Granada Inn - Santa Clara

Was brief and ok.

The staff at Granada Inn was wonderfully friendly and helpful when I stayed their with my two children. Someone was always at the front desk, and when we asked for extra pillows, they brought them to our room immediately. This hotel is in a perfect central location in Santa Clara, and has some unique amenities. The room itself is equipped with a two-burner […] stove and dishes in addition to usual things like a mini fridge and coffee maker. It has a flat-screen wall-mounted TV. Also, there is a charming upstairs dining area with other kitchen appliances and a bistro-style sitting area. Comfortable room with a fully-furnished kitchenette. Continental breakfast in the morning really helps. Good Korean food nearby in the food court of Koreatown mall, near corner of Lawrence Expressway and El Camino Real.

Quality is not the greatest but you do get a clean room and a hot shower. There is a small kitchen included with pots and pans to cook or heat up any left overs.

The hotel has a cute and clean kitchen with utensils with paper towel too. They clean everyday . Thanks to hotel.com for they have lots of choices. Parking is free. Only 10 to 12 minutes away from convention center.

Run down and dirty carpets, and the rooms smell like curry, but acceptable as a business hotel.

Room is clean and neat. I love their strong hot shower. Great price for a motel room with continental breakfast. The hotel is very close to where I work. Though the room is outdated, the shower makes it very comfortable after a day's work. I'll come back and stay again.

Quite, and clean. Had problems with the toilet always running. I had to pull the back off and fix it after every flush. The refridgerator door gasket didn't seal, and the shower leaked. Overall, it did the job.

There was nothin special about the hotel yet the service was good and me and my girl were both happy with the condition of the room... For the low price of the room it smelled and looked a lot cleaner than some of the places we have stayed... Over all satisfied pre valentines day.. AAF

Pleasant stay, restaurants everywhere. Liked the kitchenette and the coffee in the morning.

This was a very good value for the rate. The staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was rather sparse, but I slept well, which was the most important.

I'm used to staying in hotels that don't have a lot of frills, but I've never stayed in one that was this rundown or, frankly, this _unclean_. I was travelling for work and so booked a room ahead of time and chose this place because of its location, though its price was comprable to other larger chain hotels that were further away. Had I waited until […] I actually got there, though, I wouldn't have stayed. To start, there is something decidedly unnerving talking to a front desk person behind plastic security glass surrounded by signs stating the rules - "no visitors after 9pm", "no drugs on premises". The person at the desk, though, was really nice, quickly got me checked in, and was helpful. It was the only positive about the hotel. The room itself, though, was where it really got bad. I walk in and the first thing I see is that there is a fist-sized hole in the wall that has been quickly taped over and painted. (yes, taped). The room also reeked of cleaning supplies (a smell which permeated all my clothing, so I went to work the next day smelling like i'd bathed in lysol). the toilet had a "sanitized for your protection" seal on it, but when i lifted the lid, it clearly had not been. As well, the bathroom faucets and fixtures were rusty and the toilet paper and kleenex were brittle because they'd been sprayed with cleaning products. The only plus was that the shower did have good water pressure, though. As for the room, it did have a sizeable fridge, which was nice, but the walls were paperthin, so i heard the couple next door's entire conversation and lengthy bedroom adventures. As well, the television's color saturation was off so it was really dark and the image kept getting fuzzy and cutting out. Lastly, i discovered, to my utter dismay, that the fitted sheet on the bed was actually just a regular sheet that had been tucked in, which would have been fine, except that it was 10 INCHES TOO SHORT. i'm a tall person, so my feet reach the end of the bed, and realiz Ďalšie informácie

Lotta bang for your buck. Great location.

The hotel smelled bad. The bathroom and sheets were clean, but the carpet was dirty. Mine actually had big iron burn marks in it. The kitchenette area in the room was old and the refrig was rusty.

The lady working there was rude with no professional customer service qualifications. The hotel WIFI disabled my internet on my cell phone, was telling me to check with the hotel desk. When I did check with them I was told they charge $ 3 each night for WIFI access. The refrigerater had rust inside didn't even want to put my food in it. When reading my review keep in mind that I did not sleep here. I reserved a room for a photoshoot. I only spent a maximum of 3 hours here. The desk woman was nice. They do have a deposit for late check outs but it's not a problem if you're someone who's on time. I guess the only part of the hotel I can really review is the room. The toilet was brand […] new... Still had the packaging on it! I'm assuming something happened to it because everything else in the room looked like it had never been updated. Box tv. A tiny old stove. Even a built in can opener and a disgusting looking mini fridge. Hey - at least they had a stove and fridge. For a standard room I was surprised. The shower was a cute corner style. Some mold in the ceiling and the showerhead plumbing was exposed from the wall. The bedsheets and blankets had stains. And probably most disgusting is they never seemed to vacuum under or behind anything. There was a good foot of space under the bed, easy for a vacuum to fit under, but they never vacuumed! There was so much dust, candy wrappers and old receipts under the bed. The room did have a AC unit that worked well and a giant window. Overall this hotel would be ok for a one night stay out of desperation or a stiff budget... otherwise I'd pay the extra money for a nicer place. There's a lot of hotels on this part of El Camino. This hotel is a bit tired but would do okay if not the absolutely horrible frontdesk personnel. Being a fivestar member and staying over 200 nights in the last 36 months around the world, I am fairly sure that frontdesk people from Granada Inn are not doing it right. You get what you pay for. We opted not to pay the outrageous hotel rates associated with Santa Cruz in the summertime. So, we booked at Granada in nearby Santa Clara. The room had stove, fridge, and M/W and STD cable TV. The WiFi was $3 extra per day. There was a man's green panty left behind a chair in the room. The room was very small and just plain unclean. The outside has a good paint job and that is the end of their upkeep policy. Everything was grimy and old. The dressers were peeling, carpet worn, and uncomfortable to anyone with a basic understanding of germs and contagion. Then to top it off, they claimed they didn't know anything about the stay 10 days and receive one day for free deal from Hotel.com. I told them at check-in but they didn't say anything until the 10th day, then they couldn't understand what I was saying. I didn't protest very much - I was ready to go. I would have left sooner but I didn't know how to cancel after spending my money. Granada has a no refund policy. And it is easy to see why. I was surprised to fiind I would have to pay $2 to get the password to get online, with my personal computer. There were several water stains in the hotel and the room. The Granada Inn Santa Clara was a nice, moderate hotel with a kitchenette in the room and Wireless internet (for a token fee). I was attending a conference in the Hyatt next to the Convention Center, and did not want to pay the Hyatt's rates. The Granada Inn was 10 minutes away, and a comfortable alternative. I recommend it.

Centrally located, close to Great America, Santa Cruz, etc.

The hotel was near the place I had to be for business. I expected nothing more and had a comfortable night.

The best aspect of this hotel was its staff; everyone was friendly and helpful. However, we found ourselves locked out of our rooms every night because our keys and lock was malfunctioning. Our bed did not have a fitted sheet and the shower made a strange shreiking noise when the water was on high. There was a strange smell in the lobby; it smelled […] similar to chicken bouillon. The breakfast could have been better. The menu consisted of breakfast claws, cheese horns and toast all three nights of my stay. There is much that needs to be refurbished at this hotel. About what could lbe expected for the price. Cheaper remodel, rugs a little suspect as to cleanliness, etc.

well all can be said about the place is its a roof and a bed to pass the night it is a old hotel and kept I guess as well as they possiabley can for the state of the hotel the price should be much much lower!

Yes this is a low budget place to stay. It was good because my budget was low. This isn't the newest of places and things are the fanciest, but the staff was really nice. The room was clean and the sheets where white and not dingy. So when you need a place to crash and your budget conscience, give it a shot.

Its rated as a 1 star and that's exactly what it is!!! Didn't expect anything more. Nothing worked such as lamps and heater and was very dirty. Will never go back...
