Arrived around 3pm and had to wait approx 15 mins to check in. No problems, Friendliness 5/10. On entering the very small Double room we noted the TV was on a stand on the floor squinted at a bizarre angle and barely viewable from the fairly smallish double bed. The picture on the TV was very fuzzy but we managed to play around with the aerial socket […] and fixed this ourselves. The bathroom hada great rain shower head but also plenty of mould around the ceiling and a chrome towel radiator hanging out of the wall and leaning at approx 45 degrees. Whilst the bedding and the room in general felt clean enough the condition of the rotting window frames and mouldy bathroom gave an overall impression of uncleanliness. Room 2/10 Location was good smack in the middle of town and great for shopping, eating and drinking. Location 8/10 Breakfast was buffet style and pretty run of the mill. no problems with this and a decent variety of edible food. Breakfast 5/10 Would we go back? unfortunately no. Ďalšie informácie

Comfortable, friendly, good early breakfast for the marathon runners, and an easy walk to the start. A bit noisy outside (but it was Saturday night).

room was not ready ... made me wai till exact time for check in.... gave me key... went to room... the cleaning had not even started... cleaning girl was very nice and was pulled in many directions by disorganized management.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. There was one young lady that handled the desk. She had short blond hair. She seemed very unfriendly with us and answered questions blunt and too the point. She didn't make us feel welcome at all. She wasn't friendly at all. The other staff were very helpful and the other people at the desk were okay. Just this one […] lady did not treat us well. It was almost as if we were bothering her to ask questions. Other than this one person we had a wonderful time. I stayed at the Royal Highlands for three days and would highly recommend it to anyone! Everyone was very kind and helpful ... the hotel is very clean and the room was enormous (especially by UK standards)! The shower was hot with great water pressure. The hotel was in a central location, probably about 20 feet from the train station in the center-of-town […] shopping area - but it was still very easy to get to the highway to get out of Inverness by road as well. I have stayed at this hotel before and hoped that this timeit would have improved - unfortunately not. - the hotel was very busy due to a very well publicised event - unfortnately the management did not seem to have catered for this. My party booked a meal - the booking was not written down so they were not ready for us - we were given a coffee table […] in the lounge but it took an hour to get our food, - when it came it was well cooked and presented however it held us up from attending the event we were in Inverness for. At the bar only one barman as on duty - tryng to serve a very busy bar and deal with table service as well. The room was comfortable - however next morning breakfast was another disaster Again no preparation for the number of people requiring breakfast - there were long queues for the hot buffet which was only refilled a few items at a time - although there were a number of staff around the most disapointing fact was that no member of the management team was prepared to explain to their customers what the problems were. Throughout my stay I got the impression that the mangement did not care - unfortunately this is an impression I got during my last stay. Kudos to the hotel for having a room that caters to the disabled but they should not let out such rooms to other guests. We were very uncomfortable staying in the room assigned for the first night as it was equipped with facilities meant for the disabled e.g. the wheelchair in the bathroom was very eerie. We managed to get it changed only the 2nd night […] as they were running full for the first night. We felt they should have asked us first instead of assigning us such a room for the first night. Location of the hotel is fantastic - very convenient. Just next to the train station, bus station and shopping centre. The restaurant at the hotel serves very good food - highly recommended to try. Nice enough hotel for the price. Stayed for 2 weeks whilst working in Inverness. First week I had a room when the shower was far too hot. The knob to make the shower cooler got stuck up to a certain point, which meant that you couldn't make the shower any colder. I had to just take a bath every day instead. Free internet is only available in the reception […] area. It would be nice to have it available in your room, so you can Skype your family and listen to internet radio on your laptop. The Royal Highland is easy to get to by bus or train. It is in the centre of time but nearby the river Ness and convenient for exploring The Great Glen. Our room was very comfortable and the reception staff excellent Breakfast was as good as in any hotel we've stayed in. Not a bad hotel, just dated, in need of some updates. Must have been a grand lady back in the day. Breakfast buff. was just average, staff not very attentive, wouldn't eat there again unless included with hotel stay. This is the smallest, most expensive one nights accomodation we have had in the 3 weeks we have spent in the UK. The room was extremely small with part of the ceiling sloping away. The bathroom was in similar proportin to the bedroom, small!. The wi-fi signal didn't work and when I contacted the reception, I was told that our floor didn'thave good reception […] and that I would be better off coming to the ground floor reception area ad using it there. The hotel is literally right there when you exit the train station. And it is only a block from the nightlife and restaurant areas. It's within walking distance to lots of the sites in Inverness and the bus station (in case you go on a Loch Ness Tour). We didnt enjoy our stay at all. The place is well past its prime and is in dire need of some maintainance. Internet was non existant as was the service generally - Were some nice staff so I cant group them all together

Good size rooms, excellent shower, excellent central location. Good breakfast buffet - no complaints.

Excelente relación calidad - precio. Muy buena atención, habitaciones limpias y muy buena ubicación. El único detalle a mejorar es la conexión a internet (es necesario pedir que reseten el router habitualmente) En general superó nuestras expectativas.

très veillot , meriterait serieuse renovation. odeur de tabac froid ds la chambre alors que j avai reservé une chambre non fumeur.. Mais pour le prix on pouvait pas sattendre a du grand luxe. bien situé en plein centre

Grundsätzlich absolut empfehlenswert. Aber Achtung: bei der Buchung darauf bestehen, das das Zimmer ohne Bahnanschluss sein soll. Leider ist dies bei Zimmer 121 nicht so; aus der Zimmertür und dann 2 Meter nach links und schon steht man nahezu auf dem Bahnsteig.

Ett mycket vackert hotell med trevlig personal och bästa läget om man kommer med tåg eller vill bo centralt. Lite minus med mögellukt i vissa områden.

Ett bra klassiskt hotell alldeles vid stationen i Inverness. Enkla men bra rum, lite slitet men mysigt, trevlig personal och nära till allt.

En av de ting vi husker fra turen til Skottland var mangelen på imøtekommenhet og smil fra jenta i resepsjonen. Ellers var hotellet koselig og hadde mye gammeldags atmosfære.

Godt hotel til prisen, med traditionel engelsk morgenmad. OK comfort på værelser.

Perfekt centralt läge. Anrikt och mysigt hotel med tradition och brittisk känsla. Väldigt stora dubbelrum med allt man behöver. Bra service och frukost.

Zimmer: Mein Freund und ich haben eine Nacht in diesem Hotel übernachtet. Es hat uns gut gefallen, das Zimmer war groß, bat viel Stauraum (Kommoden, Nachttische, Schrank) und Platz zum gemütlichen Sitzen. Es gab einen Fernseher, einen Föhn und ein Bügelbrett. Das Bett war riesig. An unserem Raum 118 störte uns, dass er direkt neben dem Küchengenerator […] lag und es tagsüber bis etwa 22 Uhr abends sehr stark brummte , sodass man nicht wirklich im Zimmer sitzen konnte. Bad: Das Bad war behindertengerecht eingerichtet, sprich sehr geräumig und große ebenerdige Dusche zum "reinfahren". Lage: Das Hotel liegt im gleichen Gebäude wie der Bahnhof, was jedoch in keinster Weise stört, da der Bahnhof ein Sackbahnhof ist und die Züge langsam rein und rausfahren, sodass man sie nicht gehört hat, selbst mit Zimmerblick auf den Bahnhof. Des Weiteren liegt das Hotel direkt in der City, man kann abends gut rausgehen und die Bars abklappern oder Nachmittags bequem shoppen gehen, ohne große Strecken zurücklegen zu müssen. Service: Die Frau an der Rezeption schien schwer beschäftigt, wodurch der Freundlichkeitsfaktor nicht besonders hoch war, jedoch ok. Man kann bei Bedarf auf dem Zimmer frühstücken und es gibt einen Nachtportier, bei dem man auch Nachts Sandwiches bestellen kann. Frühstück: Es gab ein großes Buffet mit diversen Cerealien, Wurst, Käse, diversen Aufstrichen, Toast, englisches Frühstück, diverse Säfte, frisches Obst, Kaffee und Tee etc. also sehr reichhaltig. The hotel is old, tired and dirty. The service was poor to good depending on who you met. The breakfast was the typical British breakfast with no healthy options. Overall a disappointing stay.

Zimmer sind sauber, Service ist OK, Freundliche Mitarbeiter, Organisation des Früstück manchmal etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, nur eine Servicekraft bringt Kaffee und Toast an den Tisch, das kann dauern, Angebot aber reichhaltig
