I stayed at Hotel Acta Madfor for 4 nights at the end of March. It was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. The beds were soft, the room was clean... (if a bit sparsely furnished), and the shower pressure was amazing. It's located right across the street from Principe Pio, so you can easily take the metro to get around Madrid, or hop on a Cercanias train to visit places outside Madrid, like El Escorial. The wifi worked great the whole time we were there, and we were able to store our stuff in their lockers post-checkout for a very reasonable fee (2 euro!), rather than lugging our stuff around the city.
