no where near the beach and the pool is a bit larger than a bathtub. breakfast was okay! would not at all recommend this place. dump near nothing!

hotel was no where near the beach and in the middle of nothing. it as under construction. The pool looks big in pictures but is very small and the hot tub seats. 3 at most. laying around the pool is limited to 6 people. breakfast was okay!

Hotel was clean and nice. Check-in personnel were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Free parking and free wifi. Right across the street from the harbor. Plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. No complaints.

Even though there was construction happening on part of the hotel while we were there, it was still very quiet and accomodating. The service was exemplary. They even had cookies out on the front desk in the evening. They also keep the coffee and tea out around the clock. This hotel was conveniently located close to Balboa Island and the Balboa area, as well as just 10 km/5.5 miles or a 10 minute drive from the center of Huntington Beach. That being said, we did find that there wasn't much within walking distance in the way of nightlife besides a few nearby restaurants, but that was our fault for not doing more research on the area. Sofa bed in room totally uncomfortable, had to request additional layering. Staff not really caring... No fitness room as mentioned on Website, horrible breakfast.. Tiny pool tucked in between 3 walls and parking lot... Way too expensive for what you get. I would NOT recommend.

"Holiday INN EXPRESS Consistent and Comfortable"
We were in beach community, in a popular part of SoCal, so traffic getting in and out is a bit tough. Otherwise it was a very nice comfortable place to stay. Close to everything SoCal has to offer. The free breakfast consisted of pancakes, sausage, toast doughnuts, muffins juices coffee, cereal, and more. Something for everyone to enjoy. Fran T.

I stayed at this hotel only one night for my bestfriends wedding on the 4th. booking rooms in as much advance is a must. I stayed in a room on the street side but it was still very quiet. I did not have high expectations when I booked this room. I needed something reasonably priced in that location. From previous visits I knew that some of the less expensive motels were kind of seedy. Stayed in the hotel for a week when visiting NB on business. Location could not have been better, especially considering the value cost of the hotel. Staff was always polite and helpful and would return again when back in NB on business.
