everything else was booked! Hoquiam, WA is a very poor community at this time of writing -- Summer 09. The Econo Lodge location was decent to travel to the Olympic Peninsula highlights and other points in Washington, such as Olympia. The breakfast offered at the motel was "amazing" especially for the kids because it came with the room charge and the waffles were great. We also […] were able to do coin-operated laundry and use internet with no extra fees. The rooms in the far western corner of the horseshoe were much quieter than others since there is traffic noise. We had some spider problems in the bathroom, which was newly renovated. Since we discovered it late at night, we had to vacuum ourselves. Pretty bad. The nastiest smelling hotel room I've ever stayed in. Worse than most taverns before they banned indoor smoking in this state. The room was in dire need of a paint job, the furniture had tons of dirt and dust in every crack and seam. The smell of old cigarettes was unbearable.
