Everything was as expected or even better. Location is not ultra-near to Fisherman's Wharf, but manageable by foot, as well as other spots downtown. For Union square and Chinatown, consider public transport. Area seems safe and reasonably busy at night (came home at 10pm, walking along Lombard St - no problem). Very convenient to walk to Union Street […] / Fillmore Street Shops and to Pacific Heights. Room was quite quiet because it was towards a back street. I imagine it can get loud if you have a room towards Lombard street, or a room next to the noisy ice maker in the hallway - try to make sure that you get one away from both. In the morning at 5:30am, a delivery truck unloaded in front of our window, but that's to be expected in a city, and we had the window open. Stil very good night's sleep due to excellent beds and nice, clean room. Coffee maker in bathroom is not ideal, but did not bother us personally. Free parking in safe, easily reachable garage is an absolute plus which makes the price worthwhile, even though you can find cheaper stays nearby. Ďalšie informácie

A good quality hotel not too far from the centre of town, a short walk from the seafront and 1 block away from a regular bus service and with the bonus of free car parking, which in the case of downtown hotels is almost as expensive as the room rate. Overall I thought the hotel was pretty nice. It does need some TLC and it could be a very nice hotel. Our room was on the side of the hotel opposite of Lombard so it was ok. The hotel was pretty nice. It is in a great location really close to some very good resturants. We were fortunate to be on the quieter side of the hotel. If you faced Lombard street I would think it could be quit noisy. There was quit a bit of noise from the people who lived behind the hotel. The had been out Fri, Sat and Sunday night. Our room was clean, roomy, and in a quiet location. The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and shops, close to bus stops, but traffic is heavy on the main street. We were thankful to be placed away from the noise of the main street. The Chelsea Motor Inn is an older facility, but well maintained. All personnel were pleasant […] and helpful. Convenient and clean. There was a lot of street noise and I could not get online with my MAC Powerbook either with the wireless or with the ethernet cable

lovely hotel in a fun area and close to other great areas of SF. As others have said, a little on the noisy side due to street noise. We were off the main street and it was still quite noisy. We will ask for interior rooms next time. We plan to return, just will be a little wiser for sleeping comfort.

Location was excellent, security of the building and parking garage were excellent, overall quality of the room- neat, tidy and comfortable enough. It's walking distance to all my favorite Marina hot spots!!

My brother and I really enjoyed our stay at the Chelsea Motor Inn. The hotel was in a great neighborhood and the service was wonderful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to San Francisco.

I love this area of San Francisco because of the restaurants and shops and the proximity to the bay, so I was delighted to find this hotel. It was clean and comfortable with large spacious rooms. I had read the complaints about the noise and it was true that we were awoken by a loud argument in the street sometime in the night and there are several […] bars in the area. But having been forewarned, we wore earplugs and fell back asleep. Otherwise, it was not noisy at all. And there is free parking, which is a real bonus in SF. I would definitely return. Great location . I was not bothered by the noise outside.

. . . overall a great value. It's true that you can hear the band from across the street; for us that wasn't a problem. If you want to stay in the Marina neighborhood (and especially if you have a car to park) this is a good choice.

Parkplatz kostenlos vorhanden. Liegt direkt an der Straße zur Golden Gate Bridge, daher entsprechender Verkehr. Kneipen in der Nebenstraße, also auch Lärm von der anderen Seite. Zu Fuß ca. 45 Min bis Pier 39 oder Innenstadt. Kein Frühstück. Alles in allem okay, man sollte aber die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel nutzen.

Das Hotel steht dort, wo San Francisco lebt.... Bars und Restaurant in der unmittelbaren Nähe des Hotels werden besonders am Fr und Sa von vielen jungen Leuten aus SF besucht. Das Hotel steht unweit des Meers, wo man Sicht auf Alcatraz hat. Die Gegend um das Hotel zeichnet sich durch Einfamilienhäuser der gehobenen Mittelklasse aus. Je recommande cet hotel d'un excellent rapport qualité/prix pour une ville comme San Francisco. Attention, petit déjeuner à prévoir en dehors de l'hotel, ce dernier n'assurant pas cette prestation.

2days stay it was good hotel clean and calm.. Not so noisy even located one of main street .though I saw other review... I can recommend this hotel to others..

excelente custo-beneficio. Hotel fica localizado perto de restaurantes e facil acesso a diversas atracoes de san francisco. Quartos amplos e limpos. Recomendo com certeza.

Nettes Hotel,liegt sehr zentral an einer stark befahrenen Straße. Sauber und gepflegt. .Am Wochenende,durch die vielen Lokale in der Nähe, sehr laut . Parkplätze kostenfrei vorhanden. Gute Anbindung auch mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel.. Würde es wieder buchen.

Das Hotel ist klein, eigentlich nichts besonderes aber super Lage an der Lombard Street, viele Cafes und Restaurants. Alles sauber und der Service war 1a! Wir vielen Tipps an der Rezeption bekommen. Das Parken ist kostenlos.

Vi spenderade (tyvärr) bara två nätter på detta charmiga hotell. Enligt de recensioner jag läst innan jag bokade rummet skulle rummen ut mot Lombard Street var ljudliga vilket stämde men jämfört med de andra hotell vi bott på under vår vistelse i USA så var det inte så illa. Den trevliga atmosfären på rummet och hotellet i stort samt det utmärkta parkeringsgaraget […] gjorde lite ljud lätt att leva med. Das CHELSEA MOTOR INN liegt an der stark frequentierten Lombard Street. Lärm von der Straße konnten wir aber keinen wahrnehmen. Die Zimmer sind schon etwas älter, aber sehr groß, mit Holzmöbeln und sehr sauber. Gleich in der Nähe ist ein Bus mit dem man zu Fisherman's Wharf, etc. kommt. Das Chelsea Motor Inn liegt in einer sicheren Gegend mit vielen Restaurants, Kneipen und kleinen Geschäften im näheren Umfeld (Chestnut, Fillmore und Union Street). Es liegt zwar auch an der stark befahrenen 6-spurigen Lombard, die sich aber allenfalls im früh einsetzenden Berufsverkehr störend auswirkt. Die Lage ist ideal für einen San Francisco Aufenthalt […] mit Auto. Zum einen ist man schnell auf den Ausfallstrassen (insbesondere zur Golden Gate Brücke) zum anderen ist man mit gleich mehreren Buslinien rasch im Zentrum oder am Fisherman's wharf (wer 30-40 Minuten seines San Francisco Aufenthalt opfert kann zu letzteren auch laufen). Es gibt allerdings keine Mehrtagesfahrkarten für die Verkehrsbetriebe, sondern nur einzeltickets (Betrag muss passend sein) in unmittelbarer Nähe zu kaufen. Das beste ist jedoch die Tiefgarage ohne Zusatzkosten!! und die können in SF sehr teuer sein. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und groß. Ich konnte von unserem Fenster sogar die Pfeiler der Golden Gate Brigde sehen. Auch das Bad war sauber und geräumig. Der Zimmerservice war einwandfrei. Ďalšie informácie

Das Hotel liegt zentral, man kann vieles zu Fuß erkunden. Personal war freundlich, unser Zimmer sauber und komfortabel. Auto konnte man kostenfrei in der Tiefgarage abstellen, was wir sehr begrüßten. - Es gab nichts zu beanstanden und wir würden hier wieder buchen.
