Very clean, friendly/helpful people and very close to the center of the city.

While this was a little further out from Charleston, it was just what we needed. Clean, enough space and extra things like breakfast and a pool that just made it that much easier. Also, it was close to some good reasturants as well. I would recommend it if you don't mind the drive in to the downtown area (traffic was bad). The hotel was very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very nice. The breakfast was good, but I would have liked to have had more fruit.

Few problems, very clean, excellent services, best breakfast, coffee all day, nice pool, good location for tourists and casual visitors, prices of restaurants in 5 mile area very comfortable. HIghly recommend. Sleeper/couch was very poor as a couch - too cheap a model, but that is my only complaint.

But housekeeping can do a much better job at cleaning. The bathroom had a used facial towel hanging behind the shower curtain from the previous guests. The previous guest must have been shedding because there was hair on the sink and pillowcases. This was my second time staying there. Nice clean rooms.I really liked the room setup for the king room with the sitting area separate from the sleeping area. Definitely a plus!

Excellent. We have stayed there about 8 times and were always satisfied.

We were looking for a hotel with suites, as we have two small children, and this seemed like an affordable option. We have a dog too and it was one of the few pet-friendly suite hotels. We've stayed here the past two Thanksgivings and the rates were extremely affordable, the breakfast was wonderful, and the service was always friendly. My only complaint […] is that's it's on a busy road and not the best neighborhood, but unless you're planning on hanging out at the hotel all day, the location is wonderful. the hotel was very nice for the price. The area surrounding the hotel was not inviting at all. Once you got on the inside of the hotel, it was very nice.

Clean, quiet. Check in was easy and staff very courteous. Complimentary breakfast was great.

Hotel was well equiped for our needs. Attending a family wedding and there were 10 in our party. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Will stay again when in Charleston, SC.

the hotel in Charleston is great for people waiting to ggo to the hospital or somewhere. Not really a romantic place, butt very nic and clean and the neighborhod is good and lots of eating places. I would definately stay again

The hotel was nice. For being a Wyndham I thot it would be a little nicer. The front desk people were great. They were very helpful to us. I wish the dishes were in the rooms cuz we brot snacks but didn't have anything to eat with. It was a pain to have to go to front desk to get the stuff. Also why don't hotels use soft toilet paper. We come to Charleston several times a year. This was our first time staying here, but it will not be our last. it's everything you want in a hotel room. From the time you enter the door, the friendly service. to the time you enter your room, its clean and the beds are very comfortable and the rooms are like small apartments.

The hotel is in a bad location............The pool water was too cold and I hated that one has to go outside to a indoor pool. The breakfast hours was not long enough,the food ran short before closing.

Nice hotel, very ample rooms with sitting area & sofa, full size refrig, micro, and bar sink. Great accommodations. OK breakfast. Convenient location, but hard to find, simply because the sign is small from one direction and obscured by trees in the other. Even with 3 nites stay, we kept passing it up. The room/suite setup was great as was the breakfast the hotel served. The room was clean and the bed fairly comfortable. Only draw back the hotel was a fair distance from downtown Charleston. But I think we would stay here again.

TV's in rooms are OLD just like in Long Island last month

It was Ok however not sure I would stay again. The rooms were fine not fond of location. Served Breakfast if you can get a deal fine however I think you can do better not sure I would stay again. Nothing really wrong I just didn't like the feel.

Very nice room lay out,big bath room,and a really comfortable bed.

Desk staff not at all helpful about surrounding area. One acted like he did not want to be there. Called ahead to ensure services (shuttle) could be arranged but upon arrival shuttle did not operate except to the airport. Were told it was cheeper to get a cab. I stay in hundreds of hotels each year. This one is as clean and friendly as any I've ever stayed at. The staff are GREAT! The location is a $20 taxi to downtown (and $20 back). The next time I stay in Charleston I would stay closer to downtown to save the $40 return taxi fare each time I wanted to go anywhere. Even though the location was not perfect (commercial area) the Hotel can be recommended. Enjoyed the free service to go downtown. General problem not only true for this hotel but throughout the US: The dishes made of plastics.

the hotel was easy to find,also close to diner and stores..

Our room was large, with kitchen seperating living room and bedroom area. Room had 2 TVs, desk, full size frig and large bathroom. Hotel staff was friendly. Indoor pool was warm and in a large room with lots of chairs, towels, and a restroom. It does not have a hot tub. The breakfast area, is a large room with lots of tables and TV and a couch. We enjoyed the Hawthorn's modern look when entering the lobby. The breakfast area is vast with a lot of seating, with a small lounge area in the corner that includes a couch with flat panel TV. The room configuration was great. Two Queen beds provided plenty of accommodation in the back half. In the front half there was a sleeper sofa and chair along […] with desk and 2nd TV with DVD player built in. The best part was the kitchenette with full refrigerator, sink, and microwave. The cabinets came in handy for storage as well. I used the Pool and Fitness center. The Pool in particular was a highlight in that it is indoors. Breakfast was acceptable, but not laden with variety. They served the same hot choices each day we were there. Seemingly fake eggs, dry bacon, and grits. They only have one waffle iron, so at peak times, a line develops to use it. The location is convenient to both Charleston and Kiawah/Seabrook Islands, as it's about mid-way. There are plenty of conveniences, including restaurants, a mall, even a Costco. Besides that the surrounding neighborhood did not look appealing or particularly safe, but I'm not able to say for sure either way about safety. This hotel has a complimentary hot breakfast every morning! It was good food, too. Staff were ready and willing to aid us and answer any questions we had. They were informative about things to go and do. We were a party of 4 adults, 1 teenager, and one toddler. The handicap room was just what I needed. It served me for good. I felt safe in the shower with the bars.

Worth the price i like the hotel and the place

Last minute change to plans left us choosing a quick hotel. The room was nice, LOVED the BED! Sooooo comfy could of slept all day! Great customer service and breakfast buffet! Would stay again!

The only problem we had is the maids did not clean our room the last day we were there? When we went to our room, there were a pile of towels outside in the hallway. Would not stay here again. Over-priced hotel, with only average rooms. Nothing special and some of the staff not so courteous. Put me in a room that I did not request/book. Also when finally changed my rooms....the next day, a roach was waiting in the next room. Bad experience. There are much better hotels for less money all over Charleston.

This hotel was perfect for a family of five (including 3 teenagers) Staff was very nice and only a short drive to downtown Charleston. room included two t.v's so everyone was happy!
