Comfortable room, great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Our room was along a busy street and it was a bit noisy. Other than that, it was a great place to stay!

"Excellent location between bay and ocean"
We greatly enjoyed our stay at Bay Shores Peninsula. The owners/managers are friendly and helpful. The rooms--especially the higher priced executive rooms--are quite spacious, with lovely views toward the bay or ocean (but don't expect full view). We selected the hotel due to reviews and rating in Trip Advisor. It did live up to its solid reputation. It has a homey feel, is in a great location and the staff are very friendly and helpful. For the money, it is a great value. The only negative was our wall unit AC was noisy and needed repair but the weather was cooler, so we just opened the window. "Don't judge this book by its cover"
We booked this place for a last minute business trip. I was concerned when I saw the pictures that it would be more of a cheap motel, but was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The service was awesome, and they offer a lot of amenities that I did not expect. If I were staying here for a weekend at the beach, I would have been in the perfect place. This is an excellent little place to stay in the Newport Area. I am not one to write long reviews, but really i have nothing bad to say about this hotel. "Lovely, Understated, Well Run"
The staff was great! Very helpful on recreation, dining and site-seeing suggestions. For an older establishment, this place is nicely tended to. It was everything a Beachside Motel should be. Location was convenient for walking to the oceanside Pier and it's surroundings, as well as the bayside Newport Yacht Club and it's surroundings. The hotel was very nice for it being inexpensive, its not a posh hotel, but great for the $. The customer service is fantastic and the 3pm cookies and breakfast were great perks.

"Best Beach Hotel Ever"
This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. From the moment I walked in for check-in, I felt like family. Front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. Since parking was limited, they informed me that if I ever had to park in the metered parking across the street, all I had to do was let them know and they would pay for it. How awesome is […] that?! The room was nice and cozy. It's not 5 stars or anything but I definitely felt like I was home. I like how I was greeted with chocolates on the pillows and a letter welcoming my stay. I loved the tar removal towellet, makeup removal, and dvd/vhs player. I also loved the large dvd selection offered at no charge and complimentary cookies every afternoon. The continental breakfast is one of the best i've ever seen. I also absolutely loved the roof deck. The only thing I would suggest is heat lamps and some sort of lighting. "Great Beach Hotel"
Everything laid back and wonderful. Nice guys running the place. Beautiful to be across the street from a fantastic beach. Great, great area. Homemade cookies waiting for you. Kick-back-get-your-own breakfast with quality coffee. Room is clean and comfortable - smallish size is no negative for this location, this price, etc. Brilliant choice.

This is not only a cute little hotel but the staff seems to want you to have a fun stay. It's in a great location with everything from fishing, to beautiful beaches and of course the Crab Cooker Restaurant.

This will be a place that I visit for a lifetime to come. There were so many special favors added to my wonderful stay. First off, my room was outstanding!!! The decor has a ocean theme and very relaxed comforts. There was a welcome note on the bed and every night my covers were graciously turned down to welcome me to a good nights sleep. In the morning […] was a light breakfast with the best coffee I have ever tasted, that could be enjoyed in any one of the peaceful sitting areas. Offered in each room were DVD players with 100's of movies to choose from in the Lobby. Fresh baked cookies every afternoon that couldn't be resisted. A staff that treated me like family. A beautiful upper deck that offered a view of both Bay and Ocean. They even had chairs, boogie boards and sand toys that could be checked out for enjoyment at the beach. The location was 1 block from both bay and ocean, and within walking distance of dining, shopping, pier walking and nightlife. I look forward to my next visit, which prior to leaving I secured.
