Pictures are deceiving the pool is a lot smaller than it looks & it is only 3ft deep on one end & 4ft on the other the rooms are small & the carpet is ok do not recommend bare feet or sock feet defiantly need shoes or slippers the day time desk lady is very nice & so are the housekeeping staff overall not a bad place just not as big as we thought.

Not bad for the rate, room was clean, decor modern, no bed bugs or scary people. Staff was friendly & accomodating. Orange juice with continental breakfast was of good quality which is surprising anywhere. Only issue for me was the comfort of the bed. TERRIBLE. Super firm, was like sleeping on concrete. Some people like a super firm bed but apparently […] not me! Again was clean, no bed bugs, I could tell this was actually a newer mattress, just way too firm for my liking. We were in Rm 131 and there was a child above us that was jumping and running untill 11PM nightly. We complained every night and was told that the room above us was only occupied by one female adult. Breakfast was a little bit of a let down. Pool went from 3 to 4 feet deep and carpets needed overhauling, but all was pretty good for the price we got.

Lumpy, old bed...we switched time zones but our cell phones for some reason didn't update. Instead of a courtesy phone call, "house keeping" banged on our door at check-out time. We felt it could have been handled in a more professional manner. Will not stay here again. *Note: this is my FIRST negative experience with a Super 8 hotel.

We stayed one night at the Super 8 in Shepherdsville KY. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool-which, although small, was clean and the water heated. This hotel is advertised (and sign posted on-site) as a non-smoking facility. I personally thought the entire place smelled like an ashtray. Also, the bathroom vanity was so tiny (only 2-3 inches of counter space to set things on) and dim, I had to stand by the window to see myself. The towels were thin, small, rough & worn out. The staff was very unfriendly and not very responsive to room maintenance issues. Also, beware of the over-chlorinated pool. Just for reference, Shepardsville is not especially close to Louisville and restaurant choices nearby Shepardsville are limited.

For the price, this is a very nice hotel! The room was clean enough, relatively spacious, and included a desk, easy chair, microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator. Conveniently located with many restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Very reasonable rate. Two electrical outlets in room were not working, bathroom door was difficult to close and stuck tight when you attempted to reopen it. Very few towels in room and the beds make a strange squeak sound when sat on/rolled over on. Overall it was good, this was a more updated Super 8 so the rooms were very nice. It was in a good location, surrounded by restaurants and fast food. It was close to Louisville which is where we were visiting and we did not find the drive very long at all, traffic is not bad. The swimming pool was a disapointment. The clorine was so bad that my kids eyes were still burning the next day. They were only able to swim for anout 15 mins and had to get out because their eyes were burning so bad. We had to get towels from the front desk and she only wanted to give us 2 towels for 4 people and the towels were just bigger than hand […] towels. The pool it self was very small and had anyone else been in there we wouldnt have been able to swim at all. The SUPER STAR breakfast was cereal and waffles when the waffle machine wasnt clogged up. The small tray of donuts were gone before we got down there at 7am. The only really bad thing was the outside noise. Hotel sits very close to highway and other businesses, so it is very noisey throughout the entire night. Just bring earplugs.

I usually stay at the Hampton Inn but decided to branch out and try something else (cheaper). I tried Super 8 and was happy with the quality and serivce for the price. Nice room, good bed, hot water, and good breakfast. Thankfully, I was very happy with Super 8 and I will stay with them again.

We stayed here on our way to Nashville. The room was very musty. Trash mann showed up at 2:00am to empty 3 receptacles outside the window. That process took a half an hour. Street cleaners began cleaning at 5:00am, and the trains started around 7:00am. Not much insulation between you and the outside world. We got up the next morning to take a shower […] and get out by 11:00am. Went to the shower and the handle fell off in the tub. We phoned the office and an Indian lady came up and asked my husband if he pulled it too hard, then proceeded to tell him to turn it. My husband told her she was welcome to try it herself. She then said she would call a plumber. When my husband asked how long it would be, she walked away. Finally a man at the front desk told her he would give us another room to take a shower. We reloaded our suitcases and had to walk down the hall to another room. Finally after getting ready, I was zipping up the suitcase and my husband went to check out. At 11:05am we were standing at the door to leave and the same Indian lady was knocking to see if we were ready to leave. That was one of the rudest situations I have ever been placed in. The customer service was wonderful they made us feel welcome. Their free breakfast included making your own waffles and it was awesome. The beds need replacing ours seem to sink in the middle but it was good and cheap. Our trip was actually to see my sons graduation from basic training in Fort Knox. On the way over there it was a scenic route.

We enjoyed this hotel very much. The staff was always friendly. Everything was clean and in good shape, looked like maybe it just had some fresh updates in places. The pool is smaller than it appears in the picture but there were never very many people in it. And it was always clean and very warm. We also enjoyed the surrounding area had many conviences. […] Within walking distance were several restruants of all varities, grocery store, gas. station and several other things. Nice hotel, very clean, large rooms and priced right. Although I was disappointed with the size of the pool, very small, no hot tub, but close to louisville, and close to some very nice resturaunts and shopping. Would recommend this hotel to others.
