This was a nice little B&B. We had a view of the mountains, it was quiet, and the breakfast was amazing! Staff was friendly. This wasn't an extravagant place, but very sweet and cozy. I'll be staying here again.

Like a small apartment with a seperate bedroom and kitchen off of the living room. Rustic old building fits well with the Virginia City atmosphere, but recently renovated with a modern decor instead of rustic to match the building and area. "Too darn wonderful for words..."
We reserved the Jim Fair room and just fell in love with this B&B and the owner. Super sweet, attentive to our questions, and explained everything we needed to know about our stay. Its great to stay in same place Marilyn Monroe stayed when she was filming the Misfits. :) Our room was comfortable and very clean with a great view of the little garden […] outside. It came equipped with a AC unit, clean soft towels, great soaps, and a the bedding was very nice after the hotel we stayed in last. Its located barely a block from the main drag of VC which was nice after a few drinks. ;) Breakfast was incredible... nom nom nom... raspberry walnut pancakes... Edith Palmer Country Inn is located on a quiet street a few blocks away from downtown Virginia City, a preserved old west town from the Comstock Lode mining days. Lots of interesting things to do within walking distance, and great views of the valley below. (One exception: the small window a/c had a little trouble keeping up with the August heat.) A tasty breakfast is served on an outdoor patio. "Motorcycle trip to Hot August Nights!"
Traveled to Hot August Nights 2011 and we stayed two nights at Edith Palmer's Country Inn. Lecia the owner operator is a delight and I would highly recommend you spend a night or two and don't forget to try breakfast the blackberry waffles are amazing! An old Victorian doll with modern amenities set above the main street of Virginia City, history all […] around you, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and each room has its own bit of character like the travelers that are fortunate to find her! "Home Sweet Home meets Old Town Charm"
Virginia City is a great historical place that is worth an overnight stay because there is so much to see and do here. This bed and breakfast adds to that historical atmosphere as there is so much history to it. The owner is a very friendly, charming and hospitable person. A lot of thought and care has gone into the livelihood of this establishment. […] The breakfast she prepared had all the comforts of a home cooked meal. The patio area was just outside our room, so we could stargaze at night and enjoy coffee in the morning like we were at home. We were a short walk from the main stretch which is a bonus since parking is a bit of a challenge. The room was small, but comfortable. Our room was small, but very clean, cozy, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent; 3 mornings, 3 different breakfasts. There is a "parlor" for all guests to enjoy for reading, playing games, etc. The hostess is very friendly and extremely knowledgable about the history of the Inn and Virginia City. We'll be back.

"Fabulous, cozy, and historical Inn"
This was a lovely inn in Virginia City. The rooms were small, but cozy and clean and the home-made breakfasts in the morning were absolutely delicious. The only negative thing about the rooms is that they don't have an iron or hair dryer. Virginia City is very small, but this Inn is in a perfect location. "Edith Palmers - Oh the breakfast!"
We were made to feel welcome from the time we arrived to the time we reluctantly left. A nice quiet location within a short walk to the town centre and a superb restaurant. The breakfast was probably the best we have had - superb. Quite simply a little gem!
