Hilton Sharks Bay Resort - Sharm el Sheikh

Most impressed by the friendly atmosphere at this hotel. The waiters went out their way to please even though the buffet was bland and tiresome. We stayed in the old part and ventured to the Asian Restaurant in the new part which looked stunning but not as friendly .

My husband and I spent a long weekend in February 2012 at the Hilton Sharks Bay Resort. The weather was a bit cooler than we would have liked, but we still got plenty of sun. Our room was large, comfy and clean, located on the new side of the resort closer to the mountains. The heated pool had hot water coming into it from tiny vents, but it wasn't […] enought to actually heat the entire pool, which was very large, and one of three on the new side. The wind coming off the mountains was a bit chilly and sometimes very strong. We discovered that the pool area on the old side of the resort, closer to the sea and blocked from the mountains by the main buildings, had less wind and was typically warmer. If you're a big baby like me you may want to find a spot by the pool on the old side to stay a bit warmer while you sunbathe. Unfortunately, the old pool is not heated, so it was a bit chilly, but still a fun swim with a swim up bar. The resort's beach was very tiny, so if you intend to spend most of your time in the Red Sea you may want to stay at a hotel with a larger beach. We had an all inclusive package, so all our meals were included, except for their one specialty restaurant. The food was typically bland, probably so that it was edible by a greater range of people. The pastries at breakfast were excellent and the made to order eggs were good too. The specialty restaurant, which we paid for, was Houses of Asia. It's food was typical of Chinese/Thai/Indian take away, but twice as expensive. If you're really in the mood for Asian food, go for it, but don't be surprised that it's not a mind-blowing experience. The staff at the hotel were always very nice and helpful and the hotel itself, both old and new sides, were clean and very well kept. The entire experience was very good and except for the chilly weather (goes hand in hand with a February vacation), the very small beach, and the generally bland food, we'd recommend this hotel. Amazing place for couples, all inclusive is worth it. If you plan to go there on new years the hotel makes you pay a 130$ mandatory fee for dinner. Dinner was horrible. All the meat was over cooked and dry and the music was loud and uncomfortable (carnival music). Other than that, SoHo square is in walking distance and Namaa Bay is ten minutes away […] . very nice hotel great service

Most of the staff was friendly but always pay more attention to foreign guests than locals. Mr Moheb at the reception is very welcoming and helpful. The all Inclusive is good value for money. The receptionist forgot to keep photocopies of our passport and as a result of this mistake I received 2 messages and a call that i have to go the reception with […] my passport which was upsetting. The pool was great. The beach is far from the new extension but the sea water is amazing. On the second day of our stay the towels delivered after 5 PM and no water bottels, I called the housekeeping 3 times for the water and finally it was delivered after more than 1 hour!! We had to wait more than 2 hours for the babycot although I orderd it in advance with our booking, when it was delivered it was in a very bad condition. Ďalšie informácie

i have visited this hotel before and was very satisfied..but this time, because there wasn"t many people there they decided to close the restaurant on the beach side.and you had to walk up the bank to the new hotel, the food was really bad i will not be returning

Overall this hotel is fine. The breakfast was the same each morning, the front of house hit and miss. When booking in you will be automatically asked to upgrade your room, we didn't and was put into a cubby hole, chipped furniture, broken tiles so we asked to change rooms and fair play to them they moved us without a fuss. A lovely hotel, the photos do not lie. Service is a little unpredictable, either they're all over you like a rash or you'll wait ages to get served. Tipping (USD preferred)helps a bit, but still not a total solution. Regardless of the room you booked, you will be offered an upgrade...if you don't want to pay you are often upgraded for free - this is […] good as the new side is vastly better, but not worth the extra money in my opinion. Food is good, with special nights and a good range anyway. Pools great, if a little shallow in most cases. This hotel is only 5 minutes from the airport by an inexpensive taxiride so it is convinient. My room was extreamly clean and the whole facility too. Very nice little beach. I was upgraded when I arrived to the hotel so I had all inclusive but i had only paid for the room and breakfast! Very very good value!

Globalement de très bonnes vacances outre le fait que nous étions les deux seuls français de l hôtel... Les chambres sont de très bon confort, très propres, nous avions vue sur mer avec un balcon et prenions le café le matin face à la mer...un vrai bonheur Le personnel est dans l'ensemble très poli, dommage que les personnes de la réception ne parlent […] pas du tout français.La plage est propre et les transats très confortables.. La formule All In est quand même très légère, les buffets très répétitifs..nous avions le droit a un repas au restaurant Italien (qui n avait d italien que son nom) pendant le séjour, nous y sommes allés et au surprise les boissons étaient payantes...un peu léger pour une formule all in.. Une autre surprise...l hôtel est divisé en deux parties, l une à proximité de la mer et une autre partie complètement à l extrémité qui vient d être rénovée et simplement séparée de l aéroport par une simple route...vous êtes à la piscine et vous voyez les avions décoller et atterrir...nous avons eu la chance d être coté mer donc pas de souci..mais nous n enviions pas les personnes dans la partie rénovée Encore une fois, les vacances furent sympa...28 degrés le 20 novembre..un pur bonheur Ďalšie informácie

Hotellet var dejligt. Det er opdelt, så på den ene side ligger den mindre del af hotellet med virkelig dejlige pools og direkte til stranden. På den anden side af vejen ligger den nye tilbygning hvor den indeholder en KÆMPE (MEGA) pool, og flere hundrede værelser! Vi ville dog altid vælge siden mod stranden da den klart er hyggelist! Min søn og jeg valgte at booke dette hotel for 2 dage på vores uge til sharm el sheikh.Vi boede oprindeligt på Maritim golf, men ville gerne besøge dette hotel, da har boet på hotellet 4 gange før og de har et dejligt husrev at snokle ved. Denne gang blev oplevelsen dog en helt anden. Vi fik en fin velkomst og blev opgraderet til guld armbånd og blev […] kørt med golf vogn til vores værelse som var perfekt.. Bagefter gik vi i olympic bar og ville have noget at drikke, det var helt umuligt. Tjernene valgte ikke at se os, selv om jeg gav dem drikke penge .Folk stod i kø oven på hinanen og der lugtede af gammel øl, så vi valge at give op og gå i seng. Dagen efter spiste vi morgemad og gik til stranden. Min søn fik det dårligt og vi besluttede at tage tilbage til Martim golf hvis han skulle få brug for lægehjælp. Vi pakkede og gik med vores kufferter i receptionen. Her spurgte jeg om jeg kunne få en taxi fra hotellet. De sagde straks "Ja selvfølgelig" og spurgte om vi skulle til luft havnen. Jeg fortalte at vi skulle til Maritim golf hotellet, så sagde de til mig at jeg ikke kunne få en taxi fra hotellet, jeg måtte gå på gaden og finde en. Jeg synes det er den værste service jeg har oplevet. Jeg stod der som alene mor med min søn og måtte køre med en lokal taxi som iøvrigt ikke kunne finde vores andet hotel, så det endte med vi blev kørt helt til naarma bay.Jeg holder meget af at rejse til sharm for at snokle og dykke, men jeg har ikke lyst til at udsætte mig selv for farer, så jeg køre altid med hotellets taxi, og det havde bestemt ikke forestillet mig var et problem på dette Hilton hotel. En rigtig dårlig oplevelse af servicen på dette hotel. Jeg overvejer ikke at bruge hotellet mere efter denne oplevelse, som vi ellers altid besøger når vi rejser hele familien, og iøvrigt også har anbefalet til mange andre. Ďalšie informácie

Mycket trevlig hotell bara 10 min från flygplatsen. Hotellet har en äldre o en nyare hotelldel.Vi bodde på den äldre delen som vi tyckte var mer familjär och dessutom nära till både stranden och till poolerna. För familjer med barnvagn så var det en del trappor vid stranden.För de lata semesterfirarna som inte orkar gå till stranden, så fanns det en […] liten buss som man kunde hoppa på som gick runt hotellområdet. Vi blev magsjuka, vi åt bara på hotellet vi misstänker glassen från frysboxarna så undvik den. Annars trevlig personal. Mycket ryssar nästan inga svenskar alls. Ďalšie informácie

Albergo un po' datato nella parte vicina al mare, che è preferibile per chi fa vita di spiaggia. Cibo ordinario, causa alla inclusive. Solo la colazione è degna di un Hilton. Grande servizio, bellissime spiaggette a terrazze e mare incredibile per snorkeling. Animazione non invadente, salvo concerti improvvisati vicino alle camere finoa mezzanotte.
