Beijing Landmark Hotel - Peking

The Landmark hotel in Beijing is a reasonably priced alternative to the more expensive western chains, such as the Hilton and the Westin, but the trade-off is fewer amenities and enforcement of China's more restrictive Internet policies. Staff was friendly, with reasonable English skills. The reception and concierge staff were efficient and responsive. […] The hotel offers limited but authentic food options, and the small convenience store provided access to the necessities at fair prices. The bed had the common, rock-hard Chinese mattress, but I was able to get decent sleep, regardless. The room AC worked well, although it seemed to circulate tobacco smoke from other smoking floors, and the window did a reasonable job of shutting out the street noise from the busy highway adjacent to the hotel. One big plus was the large in-room safe, which held my laptop, Bose headphones and DSLR camera gear and lenses with room to spare. There is a Starbucks in a building on the same property, and the excellent CD Blues Care and Bar (great live music) was an easy 15 minute walk up the road. Also, the Beijing Hard Rock Cafe shared the first floor, so American fare was readily available. All in all, my stay at the Landmark was pleasant although certainly not spectacular. I can recommend it for business travelers, but if you are looking for something a little more comfortable or western style, you may want to look elsewhere. Ďalšie informácie

This is a hotel that we keep going back to. It is reasonably priced and convenient to the airport and Silk Market (main shopping destination). The western style breakfast is suitable to western taste with a good range of foods. There is is Starbucks located in the Landmark complex and an Annies (Italian Restaurant) within easy walking distance.

Was only in Beijing for a day and night. Convenient location, especially for the Hard Rock Cafe I booked through Hotels .com and it was good value. However I had to extend the room on a half day rate, not so cheap. Clean, hospitable and attentive staff made it a pleasurable experience and one that I would repeat

Satyed one night due to business to embassy area. Very friendly staff and they all spoke good english. Can really recommend this hotel and I will stay here next time too.

I stayed in the Apartments here for 2 days. Its nice with a great location but the place needs some updating, what with the wallpaper peeling off the walls a bit. That said it was clean, just a bit worn down.

Rooms are a little tired but great value for money - staff and logic not so much - Even in a exec suite I was asked to pay a cash deposit on two very old wine glasses !! English was OK but the staff are very rigid. Taxi and Elevator staff are the most friendly, effective and useful.

The hotel is conveniently located on the 3rd ring road, near a subway station and the embassies are nearby. The hotel staff was very helpful and offered a separate bed for the kid. The breakfast was great. Overall a nice stay.

nice hotel, great staff. i would and have stayed there before. but not real convienent to anything other than hardrock cafe. wish they offered better service to and from the airport.

The hotel was very clean, friendly, spoke good English. There was a spa, conv, store, and 3 restraunts one was the Hard rock cafe. When I was looking to book this hotel if they mentioned the Hard rock was part of the hotel my search would have ended sooner. I was put on the 15th floor with a great view of the city. I did like this hotel a lot. Service was great. They spoke great english - even the elevator door guy knew how to say "merry christmas." They really tried to make you feel comfortable! Great that the hard rock is connected to it and lots around the area. Just dont go into the basement. There were a bunch of single 18 year old women and 60 year old men […] doing kareoke. Staff struggles a bit with English, but did not present any problems. I was on a non-smoking floor, but a number of the patrons were smoking in their rooms. Convenient location and a 25rmb cab ride to the Forbidden City and 15 rmb to the Silk Market. Walking distance to bar street and lucky street (restaurants). Hintaansa nähden ihan hyvä hotelli hyvällä paikalla. Palvelu toimi hyvin kaikissa asioissa.

Personal und Ausstattung gut; Badezimmer leicht heruntergekommen, hängt aber vermutlich davon ab, auf welcher Etage man ein Zimmer bekommt. Gut: immer Taxen verfügbar, U-Bahn sehr nahe als Alternative, gutes Reisebüro im Haus. Frühstück sehr gut, aber teuer. Lift und Taxi staff ist sehr zuvorkommend.

これまでは、出張で利用していたホテルです。プライベートで、自分で手配したのは初めてです。 出張時は、部屋でＡＤＳＬを無料で利用でき、助かってます。今回は、個人的な旅行の為、ＰＣを持っていきませんでしたが、ビジネスセンターで、最初の15分は無料でインターネット利用できました。非常に助かりました。

空港から電車と地下鉄を乗り継いで３０分ほどで着くのが良い、ただし地下鉄並びに空港線の早朝深夜運転を強く望みますニューヨークなみにしてほしい！！！！

Jeg har i tre omgange boet på Beijing Landmark Hotel og servicen har alle tre gange været upåklagelig. Man sover godt i hotellets senge og værelserne er pænt store. Hotellets personale har været yderst imødegående og hjælpsomme i forbindelse med bestilling af taxi, forespørgtsler omkring længere transport, veksling af penge, bestilling af billetter […] til forestillinger. Jeg har spist flere gange i hotellets Evergreen Café og det har været en stor fornøjelse hver gang. Der er en meget behagelig og afslappet atmosfære i restauranten. Hvis man sidder ved et af vindues bordene med vinduer fra gulv til loft har man et flot lysindfald og et smukt kig ud i en fin lille have. Udvalget af mad i buffeten er stort, varieret og velsmagende og tjenerne er meget smilende. Der bliver løbende fjernet brugt service, hældt mere op i glasset, og der bliver hele tiden sørget for nyt og varmt tevand. Jeg giver dette en varm anbefaling. Ďalšie informácie

Tilbragte 6 nætter med kæresten på Landmark Hotel, efter nogle dage i centrum af Beijing på meget dyrere hotel. Servicen på Landmark er uovertruffen - efter en lille uges tid har jeg helt glemt hvordan jeg selv åbner en dør! De billigste af værelserne er et fund til prisen men alligevel meget små. Omkring sengen kun meget lidt bevægelsesfrihed og sengen […] noget hårdere end forventet på et hotel gearet mod vestlige gæster. Hotellets beliggenhed er skøn i forhold til at tage med taxa rundt i Beijings yderkanter ligesom der rundt om hotellet er et skønt dagligliv uden den stress der godt kan være længere ind mod Beijings centrum. Hotellet mellem 2 metrostationer, desværre på en af de mindre gode metrolinier i forhold til at komme ind til centrum. Gåafstand til Sanlitun SOHO. Godt kaffested lige i nærheden ligesom masser af små forretninger (især brugte vi bageren til højre når man kommer ud på hovedgaden hvor selv jeg som dansk barista var tilfreds med kaffen!) og ned ad den første sidegade også til højre langs hovedvejen findes der et godt, italiensk spisested (Elisas) ligesom de små kinesiske spisesteder lever helt op til den bedste kinesiske mad jeg selv har fået andetsteds i Kina. Også ned af denne sidegade findes et massagested på højre hånd - billige, gode blinde massører engelsktalende receptionist. Vi nød især den store park 2 blokke fra hotellet. Hotelværelset var ikke specielt men området omkring hotellet ligesom personalets venlighed var helt hvad vi ønskede af opholdet. Ďalšie informácie

Helt ok standard, men hotellet ligger litt utenfor sentrumskjernen på vei mot flyplassen. Vi hadde i utgangspunktet bestilt standardrom, og det viste seg at alle standardrom er røykerom!! Da vi klagde på dette fikk vi en gratis upgrade til superiorrom, noe vi var veldig fornøyd med.

It is a nice hotel with very nice service.The hotel rooms would also be very nice if they were renovated with modern look.
