Excellent value compared to any other Center City hotels. My room was well-appointed, very clean, and offered everything I could possibly need. The rooms in this hotel are very small, but they are clean and the staff is very pleasant and helpful. We had a lumpy rollaway bed the first night, but changed our room the next morning and that was fine. Breakfast choices are limited, but breakfast is free. Internet is free and works fine. This is a simple clean place to stay where I was able to walk all over the city to meet my interests. I was here for three nights/4days. The desk staffers were exceptional in helpfulness and pleasant attitude. The service staff also said hello. Breakfast was more than I expected at such a low hotel rate. The bed sheets smelled like urine and the location is next to a homeless shelter. It is right across the street from the convention center. The service was good. I recommend asking for new bed sheets. The bed sheets were stained and smelled especially the cover.

Good location, pretty much what you would expect for the price, basic city hotel, not many ammenities, but would stay there again.

Super comfortable and clean. Friendly front desk. located right in the heart of Philly's chinatown. My boyfriend and I are New Yorkers so we walked everywhere. Definitely nice walk to the historic sights and to south street.

Manager was extremely friendly and helpful and there was continental breakfast included. Room was just fine for a one night stay. Parking was not provided and I ended up paying $23 to park a block or so away.

It has everything you need and the staff are super friendly. It may not be the most attractive place but it is central and close to transport if you are heading elsewhere. Would go back :)

This place was excellent for a travelodge stay. Comfortable... chill... sky lights in the hall way. Soda and snack machine in basement. Didnt get kicked out for a loud noise level so walls must have really prime padding.

Hotel is just behind the convention center near market east station and a short walk to city hall. The staff was very helpful. Rooms were clean but smelled too strongly of deodorizer.

The map shows several better hotels within a block. Unfortunately one has to stroll a bit longer than would be expected to reach the convention center enterance. The street veiw on Google earth appears OK, but there is a halfway house adjacent and the residents smoke on the street a few steps away.

Clerks were informative. Knew the area and gave us good suggestions. Room was clean and roomy. No complaints. Breakfast was good.

Location was great for touring Chinatown and the historic sites in Philly. Everything was walkable or close to a bus or train station or stop. Room was small with a safe for valuables but no Microwave or Refrig. Travelodge did have a complimentary breakfast of basic bagels and cereal and coffee. No lox unfortunately but while we stayed, doors from the […] street to the lobby were being refitted for more secure entry with our room cards. The staff were friendly, helpful, and competent. That was the main (and probably only) stand-out for this hotel, and it's what makes any stay bearable and comfortable. I did have trouble getting a taxi from there in the morning even though the desk attendant called one. it's a fair walk to downtown, and even the subway is a short hike. The hotel is a bit tired but seemed very clean. management was very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent. I will stay here again.

If you don't arrive in the rain and you don't have any luggage and you want a tiny room with no sink space and a rude clerk and in your own car with parking 3 blocks away, then this is the place for you! Would not stay here again if it were free!

The hotel had very very small rooms and lumpy beds. They appeared to have crammed two beds into a room designed for just one full. The bathroom was also very tiny. It was on the back side of the convention center and not a very good neighborhood. Appeared to be a transient lodging right next door. Would not recommend.

Clean. Friendly staff. Good location. Convenient. Cheapest hotel in the area. Definitely worth the money.

No air conditioning for 3 days, would not provide another room, arrogant and uncaring manager.

This hotel worked out perfectly for me. The hotel is located in Center city right near Chinatown and the Reading Terminal. Parking facilities were near by and safe.The staff was both freindly and helpful. I was able to enjoy a quick stay in Philly at a moderate price. what could be better?

neighborhood is a lil intimidating but basically harmless. Hotel was very clean, staff was friendly and helpful which makes up for the neighborhood. Actually location is quite good b/c you are walking distance from everything. Only real complaint is that there was loud talking at night coming from the front desk through the atrium which was annoying […] cos I'm a light sleeper. Location: Downtown, across the road from the north side of the Philadelphia Convention Center. There is a homeless mission next door but none of the homeless people worried me or gave me any problems. If you want to avoid them then just turn right as you leave the hotel. There is a small 24 hour convenience store next door to the hotel. Market East […] station is 10 minutes walk away. Service: Very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they never replied to my e-mail (requesting not to get a first floor room). Room: I was given the only available room in the hotel - room 109. This is a room on the first floor right at the back which is meant for disabled people. It was bigger than the other rooms and has a window that faces outwards (unlike the other rooms). The window faces on to an alley but it was perfectly quiet. I could hear everything in the corridor outside my door but was able to sleep without any problems. Unbelievably, the first floor rooms are in the lobby! The higher numbered rooms (e.g. 107-109) are not as bad as the lower numbers - the lower numbered rooms are right next to the elevator and reception desk. If possible, I would avoid the first floor altogether. The room was very clean. It had a tea/coffee machine, hair dryer, safe, TV with cable including HBO. Easy to borrow an iron and ironing board from reception. Food: Complimentary breakfast includes cereals (raisin bran, frosted flakes, oatmeal), bagels with jams/cream cheese/butter, muffins, yoghurt, tea/coffee/orange juice/apple juice from 6am to 10am. Other: They demand $50 (cash or they charge it to your credit card) as a deposit when you check in. Check out at 11am. Overall, this hotel was much better than I was expecting from the previous reviews. I would happily stay here again provided I can ensure that I do not get a low numbered first floor room in the lobby. Ďalšie informácie

If your looking for a so-so place to stay it is just that. A bed, hard, and a shower. Few draw backs. There is NO PARKING that's a huge hassle! Cost $20 a day in a non-secured lot! Its right next door to a "tenant house" so its very shady! Very loud street all night long and you hear all the noise no matter where your at. As far "breakfast" what a joke. […] Down in the basement is 2 cereal choice, a plain bagel, or a banana. Coffee and orange juice. Location is about 8 blocks from dontown Philly and 2 from Reading Station, so that is the only good partof this place. I was looking for a cheap and safe place to stay in Philly and this hotel was perfect. It had a bed, a tv, a clean bathroom and no frills! I didn't spend anytime at the hotel anyway because the staff gave me great rec's on where to find the best philly cheesesteak and beer and they were right on with their rec's! I was looking for affordable accomodations while I attended a conference, and the Travelodge was fine for that, but if you're a person who needs amenities--refrigerator, full-length mirror, iron--this is not the place for you. Everything was comfortable and clean, although breakfast is served in the basement, which is a little creepy.
