Stayed 2 nights. in general the hotel was ok but not great. Buffet breakfast was good but also expensive at over $15. Hotel also charges for parking. The tub/shower leaks water onto the floor due to a defective installation. Reported this to the front desk and it seemed that they were not very interested in the problem nor getting it fixed.

The only negative is that the Hotel charges $12.00 plus tax, per night, for parking in an adjacent parking deck. This wasn't disclosed in any way by Hotels.com; nor was it disclosed to me during check-in by the hotel.

A perfect little stay. Just a little sad that they charged me extra to park my car.

Very nice hotel...super clean, very friendly staff and total bonus having a Ruths Chris in the lobby!

Wonderful people working at the Hotel. Room rate was a little pricey for my travel purposes but I had stayed here before and enjoyed it so went back. Next visit to Coumbia I will look for a better rate before I book at this Hotel.

We were not happy to see that an high priced per night room did not offer a mini fridge or microwave like their hotel website advertises. The queen room smelled of cigarette smoke and it is a smoke free hotel. They also advertised child care services and that was not true either. The best part of the hotel is the sr. Its home away from home. It cannot get any better. Its a little expensive but you pay for comfort. I will stay again.

I was excited to find such a nice hotel that allowed pets! Really wish we could have stayed longer. Great location. Were we able to check in early and check out wasn't until noon. Only downside is paying for parking (we stayed one night and it was $10). But I guess you could have parked on the street instead of garage.

Overall, a very nice hotel; the parking garage is convenient and fairly-priced, it has an attractive lobby, quick and friendly check-in, and a large and comfortable room. For us, the negatives were: 1) the room's air-conditioning was rather loud, 2) the bathroom exhaust fan was completely inadequate to keep steam from building up even with lukewarm […] showers, and 3) to our surprise when we got the bill, the 5 to 6 ounce mamosa we ordered with our breakfast buffet at the in-house Ruth's Chris restaurant cost as much as the buffet itself; that was our biggest disappointment as the buffet was otherwise good with a wide selection of food. The Hilton Columbia Center is a very nice hotel with an adjacent parking garage and close to great restaurants in the city. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous! I highly recommend it!

Great hotel....every staff member is friendly and professional. Exercise room has all that is needed for a complete work-out. Pool is just right. I liked i could walk to all the area restaurants....can I suggest small microwaves would be great for the rooms??? Thanks Hilton

The hotel was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. However, the staff did not mention the additional fees for parking and also placed two authorization charges on our card. While the two charges were eventually removed, it took the hotel up to a week do remove them from our card.

Good location, esp. for USC events. Clean. Standard, fairly noisy room ac units. But no closet or luggage rack! Complimentary in-room coffee/tea. Friendly check-in staff. Minimal other staff. No one to assist us unloading luggage. Easy access parking garage if don't want to use valet. Ruth's Chris on-site restaurant tended to back up at breakfast time, […] so had to eat off-site. The only negative about my room was that there was not a rack, closet or armoire to hang clothing nor was there an iron/ironing board to take care of the clothes that had to stay folded in my suitcase.

Great hotel. Easy parking access. Room was very comfortable. I would have liked a mini refrigerator. The Ruth's Chris restaurant was a wonderful bonus. Convenient to many restaurants within walking distance.

Other than the fire alarm going off at 1:00am, the stay was absolutely wonderful. You cannot imagine the politeness and helpfulness of the staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. Several restaurants within walking distance and most with bars! So very easy to stumble back from ;)

Perfect location for convention center and nearby attraction. Very clean facilities, and lot's to choose from for dining. The only thing that would make it better would be a shuttle from the airport. Nevertheless, a great pick for business travel.

The building was extremely nice and well kept. Check in was fast and posed no problems what so ever as the staff were very helpful. The room was better than expected and had everything we wanted and need for our duration. The room itself was relatively inexpensive for the condition and location aka, it was amazing. Very convenient to lots of Resturants withing walking distance. Parking felt very safe. Pool was great.

We spent one night and were completely satisfied! Hotel staff was pleasant and room was very clean, comfortable, great shower and quiet. Convenient location to area restaurants, USC campus, etc... Will stay again next time thru Columbia, SC!

We would highly reccomend this hotel. We look foward to staying again in the future.

The Hilton was fantastic, the rooms were spotless, the staff extremely professional, and the on site restaurant was great. I won't stay anywhere else when I visit Columbia.
