Cheyenne Mountain Resort - Colorado Springs

A bit over priced. Better for conventions rather than leisure stay

Beautiful resort. Great common area with billiards, fireplace and WII stations to keep the entire family happy. Fitness center large and undergoing a facelift. Nicely decorated rooms, spacious and comfortable.

We had a great time - Beautiful hotel - rooms updated and relaxing. If I stayed again I would book more in advance to get a room higher up. Our room was located with the access road to the golf course so a bit of traffic. Had to request moving because our view was of a dirt hill with a dump truck on it - guess there was construction being done. our […] next room was still backing the road but more trees and a view of the lake - so better. All the staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet was great! Waiters very attentive to refilling coffee and checking on our table. I would definately stay at this hotel again! We had a wonderful time at Cheyenne Mountain Resort. We stayed two days and wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms are very nice, comfortable, quiet and the restaurant is good as well. The business services was very helpful as well. We recommend this resort and look forward to staying again.

I have already recommended it to my friends. Even the 80 MPH winds and the unexpected 6" snowfall didn't dampen our enthusiasm!

The hotel looks like the pictures on the web site. Staff at the hotel were very nice. Service was slow...we roasted marshmallows in the firepit. I asked for blankets before we went outside. We waited for a few minutes to start BC we needed the blankets to keep us warm. They never came with the blankets. We roasted the marshmallows and went back in doors. […] We were asked if the blankets arrived, the service was slow. We had four people in our room. The rom was stocked for two people. We called the front desk for additional towels, it took 30 minutes for them to bring them to the room. The following night, the same happened again . I asked the front desk how long it would take this time around. They said 10 minutes and they were accurate. Overall, the hotel is very nice. The wait time for service needs to improve. Based on our opting for a lower rate, we were supposed to have "courtyard view" as opposed to a "mountain View" but our view was nonetheless gorgeous. Room was terrific with the one exception being the wall mounted HVAC unit that turned on and off incessantly and was noisy as heck.

Often an alternative to its more-expensive neighbor, the Broadmoor, the Cheyenne Mountain Resort is a wonderful hotel unto itself. Great views, great rooms, a fine restaurant and a welcoming staff make the property a definite hotel of choice

We were highly disappointed by our room at this resort. We were assigned a room that was lower level facing a parking lot which was designated a "courtyard view". There were visible dust balls and dirty patio windows plus it clearly felt like we were in a basement! We complained and were moved to an upper level room which looked out over the back of […] another building and its large air conditioning units which were quite noisy and annoying. The bathtub faucet was hanging off the spout and though maintence came to repair it, it fell off soon after. The amenities of the resort are wonderful but the rooms leave alot to desire. We paid a very high rate for a very undesirable room! There was raw plywood around the ac unit in our room; it looked like the framing had been ripped off. The granite counters in the bathroom and elegant bedspreads couldn't cover up the tackiness of the rooms. Ďalšie informácie

We picked Cheyenne Mountain Resort because it is 15 min. away from our daughter in Fountain, CO -- she and her family, and our other two daughters from St. Louis and my husband and I all got rooms at the resort so we could have a family vacation and play with our Colorado grandchildren in the pool and nearby tourist attractions. We were all very pleased […] with accommodations although meals and drinks were pretty pricey - would be nice to have some less expensive options. Also we asked for assistance with Pike's Peak reservations and were handed a brochure. Mini-bars were not stocked which would have been helpful with two little ones and no kitchen facilities in the rooms. also there was very little (or no) info about the lake and its canoes and peddle boats, splash park, playground, volleyball court -- we would have made use of it sooner had we known. And our rooms had a pretty poor view of the resort (tail end of Bear Creek Lodge, overlooking a parked camper). Shuttle service was very accommodating when we requested it. Overall, a very nice stay. it was so big that we could easily fit 2 full size adults in the tub comfortably.

Rooms are plush, super views food is just ok. I live in a big city and we got good food here, I could be spoiled.

We really enjoyed staying at this resort. The kids loved the pools and lake. The beds were very comfortable. Just wish we had planned a longer trip.

The Cheyenne Mountain resort in Colorado Spring had the most comfortable beds on our entire trip. The whole resort was gorgeous. It was difficult to find, because it was in the middle of a residential area.

Beautiful, expensive hotel. Our stay would have been perfect if they could have fixed the airconditioning unit. Woke up to find entranceway floor flooded from airconditioner. Reported problem. Reportedly fixed, but did same thing when we returned that night and did not cool. Reported to management again upon checkout next morning. They were very gracious, […] but not having air in a very hot summer and slipping on wet floor was a big negative. They were updating all the rooms with big flat-screen TV's while we were there. The hotel is a beautiful place, but the staff in the lounge evening of the 4th and 5th of July was very inconsistent. The staff in the restaurant on the afternoon of the 4th were fighting about job's. The evening waitress on the deck of the firepit was amazing! The waitress in the lounge on July 5th was argumentative and very rude!!!!

We had a great time, nice rooms, helpful staff, beautiful setting.

Hotel was extremely overpriced. Requested acking bed and received two queens. Room and hotel were pretty nice but not worth the high price tag.

Hotel has two extremes. On the one side the renovated rooms really pop out and they've done a good job there. On the other hand, the age of some of the other areas really showed. The pool needed alot of maintenance, the air conditioner in the room was loud and didn't work well. The views of the resort is spectacular. Lobby area is nice. Fireplace in […] the terrace. Staff were helpful and kind. Grounds were well kept. Overall, it was an ok stay. Nothing that blows your mind, but solid comfort, cleanliness, and appearance. 3.5 stars instead of 4. Hotel had great amenities but the rooms were far from main area. Had to carry luggage up and down stairs. And you could hear the people above our room so well that it woke us up at all hours of the night. That was the worst part of the stay. It was just so loud.

My 5 year old daughter had a hard time reaching the knobs in the bathroom sink and there was no step stool. She had the same problem getting into the beds due to the thick pillow top. The pool at the resort has a rough texture and she scraped her knees and foot. The pay per view movies were unusually expensive and although there are some close redbox […] rentals the rooms do not have a DVD player so you would need to bring a computer, and cable, to play a movie. Great location for Air Force Academy parents....comfortable rooms....beautiful and spacious lobby....golf, fishing, tennis, etc. on site. Look forward to staying there in the future.

A fine experience, until my wife pulled back the blanket and found body hairs of various lengths and colors all over the linens. At first we thought they just didn't change the sheets, but a maid brought in fresh sheets and they had them too. Maybe their laundry equipment need updating? Either way, it's nasty.

The rooms were well appointed, although dragging your bag, for a weeks stay, down two flights of stairs was awkward. Overall, a very nice resort.

My extended family went there this summer had a great time. Significantly less expensive than the Broadmoor, but still a resort with pools, tennis, golf, etc. Went back this weekend for a night and was impressed with the room. It was completely re-done, modern decor, comfy beds with duvets, great color palette, fabulous bathroom.... It was impressive. […] Looks like they are in the midst of re-doing more rooms so there are dumpsters in the parking lot as can be expected. Nice breakfast buffet. Attentive staff. Should keep microwaves in each guest room.

Not sure I'd come in summer, it appeared very family oriented, and I'd rather relax as a couple. But it was very warm and cozy for my winter stay, and reasonable.

The Cheyenne Mountian Resort is not a resort. This is a convention center. A great place for a meeting. The resort amenities were not obvious. The only "resort" thing we found was the pool. It is a beautiful place, the rooms are very nice and the view is spectacular. I was expecting a lot of open space. Instead you will find rows of buildings 3 stories […] high. Ďalšie informácie

Great place to stay, close to everything in the area with a beautiful view of the area.

The pool by the main building was very nice, and the bar next to it could use a server staff and they would make alot of money.

Noisey, Dirty and Pricey. If you are going for the pool ,have fun. But dont look at the room you are supposed to sleep in

The hotel is really convenient to all the major attractions in the area. Its nice for family oriented events and pleasure. The outdoor pool and lake were very nice for the family and kids to relax and have fun with. For the $ you spend you should get free breakfast but you don't! The dinner buffets are ok but not nearly worth the high price charged. […] They are convenient though. The beds are some of the worst I've ever slept on in a hotel. Room amenities are dated and bathroom ackward. We had one incident of an employee being very rude on the 4th of july. The rest were all very pleasant and helpful. Upon check-in, was told we were getting an upgraded room with a view. Unfortunately the room overlooked the adjoining golf and activities center parking lot - and a continuous stream of cars and trucks from early morning to late night. Our room was in sore need of an updating and serious cleaning - the bed was horribly lumpy; the air conditioner vents […] and bathroom fan vents were filthy, carpeting smelled. Although the property is advertised as non-smoking and there is a designated smoking area, many guests smoked in common areas and on room decks - unpleasant. If you decide to book a room - be sure to request a top floor - our room was on the second floor and although room floors are carpeted - you are able to hear every step, every movement of the upstairs neighbors. The amenities are nice - pools, tennis courts, fitness center, golf, lake. If you can overlook the negatives, the area is beautiful. Ďalšie informácie
