The hotel seems to have been renovated recently. Everything is very new, and extremely clean (and I am really picky). The address to need to put on your GPS is the BLACKSON street, otherwise, you'll never get there. Call in advance and check. The neighborhood is not the best, but this hotel was close to the places I had to go to in Austin, and is 15 min away from downtown. Breakfast is very good also. The front desk were very friendly and obliging. They alloted me a certain room and when I went there the room was not cleaned and so I sat in the Lobby for half an hour for them to take care of this. The phone in the room had no dial tone . apart from that the room once cleaned was very good. I loved my room. The amenities inside the room was very good […] . I never saw the freshly baked cookies. I was a little disappointed. The room was stocked correctly with towels the first night. We were given less towels the next day.

This is a great hotel, but don't follow your GPS system to get there. The directions took us into the hotel from the rear, and it's not a very nice neighborhood. You want to stay on the access road to get to the hotel. It's not that we didn't feel safe, but it's not very picturesque. Booked the same day just before leaving DFW on a road trip to Austin for a concert @ Stubbs BBQ. The price & location off of I-35 near downtown Austin were the selling points. The condition of the hotel, & room was what we were looking for as everything appeared well cared for regarding room cleanliness, & maintenance. We slept in after a late night […] out, & thus we missed the free breakfast by the time we were ready to go @ 10:45am. Room was clean, location was convenient and price was great...why did i give it 3 stars? After a night out in Austin, the wife and I wanted to relax in the hotel hot tub. Unfortunately, there was a homeless kid in the hot tub! The gate to the pool area is NOT secured by a hotel key. The room was acceptable, and the rate we got on Hotels.com made the room an appropriate value. Front desk staff was friendly. The AC thermostat did not read accurately - we had to set it very low to be comfortable.

The room was clean at check in and the staff was friendly. Very convenient to get to local destinations around Austin. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Did not get a chance to try the breakfast. Only complaint is that we were there for 2 days and no one came to clean the room the second day. Tried to get more towels but was told they were out.

Hotel was hard to find at first, but no problem once we arrived. Very clean, quiet, and great place to stay compared to other places we have stayed in Austin. Would defiantly stay there again.

Made a reservation a month in advance. Room was not ready at check in. They allowed us to leave our bags in the room since we needed to leave for the day and couldn't wait around for our room do to schedule. We returned to our room at 3am after working all day to find our room had never been turned over, old sheets on beds, used towels in bathroom and […] belongings from previous inhabitants. When we brought this to the attention of the night manager, he gave us attitude and came to our room, gave us keys for another room and had us move all of our belongings to a room on another floor at 3am. I did not get his name, but the manager was really great. He did everything he could to help us out, even having employees drive us to our conference when transportation options failed. Always friendly and willing to help.

As a female traveling alone for business, I felt safe except that the hotel clerk was never at the desk that evening. He seemed to stay in the back room and only came out when he was called. I have stayed in other hotels in this area (Austin Ghetto) and this one is better than the others. Only complaint is coffee pot in room did not work. No ones fault it just didn't. Coffee in lobby was good. If you must stay in this area (my daughter lives near by) I would stay here. Traffic is so bad tho I don't ever want to return.

The hotel was exactly as stated in most reviews with the following exceptions: The evening front desk clerk was very nice; the morning staff was very happy to accommodate us even though we were late arriving for breakfast. The room was very clean with the exception of strange hairs on each bed and a streak of blood/makeup/dirt/ ? on the bathroom light […] switch. Hotels.com listed several non-existent amenities for this hotel. For example, pool not heated, no bar/lounge, no restaurant, no snack bar/deli unless you count one poorly stocked vending machine. Also, we did have a TV but an old, fading tube TV, definitely not flat screen The only bedding provided was a sheet and a very heavy comforter. We actually […] needed to use the air conditioner to sleep comfortably and it was February, albeit unseasonably warm. The hotel is very hard to find and the given address wasn't recognized by my GPS. (This location is probably not that hard to find if you know and understand the Loop system used in Texas in the larger cities. This was foreign to me - and my GPS, I guess). A local policeman told us we were not in a good neighborhood though we felt safe enough, I must say. On the positive side, the staff was kind and let us check in a few hours early. A little overpriced but it was a big weekend in Austin so hotel rooms were jacked up some.

The room was large and comfortable with lots of room. Comfortable and clean. Excellent. Only minor issue was breakfatst. It was sparse and they ran out of food several times. The eggs were horrible. Breads and pastries were gone early. Needs to be improved.

Very comfortable and clean. Not overly fancy. Breakfast was good. The only negative was it is a little hard to get to via the HWY 35 address. It is easier to put the Blackson Rd in your GPS to get to the place.

Was hard to see at night as hotel sits about a block off I-35 and the signs were off. Hotel seems reasonably well maintained, but is showing some age. I really enjoyed my stay and would have have pronbably stayed again except that my family was accused of stealing pillows from the room. My family and I were on our way home from my graduation in Nacagdoches, Tx and we decided ot go through Austin since it was the Christmas season to shop. I rented two rooms so that we would be comfortable. we were […] carring a lot of pillows and blankets with us because hotels were limited in Nacogdoches. I am assuming that the staff say us leaving with our things and thought that the pillows we had were theirs. After seeing the charges on my card I call back to speak with the manager. He blew me off saying that regardless of what I have to say the pillows are missing and it had to be you. My point was that it could have also been the hotel staff that saw us leaving and decided it was a great opportunity for them to take the pillows. The hotel manager said that his staff would never take anything from the hotel when they would get later. Good value. Room was nice - lots of space. Stayed there twice recently and both times the front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. Only negative - one of the houses in close proximity has a rooster that started crowing very early in the morning. Ask for a room that does not face the neighborhood to avoid this unwelcome alarm.

Good value for the price. Not really the easiest place to find, although it is right on the I -35 service road.The location is convienent for accessing downtown and UT, but the fenced palm reader property right across the street will give you an indication of the neighborhood.

Biggest complaint is that the room was TOO SMALL.

Clean, well kept.

About 5 to 10 minutes from downtown and in a nice area of town, which was really close to everything. We had a wonderful stay and the employees at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. Beds were comfortable. Will stay here again when we visit Austin!

the hotel room was okay, we stayed in the jr suite and it was not what I expected and the beds and couches were really uncomfortable. The staff was not very nice and we missed the breakfast by 10 minutes and it was already put away. It was a cheap rate, so I guess you get what you pay for.
