There's not a lot to say about this hotel that hasn't already been said. The entire place is pristine! The grounds comprise a plethora of crystal clear, sparkling pools surrounded by the most beautifully manicured tropical gardens I've ever witnessed in a European hotel. There is a large comfortable lounge area (where you can make use of the free wi-fi […] which is not available in the rooms). Our room was spacious (in fact huge!) and afforded us a splendid vista across the Ocean; it too was so clean it was like new. If you're a fan of cleanliness, this is the place for you. A fine breakfast spread of breads, meats and cheeses, fruits and cereals, salads, cooked food, fresh pastries and local specialities did not disappoint - the mini Portuguese custard tarts were superb! A word to the wise, the majority of guests are 'more mature' and the hotel tends to tailor its offering to this market, including the ballroom style music in the main bar some evenings .... this might not be to everyone's taste, however there are ample bars and restaurants nearby and a short bus ride away in Funchal that this should not put you off staying here. I'm in my mid 40's and would return to this hotel in a flash for the peace and tranquility it offers! Ďalšie informácie

This is the second time staying at The Porto Mare and have we havehad an excellent stay each time . Staff are pleasant and helpful room large and very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice and good service Def no negative commments .Thanks to all the managment and staff for a lovely stay

Um zu unserem Zimmer zu gelangen, mussten wir einen weiten Weg zurücklegen. Wir bevorzugen kleinere, persönliche Hotels. Das Zimmer mit Meerblick war geräumig und hatte eine kleine Küche integriert. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Negativ empfanden wir die zeitweise Unterbesetzung an der Rezeption. Dies führte zu Wartezeiten. Die Anlage […] ist sehr gepflegt mit einer wunderschönen Gartenanlage. Nach dem 2. Tag fühlten auch wir uns wohl in diesem "grossen" Hotel. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist sehr vielseitig mit einer grossen Brotauswahl. Wir haben auch 2x à la carte im Restaurant "med" gegessen, und es war ausgezeichnet. Wir werden dieses Hotel wieder buchen. Helt fantastisk hotel med flott beliggenhet og alle fasiliteter lett tilgjengelig. Rommet og terassen var nok en av de beste som gjorde oppholdet veldig bra. Kommer gjerne igjen.

Das Hotel bietet so viele Nutzungsmöglichkeiten , so dass es zu keiner Tageszeit langweilig wird. Innerhalb der einen Woche konnten wir gar nicht alles nutzen, weil wir ja eigentlich Wanderferien auf Madeira machen wollten.
