...and so too was the Ben Wyvis at one time, I'd imagine. The exterior still bears the gallantry of its origins as a Victorian Spa retreat. But the inside is on the musty side. It seems nothing but the ubiquitous fire doors (13 doors between the entry to the hotel and the entry to my room) has been added since the mid-80s--the carpets are getting threadbare, […] the floors slope, the lighting is tough--forgotten dentures would not be out of place here. Værelset virkede mørkt og halvsnusket. Toilettet kunne ikke trække ud. I restauranten måtte vi afbestille vores drikkevarer - de var end ikke serveret, da hovedretten gik ud.

Vi fick micrad ankbröst, som var torr i kanterna. Och en rätt som vi inte ens beställde. De har ingen koll på hur man sköter ett kök över huvud tagen. Den sämsta maten vi åt under våra 10 dagar i Skottland.
