The Soneva Gili by Six Senses is home to the Six Senses Spa, featuring Ayurvedic spa treatments, group yoga and Tai Chi classes, steam rooms, a sauna, and an over-water fitness center. The resort also has a variety of recreational opportunities including a dive center, snorkeling, kayaking and tennis. For guests who prefer the indoors, offerings include board games and a library with books, CDs, DVDs and iPods. There are five dining options at the Soneva Gili by Six Senses. Offerings include western fare, Peruvian dishes, and sushi. Guests may dine in one of the on-site restaurants, privately in-villa or on the water during a sunset champagne cruise. Featuring the over-water treatment rooms, the Six Senses Spa offers a wide range of holistic therapies and programs provided by internationally trained therapists, wellness instructors, and a resident Ayurvedic doctor. Sense by the Sea - Features Peruvian and Japanese fare, including sushi, in a cozy oceanfront setting with seating for 26 guests, and an open kitchen that can be used for cooking classes. Local ingredients are emphasized including the daily catch and fresh organic produce picked from the resort's own gardens. A menu of Japanese sakes and an extensive wine list complement signature dishes.
Main Bar - Built over a shallow lagoon, the bar offers snacks and light meals including a lunch buffet with a wide selection of fresh salad leaves from the resort's garden, fresh sushi, Mediterranean delicacies, daily catch of fish, imported meats and local spices and herbs.
The Wine Cellar and Underground Chocolate Cave - Offers wine tasting and wine dinners in a 300-label underground wine cellar. Artisan cheeses and handmade gourmet chocolates will delight. The sommelier can create an interesting chocolate and wine pairing which may be enjoyed before or after dinner.

The resort is a mere 25 minutes by speed boat from the Male airport and every minute of that ride was memorable. The friendly staff, the comfort of the boat, the azure colors of the Indian ocean... we were lost in paradise even before getting to our resort. The resort is very serious about making your holiday different and fun. From the Mr. Friday […] who is available to you through your entire trip starting from the airport, to the "no news, no shoes" policy to the incredible attention to detail in everything they have done, to the genuinely friendly staff. It was like they were pampering us because they enjoy doing so, not because their bonus depends on it. The Indian chef pulled out all stops to make sure we did not go hungry, despite being staunch vegetarians. He especially pampered the kids no end, with different cuisines at every meal, ending with a different fruit sorbet every time. We have traveled a lot and experienced many luxury resorts, but Soneva Gili took the whole experience to a different level. If you prefer night life or shopping, do not go here.
