The staff were friendly and helpful, even swapped our rooms around due to accidentally being put in a smoking room. Our new room was bigger! Although the bed was 2 singles pushed together - I know a lot of hotels do this - it was really comfortable.The TV was from the 90s :P but we barely watched any as we were so tired! This hotel is generally alright. The location and surroundings are very pleasant if the fabric of the interior is a little tired. However there a couple of points I was not particularly happy with. i) There appaeared to be a water tank - and judging from the noise emanating from it, a pretty big one at that - situated in the roof space above my room […] (226) which during my stay continually filled and emptied. The industrial din created by this filling and , especially, emptying all evening and through the night was infuriating .ii) Ironically my second moan is about the bathroom shower. Despite the tsunami quantities of water draining above me none could find its way into my bathroom shower. The water pressure in the room was so feeble that the water failed to emerge from the shower head even with the tap open to full tilt.Not a drop. I only discovered this in the morning whereupon I had to switch to bath mode. However with the dribble coming out of the taps it took about 25/30 minutes to run a puddle of a bath! Not what you want when you are trying to get out of the room in the morning and not really acceptable in a modern-ish hotel these days. I stayed for 2 nights, left a note at reception on my way out in the morning of day 1, but needless to say nothing was done about either of my complaints. I checked at reception when I returned at the end of day 1 but the receptionist seemed oblivious to most things going on in the hotel, including my plumbing issues. Ďalšie informácie

What a charming location in the Midlands and so historic. Debs was our check in person who turned a mix up into delight. The stafff are excellent and although we didn't stay long we so enjoyed our restful stay overnight

OK i dont normally moan but standing in the freezing cold from 1am to 3am due to a faulty fire alarm isnt amusing, no tea of coffee or free breakfast offered for compensaton. not even a sorry. i felt sorry for the disabled & elderly and pearents with kids.

The exterior of the hotel is very appealing: a country house set in parkland. The interior is in need of substantial refurbishment. The spa costs extra. But the staff are friendly and helpful and the place is homely and warm. The food was no frills but enjoyable. Good value for a modest price. Coach parties appear to be very welcome!

Good value for money with breakfast included. Large comfortable room, good leisure facilities. Friendly, welcoming staff. However, bathroom in need of redecoration as wall paper coming off the walls and there were tiny holes is bed sheets/duvet cover. Despite this, would stay again.

Stayed for one night , won't be going back. Room was extremely dusty, found glass on the floor and building work at 9am on a Saturday inside the hotel made any chance of a lie in impossible. E-mailed hotel so they could improve things but never received a reply. Expected better.

The hotel is in a lovely setting and even if it is a little tired in places it is a pleasant place to be surrounded by lovely gardens. I think it represents good value for what it is.

Set in a very picturesque village, the hotel seems to be a favourite with coach parties - there were large coach parties on both evenings I stayed. The exterior of the hotel promises great things, however the interior is in need of some renovation. If you are looking for modern accommodation, this is not the hotel for you.

What a wonderful building and grounds. This really is a good value break. The food is great, the carvery choice is so wide and the breakfast amazing. Not the most top luxury, but so much more then the price reflects. The room was clean and comfy, and the bar was busy and friendly.

Stayed here on a one night stop over with business and found the hotel in very nice location in a small village with good restaurants (try Simla Indian restaurant Mmmm). Room was small and a bit dated but adequate for our needs and for the price I paid I had no complaints. I have stayed in the Bosworth on 6 separate occasions now. I choose it because it is near to where I am working and my colleagues who have limited lodge allowance stay there. i.e. Its cheap. The village itself is beautiful and the Red Lion pub and Simla Pepper Curry House are well recommended. The hotel is not. Food is a carvery restaurant (and not […] a very good one at that) or bar snacks (ok for one night but limited). Staff can vary from stand-offish to downright rude. Rooms are basic, not well mainitained and not always as clean as they should be. More like visiting your grandparents house in the fifties than country house hotel. They do vary a lot though and the upstairs rooms are much nicer with the suites nicer still. Avoid the groundfloor rooms if you can. The room numbering system and layout make it an adventure trying to find your room at the best of times, whatever you do dont get drunk on your first night or you might never make it back to your room again! Bar is particularly poorly stocked unless you like gassy lager and the bar staff would rather clean glasses and talk among themselves than serve you. Most of the clientelle are of retirement age and on coach trips so the place can be very busy most of the time so you will need to fight for that bar slot or book a table at that carvery. On the plus side the fitness suite is very good and under-used by the hotel guests so you can usually get a good swim or a work out and as I said earlier the surrounding village and countryside is great. Oh and it is cheap! This may sound very negative. I couldn't in all honesty recommend the hotel but that said I shall be returning there again for 2 nights this week! Wish me luck! Ďalšie informácie

Generally the hotel was quite good BUT it really needs a substantial modernisation/overhaul because it looks very tired and in some respects shabby - for example, in the bar one of the armchairs was so worn that the foam was showing through on one arm; not what one might expect for a three star hotel.

This hotel was satisfactory based on the last minute price I paid for the night in comparison to a travel lodge for example but I would not have been happy had I paid more than that. I would go back but only if a bargain price was to be had. Also watch out for hidden extras!

Don't assume that the price includes use of the swimming pool or tennis courts because it doesn't. For the non discounted rates you would assume they did. For value this hotel is difficult to beat. Excellent rooms in a stunning venue. The one thing that struck me was the staff. Although well meaning and friendly they seemed to have absolutely no idea what they were doing. The range of food during the day was also not what you would really expect.

Room clean and beds comfortable, but little attention to basic maintenance - broken lid to pedal bin in bathroom, broken sash cord on windwow, so window would not stay open.
