We selected this location because of its price and proximity to downtown. As desired, we were able to get to downtown Nashville in just a few minutes and we were close to major destinations like the Grand Ole Opry. However, the hotel ownership, Mr. Patel, who was running the front desk was very rude to me as I checked in. He simply handed me a card […] to fill-out information and slid me a key, not providing any information unless explicitly requested and pressed for details. The room we first checked into was supposed to be non-smoking, but the room was very smoky--the walls smelled saturated with it. When I requested another room, I was denied my request. When my husband called back, Mr. Patel was courteous and eager to fulfill his request, which does suggest some sexism on the part of the management. The beds were hard and the sheets were itchy.
