Hampton Inn Ft. Lauderdale was clean, incredibly comfortable, convenient & reasonably priced. Staff were informed & courteous, breakfast was served in a large comfy space & transportation to & from the airport was a breeze. I'd do it again in a heartbeat! "Great hotel for those cruising."
The hotel is not upscale but well worth the money paid. Service was wonderful and the hotel provides free shuttle service to and from airport & cruise port. I would definitely stay again if we were leaving from Ft. Lauderdale.

Booked the Hampton Inn with some reservation, knowing that reviews were not all favorable. We were delighted with the hotel, especially the friendly staff. We were picked up at the airport by the hotel van, complete with pink flamingos on the roof, a bit corny but fun. The van diver will take you to a restuarant within a couple of miles of the hotel […] at no charge. The small waterfront eartery he suggested was wonderful. The front desk and breakfast room personnel where great! Since most of the clients were cruise passengers, the lobby was full of friendly and fun people visiting with each other while we waited our turn to be shuttled to our ship. "Hotel in Fort Lauderdale"
The hotels in this area are a little pricey. I stayed in Tampa same time last year and paid half the price at a much nicer hotel. Not sure why Fort Lauderdale hotels cost so much more than Tampa hotels.

I booked 3 rooms for 9 people for the night before our family's cruise. The complimentary hotel shuttle picked us up at the airport within minutes of calling! The only complaint that I had was that the hotel shuttle that was to take us over to the ship the next day was running several hours behind schedule. "Pre cruise stay"
The staff at this hotel a very customer oriented. They anticipated needs of guests who would be going on a cruise from Port Everglades and devleoped a service plan to service them well including convienant shuttles, a restaurant recommentations and transport. If we cruise again from Ft. Lauderdale we will definately use this property.
"Terrible"
Upon arriving at the airport with my husband and two children I called the hotel, which the line was busy for 20 minutes. When I finally was able to get through the gentleman who answered gave me directions as to where we were to wait outside the airport. While walking to the area I read him the sign and he said "yes that is the place" and the driver […] would be there in 15 min. After a half hour I called the hotel again and after several times of calling due to a busy line the gentleman said the driver would be there in 5 min. Finally an hour after the first call the driver finally showed up with an attitude telling us we were waiting in the wrong area. No apologies were ever made by the driver or the hotel staff. When we got to the hotel we discovered we were not in a very safe neighborhood. So if you have children I would definitely reconsider booking this hotel. I have stayed in several hotels throughout the years due to business and I can honestly say that I have never been treated with such disrespect by hotel staff in all my years. They treat you here as if they are doing you a favor by letting you stay here instead of you doing them a favor by giving them your business. My family and I were suppose to stay here after our cruise and I guarantee you we will be booking another hotel after I'm done writing this review. PLEASE reconsider booking this hotel!! "I love everything about this hotel"
I cannot believe this is Hampton Inn. This is as good as Westin in my opinion, and much more friendly. The room is spacious and clean. The breakfast option is plenty. And everybody there is so nice and ready to help. Next time I go to FLL I will stay there again.

Had a great time. It was our last day of vacation returning from a cruise. Staff was very accomodating we had a 6 a.m flight the next day and they brought us to the airport at 4 a.m.

"The Hampton Inn in Ft. Lauderdale"
Husband and I made reservations in July for December 3rd, was told , should not be a problem with us getting into a room early since our airline flight was scheduled for arrival at 10:00am and would be at the hotel around 11:00 am. I had specificed we needed a handicapp room for my husband. When we got to the hotel it was packed with people waiting […] to get a room, We were told we would have to wait until they filled 28 rooms for a group that was there. After waiting for almost 3 hrs we finally ask if any of these people had a handicapp room and was told no: they then put us in our room. "Pre-cruise hotel"
We stayed here before our cruise and were very impressed. For reasonable fee I left my car here for the week and the hotel shuttle took us to and from the port. The room was very clean and comfortable for the price. Best value I could find for the hotel/ parking/ shuttle

This hotel is a great value if you use the shuttle service provided! We were picked up from the airport one day and delivered to the cruise ship the next day for the price of a tip to the driver! "Ft. Lauderdale Airport"
Great location. Loved the fact that there was a shuttle to airport and back and to a restaurant so that we didn't have to move the car. Also liked the fact that we could leave our car for 18 days and there was no damage to car. Very smart move for people who have a very early flight in the AM
"Location to Cruise Ship Terminal"
We appreciated the things that we expected at the Hampton Inn, but what we appreciated the most was the convenience of leaving our car at the hotel while we cruised for 10 days. The shuttle dropped us off at the terminal, and picked us up after our cruise.
"Great hotel, but..."
I really liked this hotel, great value for the price. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that my allergies were out of control all night long. I barely slept. They said no pets had been in the room, but boy was my nose running all night long.

"Convenient TO FLL"
Hotel is a short drive from airport. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a shopping center across the street with fast food, Win Dixie, and a Radio Shack. This worked out great since wee needed last minute supplies and snacks for our Key West road trip.

Accomodations were excellent. Friendly staff accommodated both an early check in and late check out, convenient for our flights. Pool and exercise room clean and always well stocked with towels, etc. Will stay again prior to future cruises. One word of caution, we thought we could use free hotel shuttle service from this hotel to our cruise, which left […] and arrived at the Port of Miami. Free shuttle is only to Port Canaveral. The Hotel had a shuttle from the airport. It was very busy and took A LOT of time to get to the hotel. But, it was convenient. The had another shuttle to take you to the cruise that was a little smoother running. The hotel it self was old but clean and served its purpose.

We found the hotel very convenient to airport,and both Miami and Ft.Lauderdale cruise ports. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Staff went above and beyond. We really enjoyed our stay. It is a great value for the price. It is a little far from the beach, which can make it difficult. On the other hand it is extremely close to the airport which is a plus on the last day. Breakfast was very good. Overall a very nice hotel.
