Cypress Hotel, a Kimpton Hotel - Cupertino

A teenage vandal shot off a fire extinguisher on many of the cars in the parking lot overnight. Mine was hit. The hotel staffed the lot to inform clients, and gave a discount for the inconvenience. Will gladly go back!

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff was very courteous, parking was very convenient (and free) and the room was nice.

The service was amazing. They met every request; an allergy free room, a top room, free food and wine, and even honored a past promotion. The room itself was ok. Easy parking, close to restaurants and very quiet. Superb location in the heart of Silicon Valley!

Great service. It was my wife's birthday and they sent up complimentary wine, helped us get car service and checked in on us from time to time. Great service, great people!

Very nice hotel. I have no pet but this hotel is dog friendly and all were very well behaved. The wine reception was nice too. I will stay again when I come back to visit family in the area again.

This hotel is an absolute must. I have visited the Sunnyvale/Cupertino area for years, trying to find a nice place to travel with my dogs. The Cypress Hotel is gorgeous, with luxury amenities and modern decor, no-hassle check-in, and absolutely no pet deposit for my two Poms. I highly recommend staying with them.

A lovely,elegant,relaxing atmosphere with all the amenities to work and play.

Definitely worthy of the four diamond rating. Every aspect of the hotel: room, bathroom, lobby, restaurant, parking garage - outstanding. I was amazingly surprised for my first experience with this hotel. Next time I am in the area you can guarantee I will be back. All of the staff were friendly and professional.

Hotel was very nice. Nicely decorated clean comfy rooms. No coffee maker in our rooom or a closet to hang clothes. Didn't really get that. Called ahead before leaving Monterey for early check in at noon instead of 3;00 Was told no problem and then when we got there at 12:30 was told we had to wait until 2:00. We stayed here over Labor Day weekend. After having a not so wonderful day in Santa Cruz due to the weather, we got the hotel and the front desk person was extremely friendly and even asked our dogs name. They even had water dishes outside the check-in doors. My dog loved the room, normally she won't eat when she is in a strange place, but she was playful […] and ate like normal. There were nice grass areas to take her out too and they even offered a plastic bag if I needed one. The hotel itself was lavish and amazing. We will definitely be staying there again. Absolutely wonderful stay at the Cypress. Staff was great and always wanting to help (except for maybe one female counter attendant). The rooms were comfortable and clean (nothing over the top fancy), and it was nice having the restaurant there. The wine tasting, and coffee/lemonade bar was a nice teat. Some minor flaws...you have to have an attendant […] walk you to the pool (off site). Seems like there would be an easy solution of checking out the card key. Service at the restaurant was very slow (but food was pretty good). Outside seating area (fire needs to be cleaned more often. Overall, a great place to stay. Had a fantastic time at the hotel. Stayed here after our wedding for two nights. The lady at the front desk upgraded us to a nicer room. The room service and maintenance was super quick and friendly. Couldn't recommend this place more!

My husband and I stayed here after seeing a concert at the Mountain Winery. It was close to the venue (about 10 minute drive). The hotel was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. Overall a very nice stay.

The only problem with this hotel was trying to find it. You have to enter from De Anza Blvd not Stevens Creek Blvd. The hotel was very clean and staff was most professional and helpful. The room was very clean and it was one the most comfortable hotel bed ever. Its location was fantastic. The following morning I walked across the street to Noah's Bagels […] there was also a Starbuck's right next to that. I looked out the window and saw a neighboring office building right next door but there was no noise from it. The price of this hotel for what you got was unheard of this section of the state. WOW - What a find! Access between parking garage and hotel was a bit confusing, but we arrived late at night after a day of hiking through the redwoods and we were exhausted. On my way back to our car, I encountered another person wandering around the halls trying to get to the parking garage so I felt better that I was not the only one. That being […] said, my son walked into the room and expressed his disappointment at the fact that this was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at and this was the hotel that we would have the least amount of time in. When your son takes notice of a hotel room - well what more is there to say. Plenty of places within walking distance to eat, purchase coffee, etc and feel quite safe doing so. You have to walk through the designated smoking area to get to the lobby. Disgusting smell. The bed was uncomfortable.

This hotel's boutique design coupled with extraordinary service has made me a Kimpton fan. We got free wine tasting, complimentary leopard robes, flat screen TV, stocked fridge/mini bar, free wifi and free parking. The amenities were great for the price we got on hotels.com. We went for happy hour at the restaurant and got a great deal - 3 appetizers […] and 2 drinks for about $35. I would caution against ordering late night room service. The food we got was sub-par. We were visiting family and needed a clean room and comfortable bed to rest from our travels. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and made our stay very pleasant. There are a lot of local restaurants nearby in all price ranges. The hotel is not far from expressways so traveling to and from was made easy. My friend and I went to a business convention in San Jose,Ca. I spent all day researching locals and prices of hotels in the area prior to our trip.The Cypress in Cupertino is what I chose because of its beauty and affordability. The rooms are gorgeous and bathrooms immaculate(Aveda products yummy). Coffee in the morning in the lobby..best ive tasted. Reception at arrival, unparalleled. I loved that this is a dog friendly hotel..yet you'd never know aside from seeing owners with leashes walking outside near the fountain.Underground parking free,which isnt the case with other hotels. Although we didnt have a chance to eat in restaurant, we had a delicious BBQ just outside at the Armadillo spot. My friend is a smoker and all he had to do was go outside near the fountain to do so..not a big deal. I loved that they have a free wine reception in the evening all though we didnt take advantage. We slept well..bed and linens comfortable. The ONLY downfall was that i booked this hotel thinking i would get the spa tub pictured on the site. Nonetheless, I wouldnt want to stay anywhere else. My boyfriend & I decided to stay here for the weekend when visiting his relatives in a neighboring city. Granted, it was a weekend & there was wedding there on saturday (we saw part of the bridal party & heard the mariachi band), the concierge decided to put 26-year-old able-bodied couple in the handicap room. At first we didn't really notice. A couple […] extra handles & railings, but nothing major. We more so noticed that there was no closet in our room. I do not know if this is the case for all the rooms, but don't expect to hang anything if so. Luckily, those extra handrails came in handy. As usual you can expect the great Kimpton service and accommodations, but the location of this hotel is not desirable for a personal/family visit.

Had all the amenities. Courteous and friendly personnel. Very nice large, clean room. NIce TV. Free WiFi. Charged for Business Center computers but not for printing boarding passes and not for using your own laptop in room. Very convenient parking. Not far from the highway, making travel convenient. Didn't partake in any of the restaurants so can't […] review food. Fairly good lighting and good mirrors available. Bed comfortable. Free Wine was mediocre but nice - no crackers with it. My family stays at the Cypress frequently when visiting family in the area - we've tried many other hotels, and the Cypress is far above the competition.

We are frequent stayers here and love the hotel and the restaurant, Park Place. Everyone is always pleasant and efficient, and the free wine bar each evening is a bonus!

Hidden in plain sight, Cypress offers a world of fantasy away from the mundane drone of the modern work place. I'm able to check my office, home, daily troubles at the doors, and check into a complete escape...well, until check out obviously. Comfortable, clean and convenien nighborhood.

The female reception on 4/23 afternoon was very helpful.friendly and polite, but the female reception on 4/24 morning was rude and impolite. The ventilation in bath was too weak .

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It's lovely, the rooms are nice, beds very comfy, the restaurant and bar is great, and I love that they are environmentally friendly. It's a great location--near a popular intersection--yet you don't hear any noise at all and there's a lovely courtyard with a fountain that's quiet and charming.

We have stayed there before and will definately stay again. Had a class in Oakland over the weekend but chose to stay at the Cypress in cupertino because the rooms are so nice and quiet. They also had free parking which a lot of hotels charge for in the Bay area. Two drawbacks are that you have to go to the lobby to get coffee and the down pillows are […] way to soft. You can request foam pillows though. We ate dinner both nights at the Armadillo BBQ that is right outside the hotel. They had excellent ribs and salads. Not really any complaints at all. Our recent Friday night stay was perfect, except that there is no coffee maker in the room. There is complimentary coffee in the lobby and a Starbucks across the street - but both of those options require that you get dressed first.
