Friendly helpfull staff. gave discount for future stay do to problems probley wont use it shower head nob fell off in my hand. heater poped braker so was cold night used stove range to heat room untell service guy fixed. The room was clean and the staff really helped.

Being that we were only there for one evening, it wasn't bad enough to make us want to leave, Our door did not lock with the deadbolt. The floor in our room was uneven.

We stayed for one night in one of the two bedroom suites and found it to be very clean, roomy and comfortable! The staff was polite and helpful, and the place, although older, was well cared for. I go to Ocean Shores all the time! But never stay the night... I saw these before it was a hotel, it used to be apartments... but the new owners totally re-did EVERYTHING! The rooms are amazing! The only place with a REAL KITCHEN! We stayed in a 1 Bedroom 2 Bathroom Room with a full Kitchen! It was amazing! I am deffinately going to go back! ALOT! So […] convenient! Not to mention the staff who was amazing! I loved our stay there, and wish we coulda stayed longer! The price was MORE THEN GREAT AS WELL! I can actually afford to take my family here! Its right next to town and the beach... no need to drive anywhere! They also referred me to a good lil candy shop in town that was new... and O MY GOD WAS IT GOOOOOOD! We thouroughly enjoyed our visit here. The hotel staff were very accomodating and could not do enogh for us. The room was very nice and it was a pleasure to stay here.

Loved the suite, fireplace, distant view of the ocean, wonderful helpful staff. These people have spent a lot of time upgrading and improving this older property. Would definitely recommend to friends and stay there again.

My husband and I arrived 4 hours early for check in, and the lovely lady at the front desk let us register and check in early! After driving for several hours it was greatly appreciated. During our stay the staff was very friendly, helpful and generous. Great value...low price and quite adequate for all your traveling needs. We rented a two bedroom w/kitchen, This room was very spacious and very clean. If you are a someone who does not care about all the commercial frills this is great place to stay.

The rates were cheap, it was only a one night stay so I figured nothing could go terribly wrong. Alas, it did. At 7:00 in the morning I discovered the coffee maker was broken. I couldn't call the desk because no one was there until 8:00 or 9:00 and the phone didn't work. The night before we brought food back to eat. The facility has a lot of potential. The economy we think, has had an affect on the quality, that we have know before. For a two queen studio, there was only one coffee mug, no paper towels,light bulbs that needed to be replaced, and the cleanliness was not up to par. Lovely location, and despite everything we managrd to enjoy ourselves.

This is a nice, older place that has been fairly well maintained. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful but the amenities are limited - for example, you have to go to the front desk and borrow the hair dryer! But the nice thing is that there are 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites so its great for families.

We arrived and our reservation wasn't in computer so they upgraded our room!! It was GREAT! Very good customer service. Nice and close to the beach and great pool too!

When we booked our room the map seemed to indicate that the hotel was on the beach and that there would be the possibility of a room with an ocean view. We requested an ocean view in the appropriate request area at the time that we booked. We didn't get a response. This will make us look closer the next time. It was just OK, nothing special.

This is a get what you pay for hotel. We had a queen room it did not have A/C. It's close to the beach, the room was pretty clean, and the bed was comfortable. Parking is a little rough if you get in late. If you are looking for a cheap place to lay your head for the night - this is it!

nice and good for the price these days

I took my boyfriend as a surprise and we had a great time. The room was a great price and a good location for the price. The room was beautiful and we loved having two bathrooms!

The room is clean but small. The bathroom is huge. The room fixtures are old, definitely needs update. I got no greeting from the staff when I first walked in. I had to wait a while before they finally said a word to me. It was very rude.

First of all, I made a mistake in not looking at the hotel check in times. They end at 9pm. We would be arriving at midnight. But thankfully, the hotel manager offered to meet us at the office to get us our keys and into our room. The room was for some reason not ready. I didn't ask why and don't need to know why. We were quickly upgraded to a room […] that was ready for us and within 5 minutes, we were into that new room. We had two double beds in one room and a full kitchen, dining table, tv, hideabed, and electric fireplace in the other. We heard the hideabed was not that comfortable and we are used to a queen bed, but still, it worked fine for us. Two complaints: The all night long buzzing of the refrigerator kept me up. And we found pieces of garbage in the room (a tissue in the dresser and one in the cushion of the couch). I would recommend making sure the cleaning staff was more thorough and hoping they were thorough cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen. The location was excellent. We could walk to the beach and to several very cool shops. The Wacky Woman - vintage, antiques and gift items, and a strip of shops with a $2 store as well as an upscale art and gift shop. We rode bikes in town, jogged on the beach, swam in the pool (very nice, warm and clean), waded in the ocean and drove to the North Jetty. Room keys kept malfunctioning and, after hours, were forced to break in to our own room. The place was overrun with noisy adults and children. Doors being slammed, could be felt as well as heard. I wouldn't stay here again if it were free.

I had an average stay at Ocean Shores Inn and Suites. We ended up with the 2 queen beds studio. It was comfortable and clean. The only issue we had was that our room was not clean and ready when we showed up. Granted we got there early at 1:30pm and check in is at 3pm, they said that they had a few maids call in (which is completely understandable) […] and they were behind. So we were told to come back at 3pm, we showed up at 3:30 pm and it still wasn't ready, we were told 45 mins, so we left and came back at about 5:30 and it was finally clean. Advertised fully stocked kitchen, not even close. There were no bars of soap provided. The bed was probably worn out 5 years ago, and was one of the worst beds I have slept in in recent memory. I was scared to see what would be waiting for us when we arrived at the beach because we got such a great rate from Hotels.com on this place but was very pleasantly surprised at what we found. We ended up with a whole suite for less than the cost of any of the hotel rooms we normally stay at in Ocean Shores. Of course you don't get room service or a […] restaraunt or indoor pool or hot tub, but it's within very easy walking distance of the shops, restaraunts and the beach you can't complain for the price. The location and size of the room was outstanding for the price. Staff very friendly. Room was a great size, it could use new carpet to get rid of stale cigarette odor and stains that look like they would come out. A wee bit more attention to deep cleaning would be good. Room was clean...but coffee pot had not had a thorough clean in a while. Also ran […] out of hot water 5 minutes into a 7 minute shower. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much. They left yummy popcorn and chips for a movie. Bed was very comfy as was the sofa in the living room. We appreciated the black out curtains when the sun starting beating into the room. It also made it kinda romantic. Thank you for such a good stay. We will definitely stay there again. Rooms have been updated and were very clean and with stove, refrigerator etc so you can cook you own meals. Close to great resteraunts. Pizza place next door was outof this world. Close to IGA grocery. Excellent choice.

This hotel was a last-minute booking and a fantastic value. The suites include a full kitchenette, including dishes and silverware. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although the bathroom was clearly older fixtures. It's right across the street from the beach at the end of the main strip, so you really can't beat the location.

I have stayed at most of the hotels in ocean shores and at rented houses. This was the nicest hotel room I have had there! The room was big, clean, great bed and perfect location. I was even allowed to check in at 1pm when I arrived early. My room wasn't ready buy they moved me to a comparable room. Great service to go with great room. I will be staying […] here from now on. We had a big studio room with two balconies, one greeting the sun rise and the other over looking the golf course. King bed, two TV's, and a nice living room area. The only bad thing about the room was the sheets were not changed from the previous guest. I was told that housekeeping came in every third day. I told them this was my first night at the […] motel. It kind of creaped me out wondering if the rest of the room was thoroughly cleaned before we arrive. We noticed the bedding just before bedtime so we weren't able to change rooms. My husband and i will NEVER stay at this hotel again. When we arrived and walked in there were 3 employees at the front desk, and not any of them welcomed us or even said hello. On gentlemen proceeded to help us and then had another guy finish with our reservation. As we stood there waiting the second gentleman proceed to finish and look in policy booksand […] downgraded our room because of the dog we mentioned, without ever say a single word. 15 minutes later He handed us two key cards and said our room was ready. My husband and i then went to our room and we were MORTIFIED to find that we probably had the worst room in the hotel. 2 queen beds, NO comforters, just two sheets and a thin blanket, the carpet was damp and stained, the refridgerator and microwave were on the floor. It smelled old and musty. It reminded me of the baraks my husband used to stay in in the military. We had paid for 2 nights and decieded that we were Not going to stay the second night do to the conditions. We were not comfortable letting my 18 month old grandson walk around the room, and we all also kept our shoes on everytime we had to walk around in the room.We had drove four hours and there were no other hotel rooms available to change to for the weekend so we just cut our stay. Things started off kinda shakey at the beginning before I even got there and I was thinking "Oh great problems and I haven't even gotten there"; however after talking to the hotel staff things got straightened out. When we got there I was impressed as soon as we drove up and I went into the office. The staff was great. The were friendly, inviting, and […] accomodating. Due to the challenges during the check-in process, the staff upgraded our room for no extra charge. The room was impressive and I loved the outside courtyard it was beautiful. This was the Greatest Place to stay - I would recommend it to anyone, this will be the place i will come back to again and again-i have stayed at 5 different places in ocean shores and this was the first time iwas truely excited about the decor the spaciouseness and friendly staff- no complaints here !

rooms were above average and not to far from ocean. My only complaint was the refrigerator was too noisy so I unpluged it and told management. I would recommend it though as a 2 star or 2.5 as it was economical and had nice features like a pool, kitchen, and spacious rooms.

My family and I had a great time. My kids loved it. We got a one bedroom across from the pool. I had a hard time getting them to go to the beach! It was about a 10 minute walk to the beach. Almost a little too far with kids, so you might want to drive even though its only a block away! Room slightly dated, it was more like a condo or apartment, but […] clean, so it was good because we had more room and my wife got to read in bed and me and kids watched tv later. Check in slow, but there were a lot of people checking in, and the person was new, but very friendly and also taking the time to tell us where to go. Pizza place two doors awy expensive but good. The staff were very helpful, and courtious. The experience in this hotel was A++. I would recommend for a great family experience. Very family orientated. They have an indoor pool as well as an outdoor pool.

It was very close to shopping and the beach. For a last min trip the hotel was very nice. I would go there again.

The negative: Pillows/blankets not in the room for the pull out. Called the front desk several times and no answer. Uncertain we were dialing the right number because there was no indication in the room or on the phone on how to contact the front desk. Food and crumbs under the coffee maker. The trash under the kitchen sink was not emptied. Dishes […] looked brand new, but not cleaned prior to putting them in the cupboards. Need curtains in the bedroom to keep the sunlight out. After a long day at the beach and playing half of the night, I would like to sleep past 5:30 am. The blinds did not keep the sun out. Not as close to the beach as I thought. Most people would have to drive. But it would only take a few minutes to get there. The positive: The staff is friendly. The rooms are large enough for a family for 4. I loved the balconies. It was nice having a full size kitchen with all the amenities, including microwave. For a family on a budget this is a nice place to stay. It appears that these were apartments converted. Still close to everything. Pet friendly. Pool seemed to be maintained. Plenty of parking, carpet was thick and clean. Upon arrival found the refrigerator dirty, rust chunks in our water, carpet dirty, no bedding on hide-a-bed and the soap dish which was mounted in the tile along the wall of the shower fell down and landed on my chest. Kitchen lights didn't work. Moved me to another room and upgraded my stay at their expense and then the refrigerator wasn't working. […] The disposal didn't work, and we only had one working light in both bathrooms. This place was NOT ready for anyone to stay here. I got 10% off my next stay but really don't think I will stay here again. Not to mention the cartridges were flipped in both bathrooms in the new room and the bathroom in the first room....so cold water was hot and visa versa :( The employees, however, were wonderfully apologetic and just very kind!!
