"Don't stay there. A Ghetto Inn!!"
This was a Ghetto Inn for me. A very noisey hotel where I could hear everything and everyone. I knew when someone in third floor went in or out. Noises everywhere up to 1am!! Crummy people and next-to-homeless permanent residents. I was there for 3 nights and I regertted every minute of it. Just awful!!

Very good rooms and service for the price. Good breakfast included. In room coffee + enegry bars + fresh fruit (at no cost) + 2 bottles of water! Very nice people at the front desk and very knowledgeable too. Neighborhood is a little less attractive. "another tired BW hotel"
This is one of the older BW and I am not certain what the plus is supposed to be for. Tired old property, carpets are worn and stained, walls beaten and stained. what I expected from BW 10 years ago. Attached Restaurant was a sad little affair with roach coach quality food....
"Convenient and Comfortable"
Had a meeting the next morning and needed a room for the night that was comfortable but not expensive. Checked in late and the room was satisfactory for the single night stay. Would stay there again for that purpose.

The room was very nice. The email I received noted that the room has Sleep Number beds, I was dissapointed that they did not. I would stay there again if in the area.
overall, hotel was average. Shower was broken, air conditioner was working poorly. Breakfast that was so tauted about was late and non-existent. Many people were waiting around for breakfast. When person showed up to cook my opinion of it was "bad".

This motel met my expectations in every way except there was obviously a big repair mess going on - it looked like a water pipe broke and two or three rooms in my hallway were being repaired - it was noisy during the day - but all quiet and good after hours. "Newport Mesa Best Western - best breakfast!"
This is (almost) a great hotel. Their complimentary breakfast is home-cooked with friendly staff at the hotel restaurant (Francesca's) -- far better than the plastic breakfasts with make-it-yourself waffles you get at most chain hotels. The room was clean and pleasant with complimentary bottled water, fruit and a snack. A nice touch! The one big drawback […] is the very poor sporadic wi-fi service and the ZERO cell phone reception in the hotel room. It was nice enough, clean enough, and had free hot breakfast and free shuttle to airport and close to everything, so we enjoyed our stay there for the week.

Airport shuttle van was convenient and prompt. Room was clean and well appointed for a mid-range hotel room. OC Fair was going on across the street, so some noise (not the hotel's fault). Had to leave at 6:30 am so no breakfast.

when hotel was booked, we were not informed that the hotel was undergoing construction: no pool, no parking and loud noises. The location was ok, neighborhood not great, but close to the beach at reasonable prices.

Best Western hotel in Costa Mesa, Ca is a not recommended place. Do not stay in room 111... Everything is broken in this room. Heater doesn't work, but bad smoke smell that set the fire alarm detector on. The T.V. remote doesn't work. The shower nob is broken... WORSE OF THE ALL. THE IRON IS BROKEN. The Best Western Mesa was a very nice place to stay and met my expectations for the money spent. THey have a great breakfast too that is made to order eggs with meat and fruit. The room was very large and had nice clean furniture. The bed was also very comfortable. I would stay there again!

My kids and I stayed here for one nite as part of a spring break getaway. We had a good experience. The pool didn't close early, and was heated - so we enjoyed swimming in the evening. The breakfast across the way at Franchesca's was a nice alternative to the dry cereal that's usually offered as hotel/motel breakfasts. She had a selection of oatmeal […] with toppings, bacon, eggs, potatoes, pastries, muffins bagels & toast. The heated pool & spa were great. The full breakfast included eggs, hashbrowns, & sausage. Everything was great. Only disappointment is that sofa beds mentioned on website are only available in rooms with 1 king bed.

The room was fine (no frills, but fine for the price) The clerk said he was putting us in a room "away from the traffic noise" (Room 215)and it was quiet at night. However, the guests next door started the noisy shower at 5:00 am, and the water heater was very, very loud, so we were awake from that time.
