Quality Inn South - Reno

I was a late arrival and upon entering room, I was blown away by smell of urine. When I turned on air conditioning it got even worse (mildew and urine). Hotel was booked so there was no chance of moving my room. Never will stay or recommend this hotel again!!!

The room was dark, but fairly clean and large. The general condition of the room needs updates. The TV was a tube-type.The pool and hot tub were out of commission. Breakfast included the generic items, but had fresh fruit, waffles, and breakfast sausages. Good place to crash for the night, but not much else.

This hotel is little bit away from the main casino area and that is one of the drawbacks. The overall condition of the hotel and the surrounding is not so great. The pool looked to be under construction. Also the location of each hotel building was not so convenient. However all comes for the price. So for the price that you pay this is good. One point […] to mention is the breakfast. They really have a wide variety to choose from and the attendant was really caring for the guests that were coming in for breakfast. She also did not mind to extend the breakfast hours for some of the latecomers :) Overall a nice stay for the price that you pay. They could have been some more better though Ďalšie informácie

The carpet in my room was stained, snagged, had something embedded in the fibers. There were holes in the wall and one in the ceiling which I crammed with toilet paper. My room backed up to the pool so the noise level was quite loud. I just played my iPod with an external speaker for "white noise" and it was fine. Also, there was a walkway that went […] past my patio door so I always had to keep my drapes closed for privacy. There were no bedbugs so that was great. Old property but staff very friendly and helpful, room was comfortable and clean.

The hotel is well landscaped with an area for pets. Although it is right on Virgina St. (the main street through town), it was very quiet in the rooms. Rooms were larger than newer hotels, each room had sliding glass door to outdoor patio and access to pool.

If you are going to Reno and do NOT want to stay at a casino, this is a very pleasant and reasonable option. Nothing fancy, but exceeded expectations. Room was very comfortable and very quiet. Free breakfast was more than adequate (loved the D-I-Y waffle feature). The pool was generously sized; the staff was helpful (even made a late night tech support […] call when we had a problem with our free internet). Refrigerator in room was an unadvertised bonus. Nice clean rooms. Personal was friendly. Great central location. Pool heated for comfort. Fantastic continental breakfast. Would stay there again.

The Quality Inn was very nice. My only suggestion to improve it would be the continental breakfast. The set-up of getting the light breakfast was very difficult and crowded. The selection of food was fine, but the narrow area meant everyone was crowded or had to be a line for quite a while.

The Quality Inn South Reno was very nice. They are pet friendly-which was pretty important to us considering we have 2 dogs to contend with. It was not a problem at all. The room was very clean and comfortable. We were very close to numerous restaraunts and stores. We had a great stay. Would very much recommend this hotel.

Nice quiet place to say. No frills. Could be a little nicer for the money.

I had a quiet and comfortable stay. What more could you want. Nice place. Could be more updated and fancy for price.

Had a 6:00 a.m. flight out of Reno so had to be at the airport by 4:30 a.m. Less than five minute taxi ride. Hotel called for taxi and waiting time was more than acceptable. Worst part of stay: electronic cards for room did not work (twice) and walk to and from the room carrying and rolling luggage was long. Finally given a room closer to reception, […] and the cards worked. Best part of stay: room was very quiet and was able to get a few hours of good sleep before early start. Reception was helpful. Good Location for the S. Virginia Strip Hotels etc.

Just did what it said on the tin. Nothing to write home about, but we just needed accommodation for 1 night so it was fine. Area wasn't great - but that doesn't mean unsafe, and it was a bit quirky having different blocks in the hotel for the rooms.
