For the price compared to all the motels in area, was well worth the value for what we paid for. We read reviews of one or two saying they didn't feel safe or bad neighborhood. How could that be, with several other motels boardering the property. It was safe area, a bit of a walk to Universal gates, but can be done. Restuarants are nearby but about […] a 1/4 mile or a bit farther. Motel does show some age and they need to trim palms around the exterior lighting, that would improve visability / lighting and maybe feel even more safer in parking lot. Very conveniently located but not the cleanest

The bathroom needed a good cleaning around the baseboards. Also the air conditioner vents had major dust which prevented good air flow. The location was excellent as was the price, so I could deal with these issues as we weren't in the room that much anyway.

We went off season so we only paid like $55 a night. The hotel is very convenient (you could walk to Universal) and there are several places to eat within walking distance. The hotel itself is in need of a little updating and overall just better cleaning!!! Our room was "okay".....the microwave and fridge worked great and were very convenient. The bathroom […] was just kind of dirty and needed a deep cleaning so did the elevator, and the hallways were really dirty as well. Definitely not somewhere to stay if you're spending a lot of time in the rooms - not up to date TVs (though plenty of channels), small, minimally furnished and the bathrooms are meh - but all very clean, and well maintained, and staff was polite. Location was very convenient to Universal Studios. Staff was very helpful and knowledgable. We were able to pring boarding passes at nearby motel. Motel needs further renovation...light switch for the room didn't work; bathroom tiles were broken.

Very convenient to Universal. However, the non-smoking room smelled like smoke, and windows could not be opened.

it was very clean - bed very comfy - breakfast was ok - couldhave been a little better like some others - had to go down two floors for ice - clerk very nice and helpful - no outside food real close - overall we 5 would stay there again - maybe next year

Very close to Universal Studios. Rates are quite reasonable, rooms are clean, comfortable and come with a small 'fridge and microwave. Washers and dryers are available on each floor. This place had a great location....BUT no heated pool, no hot water for showers/baths, rooms were ok but had a odor. Breakfast was good but very busy...they offered a free shuttle to universal but it departed an hour after the parks opened so we ended up driving and paying for parking instead. We very much enjoyed our stay at Baymont. It was extremely close to Universal Studios. Our first morning, there was no hot water in our room, but we told the front desk on our way out & it was repaired by the time we returned back to the hotel. My stay here was excellent. The Shuttle to Universal was on time and the driver was too courteous to ask the people waiting in bus depot whether they are waiting for his one. The breakfast was good and the maid was keep on refilling each and every item. Room was clean, in charge manager was so courteous. The hotel overall was ok. The room was not very clean. We were across the street from Universal and very close to the interstate. The breakfast was the norm, waffles, ceral, fruit, and toast. Not sure I would stay here if I had small children due to the uncleaniness of the room.

After reading many negative reviews I wasn't expecting much from the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were spacious with a fridge and microwave. The towels were nice. The beds were comfy. Very close to universal. The shuttles were very convenient. Would highly recommend.

Excellent employes but hotel is old. Our bathroom sink clogged up and they took our ice container and put it under the sink to collect the leaking water from the pipes. It smelled horrible. We had to dump the water twice in one night to keep it from overflowing. But it was a cheap room so i guess we got what we paid for.
