The first night was very good. The second night the desk attendant was more interested in talking to a group of people in a van in the parking lot. He appeared to be irritated in general or that he had to leave the van and check us in, get us a box of tissue, (that ran out after we got to the room), or do anything in general that would have caused him […] to have to leave the van. It is too bad that he responded to our needs this way, as the attendant on the first nights stay was exactly the opposite. He could not do enough to make our stay a memorable one. Enjoyed my stay, it made a business trip bearable...the room was cozy, clean, and it was easy to get to many attractions/restaurants/shopping. The room had a mini-refrigerator and microwave, which was convenient. The management was super nice and accommodating when an issue came up and they quickly resolved it! It was close to my family, so I plan to return frequently in the future. The personnel at the front desk were friendly and were able to call a cab for me to go to my family's home. Awesome hotel! Very clean, super nice staff, great amenities. The front desk staff was welcoming and extremely polite upon both checkin and checkout. The Continental Breakfast was beyond anything we could've expected: Eggs, Sausage, Breads/Pastries, Cereal, Fruit, Yogurt, etc. The waffles were out of this world yummy! My son loved the plain waffles […] while I chose the blueberry, both were delicious and incredibly easy to prepare. Breakfast served until 9:00 AM. They provide PLENTY of pillows and blankets and lots and lots of towels, too. The tub was bigger than mine at home and I thoroughly took advantage of a luxurious bubble bath soak while I was there. We didn't take advantage of the pool or fitness room, but it's nice to know that's there if we wanted to. All in all, a great big thumbs up from both of us! My son and I had a WONDERFUL time at this awesome hotel! Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an awesome hotel on a budget. We were very pleasantly surprised and the quality of the room, bathroom and general comforts. Small practical gym, good Free breakfast, hot tub and pool outside, very pleasant and helpful staff. I truly enjoyed my stay at Comfort Inn and Suites. All staff were courteous and helpful and the hotel was well maintained and extremely clean. Although it is a few miles from downtown St. Petersburg and the bayfront, the dirve is easy, essentially straight down one street. Avoid. I had reserved and prepaid two rooms for our girls' trip. When we checked in at 11:30 pm after a delayed flight, the desk clerk asked for ID and credit cars and wanted to charge us for the rooms. When we said no they were prepaid with hotels.com, he insisted they were not and we would have to prove it. He had also run the credit cards for one […] of the rooms under the wrong name. Then he saw a prepay on one room and said it was with a different booking agency. That all got worked out. The next morning when we went to check out, the desk clerk tried to charge us again! He actually yelled at us. He even tried to say he remembered us from the night before e en though he was not night clerk. Eventually he admitted that we were prepaid and dismissed us with a terse sorry have nice day! Comfort Inn used to be a good place to overnight but management has gone drastically down. We stayed here 1 night to be able to catch a flight at the St Pete airport. Had a reservation, so called early in day to confirm. The desk clerk was very unfriendly, like it was an inconvenience to check our reservation. When we checked in, the same person was there, still unfriendly. Our room did not have a directory of attractions, restaurants etc […] in the area, so went to the front desk & were told this hotel did not have directories in the rooms. Had to ask the clerk (another unfriendly one) for suggestions & directions. Next morning, asked for directions to airport, but the frowning, unfriendly clerk wasn't helpful, gave very vague information. The only employees we saw or dealt with were at the front desk - definitely not any "people persons" here! The room was nice, but staff very unpersonable. Was very disappointed that there was no coffee upon arrival, approx 7:30 pm Fri Mar 16. Also, no coffeee or snack food/fruit available before departing for airport next morning Sat Mar 17 at 5:15 am.
