Red Lion Hotel Farmington - Farmington

Room and hotel for that matter smelled like an ash tray, the toilet handle was broken and I could hear every room through my walls...This was the type of hotel I expect from a $50/night hotel, not the Red Lion

It was a very bad experience for that price I would paid extra to stay somewhere else. The roof was coming down when in the shower fr the room above. Customer service was very poor. Cable did not work due to loose wiring and remotes didn't work. Overall it was a very bad experience.

during my breakfast an individual did not want to help native americans, just serving anglos. Provided meat only to anglos. Had to change rooms because room was very smoky in non-smoking room.

I would not stay at this hotel again. The hotel smelled of smoke, the walls in my room were dirty, the tub did not drain, the television was snowy, overall it was of low quaility.

Hotel is very clean..room was very spacious! Impressive! Traveling in a large Motorcycle group...a few issues with dinner, resolved very nicely bby management! All happy! Would recommend to friends, and would definitely stay again! Very accomodating staff, and overseen by very efficient Manager! Thank you all! Fred and Judy

An older hotel that has been renovated and is continuing to be renovated. Our experience was satisfactory. The breakfast included in the room cost included individually cooked eggs as well as the usual Buffett.

I was misled about hotel rates in this area and steered toward a suffering hotel that was unwilling to credit day for day,on the back end, all the while they were slow.

We stayed in Farmington for a week for work. The only reason this hotel is still in business is they are the only place to eat and get a drink after work. The service in the bar and restaurant are both extremely poor. They will overcharge you if you don't ask for a breakdown of your bill. Don't stay or eat here if you have other options.

The Red Lion in Farmington was very comfortable, the rooms are large with a lot of space to relax. Red Lion had just taken over the hotel and they are working on it to make it more comfortable. The rooms were clean and comfortale. We would stay there again.

SURPRISED (OR ELSE I FORGOT) THAT THE ROOM WOULD BE A SUITE.....NICE TO HAVE A "LIVING ROOM" AFTER ALL THE ONE-ROOMS THIS WEEK. BUT.....THE ROOM TV'S DIDN'T HAVE THE CHANNELS FOR THE BASEBALL PLAY-OFFS AND WE HAD TO GO DOWN TO THE SPORTS BAR AT THE HOTEL.....NOT THE GREATEST, BUT GLAD IT WAS THERE!!

The staff was rude and unaccomidating. The toilet leaked and ran all night, the a/c unit was incredibly loud and when we told the front desk they shrugged their shoulders!

After being turned away from the hotel in Durango where we had a reservation (they take dogs, just not all dogs...grrr), we were stuck. All other area hotels were booked. A call to Hotels.com and some time with the very helpful Lucas found us this property, about an hour away. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room was a suite (think they all […] are), with separate sitting area, fridge and micro (no stove). It was clean and spacious. The hotel took our dog, no restrictions, for a $20 pet fee. The restaurant at the hotel was actually pretty good, which was a nice surprise after a long day of travel. There is a pool there, which seemed nice. Easy access to the highway, although a bit far from some restaurants but not prohibitively so. They did include a free breakfast, but that only ran from 6 - 9 am, and we didn't get up early enough. Oh well. The only 'issue' with the hotel is the name - apparently it's been several different hotels. Some things say Best Western, some say Farmington Inn and Suites, and some - like the sign in the parking lot - just says "Inn and Suites". A little confusing, but not a big deal. Ďalšie informácie

Old, Smelly, and not clean in rooms...

Check in gal very perfunctory - couldn't raise a smile. Given breakfast voucher but she did not draw attention to fact it had a time limit. Arrived for breakfast 10 minutes past 9 and they would not accept voucher. Manager just said 'sorry'. Arrived from different time zone so were one hour behind.

The staff were very nice and accomodating and made up for the condition of the hotel. We had to switch rooms as our air conditioner worked one night but not the next day. Lots of things just seemed to be broken or in some state of repair. The walls are not very thick and you can hear any little noise from the hallways and next door. When we arrived at the desk to check in the clerk was on the phone. It quickly became clear she was not talking with a customer. This went on for about 10 minutes while we stood there, exhausted and increasingly angry. When she got off the phone she made a comment about how "isn't it great when a former employee calls to catch up?" The room was hot when we arrived, so I adjusted the thermostat. When things didn't improve, I called the front desk. The same girl from before answered and sounded irritated, but said she'd send someone up. We waited for more than an hour, slowly cooking, until finally someone came. The man quickly checked the problem and said we would have to change rooms. He was extremely helpful. He made sure we were issued a new room which was just down the hall. He helped us move all of our things, made sure the room was cool, then went to the front desk to bring back our new key cards. He is the only reason why I gave this hotel any kind of rating at all. When I called to confirm reservation, clerk didn't bother to tell me that the best western sign was covered in plastic because they were changing their name--I circled the area for about 10 minutes trying to find it. Called for a wake up call which came 15 minutes late. The next night I asked for a wake up call to come on time--clerk told me some story […] about the phones being set 15 minutes early---never apologized. Pretty rooms but mediocre service... We were thrilled with the size of the room, the amenities and the good restaurant on site. The hotel is very clean, and the staff is professional and friendly. It has the feel of a more expensive hotel. I will definitely stay there again when I am in Farmington!

This hotel is an older facility. The rooms were comfortable. BLAH breakfast buffet, it really needs to be spruced up and have more of a variety. The pool and exercise area needs water and towels.

the room wasn't clean when we checked in, there were dirty towls on the floor baskets were full of garbage and the swimming pool was unavailable for the whole weekend. No soap or shampoo in the room, we had to go searching for it and the ice machine was inoperable. The whole experience was very unpleasant. hotel room was dark and musty but the bed was comfortable and everything worked. I did not get to go swimming but a number of people sounded as if they were having a grand time. Breakfast was decent.

This hotel feels trapped in the 70s. In addition, the pool pump wasn't working, and the air smelled stale. On the plus side, the workers were friendly and the bed was comfortable. Best of all was super speedy free internet service.

General lack of security. Homeless and druggies have free access to hotel. Front desk and restaurant understaffed.

I will never stay here again. The staff was not very friendly, the king suite I had booked was not available and I got std room, the door closest to the parking was blocked and I had a long walk to get to the room. Stayed for the night with family. pleasantly surprised by the restaurant. Food OK, service BAD. Hotel rooms need a new look. Overall not too bad.

We got a great deal on a suite for booking last minute, and it was pretty comfortable. However, we were disappointed by the fact that nothing was really new or in perfect working condition. The mattress was awful -- you could feel the springs, and we tossed and turned all night. The bathroom sink leaked, and the shower was a little frustrating because […] we couldn't direct all of the water to the head and not the faucet -- the nob thing was broken. The hallways were pretty rough looking too -- really low ceilings and panels hanging in some places. This could be such a nice hotel if they just upgraded/renovated it. On the bright side, the rooms are very sound proofed; we didn't hear any loud TVs in the next room, and that's something that always annoys me. We got a free breakfast coupon to the lovely little restaurant, and the breakfast was great, lots of variety. There's a nice indoor pool, too. And the people at the front desk were fairly helpful. They let us check out at noon instead of 11 and didn't give us any fuss about it. All in all, I enjoyed our stay, but I definitely wouldn't pay the regular rate for a room here. Ďalšie informácie

I arranged days in advance with the staff to host a dinner for some friends. It was a complete disaster. To start with the room we had was uncomfortably hot. The service was absolutely dreadful....one server for almost thirty people. Drink orders took forever. They actually ran out of salad plates at the salad bar and we were eating our salad off of […] coffee saucers...that was until they ran out of salad. Dinner took forever and the food was mediocre at best. Peoples side dish choices were substituted without even consulting them. Check in took a long time but they were busy. The lobby and hallways all smelled like a smoking area. Our room was very outdated in decor and the sink was broken. The bed was the most uncomfortable I've had in a hotel. I forgot my phone charger at the hotel and immediately called. After a 30 minute wait they did have it and said would mail it to me. […] I am still waiting. I called several times--never being able to get through to the front desk but eventually I did and was promised again it would be sent to me. I am still waiting. I do not reccommend this hotel. The hotel was ok, but they were severly understaffed for the events for the weekend. Had some issues with air conditioning that was never addressed. Staff complained about having to work mandated overtime. In a good location and was clean.

Was met with attitude at desk when I asked for the hotels.com rate, and had to book online from my laptop in the lobby. Fine. Went to check in with my confirmation email, but it wasn't in their system yet. Fine: we went and got good Mexican food across the street while we waited. Finally checked in and the key machine was broken, so whenever we left […] the room, staff had to come with us to let us back in. The room itself was ok. Windows looked out on covered courtyard/pool and didn't open, so the room was stuffy. Bar downstairs seemed to be a local hot spot. I saved $30 over rack rate with Hotels.com. The BW has a very nice pool & jacuzzi, and a full brkft, not just continental.

The room we stay in the refrigerator wasn't working, TV channel wasn't available, and FREE breakfast, which said we could have it to go, we got 3 bags to go with only 3 sweet items, my daughter is a diabete. (We had book for 2 adult/2 children) I had ask the clerk for an adjustment on my bill, which she couldn't help me, since I had book on line. Therefore […] I am asking for adjustment on my bill. The rooms are old! This Best Western needs to be renovated very badly! The A/C sounds so loud it sounds like a train is running through the room! The sink and tub had mold on it! The doors do not shut when you walk in like most hotels, you had to make sure the door shut behind you everytime.
