"Philadelphia Hilton at City Avenue"
I must say, of all the Hiltons I have stayed at on the east coast, this one was easily the least impressive. My room barely looked made up and all of the pillows were thrown on the chair in the room and were not on the bed, and the body pillow was on the floor. For the money, it was not a good value, the cab fares to downtown and the sports complex […] were outrageous, and the hotel looked old and rundown. I normally think Hiltons are great and normally recommend all of the ones I have stayed at to others, but I would be hard pressed to recommend this one to anyone. The staff was nice and courteous, but I overall I was not at all impressed with the hotel and I think it should have cost half as much as it did for my one night stay. Sorry, just being honest. "Mediocre Hotel, Mediocre Value"
They charge for WiFi, the parking isn't super close and they charge you every time you leave the lot, not once per stay. The "gift shop" was nice for snacks etc. at a good value but overall the hotel left a bad taste in my mouth.

This Hotel was wonderful, service was good and I enjoyed my stay. My daughter who is a teen really enjoyed the, pool and gym.

I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times. The rooms are nice and the price is reasonable. They also have a very good bar. It's not in the greatest of neighborhoods but it is a short cab ride to Manayunk (lots of good shopping and restaurants). Not that close to Center City.

I went to Philadelphia for a music festival over the weekend. The hotel was about 20 minutes from the venue, so it was an ideal spot for me to stay. Everything about the hotel was fine. The beds were clean and comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and found all the amenities acceptable. I only had 2 complaints. Parking. Hotels.com lists the parking […] as $10/day. It's not. There is a parking lot for the hotel that charges you each time you leave the parking lot, so if you leave 3 times in one day you have to pay for parking 3 different times. There is street parking, if you can find a spot that's available, and you don't have to pay for it. Also, it's not listed as part of their policy and they don't tell you this when you check in, but they put a hold of $50/night on whatever card you used to charge the room. I only stayed 2 nights, but I wasn't expecting a $100 hold on my debit card when I checked my account after my stay. Other than that, it was a fine place to stay, and if I had to stay in Philadelphia again and the price was right I'd stay in the Hilton. Ďalšie informácie
"Overall Good"
Overall Good experience but the hotel fells a little lower in star rating than i expected. Good restaurant though. Parking distance is long if you have to carry your bags, valet becomes the solution, at a cost...

"Terrible customer service -- dirty bathroom!"
I recently spent one night in this hotel while traveling for work. Even with a 5-month old at home, I can safely say that this was my worst night of sleep in months! Here's what happened: I went to use the toilet for the first time around midnight while getting ready for bed, only to find it clogged and filled with a previous guest's explosive diarrhea. […] I tried flushing it once but it wouldn't clear. So, I called the front desk and explained the situation. About 10 minutes later a security staff person knocked on my door and proceeded to try to hand me a plunger. I explained that I would not be plunging the toilet myself as it wasn't my mess. He gave me a very confused look and said he'd try to find someone in housekeeping to come help. About 10 minutes later he came back and said housekeeping had gone home for the day and that he'd use the plunger himself (great!). Unfortunately, this helped but didn't solve the problem of the disgustingly dirty toilet. He said he was going to go find something to clean the toilet with and then come back. He never came back. Some of you may be wondering why I didn't ask to move to another room -- good question! What can I say? It was late, my things were unpacked, all I wanted was to go to bed and I thought the issue was being taken care of. Plus, I started dozing off while waiting for him to return and then it was REALLY late when I realized he never came back. To make matters worse, once I laid my head on the pillow to finally get some good sleep, I found that the fridge in the room had a very annoying and incessant rattle! (I couldn't just unplug the fridge because I am a breastfeeding mama and I needed my pumped milk to stay cool overnight.) At this point, it's 1:30AM so I put a pillow over my head in the hopes of just being able to drown out the noise a tactic that proved only somewhat successful. I recently had cause to travel to Philadelphia late one night to see a sick familiy member in the hospital. I went with my fiance and rented a room with a king size bed. Once I checked in, two double beds. Great. I had to work after I arrived. Plugged in my computer only to find that internet access costs money. Who does that any more? Well, I decided […] to pay for it, I had no choice. But wait, the internet failed to connect. Awesome. I needed a night cap and went down to the bar. While the in room hotel services binder indicateed that they served food at the bar until 11:00, I went down there at 10:30. Bartender says they stopped serving food at 10:00. Fantastic. So I checked out the following morning, after having been there for less than 10 hours. Tried to check out with the television, and it errored out. Oh well. While this Hilton was very clean and well kept, and the staff were kind, nothing at this hotel worked and it all cost too much money. Would I go there again. Heck no, I'm calling Red Roof Inn. The stay was OK, but there were a few things that could have been better. The safe was not in working condition from the start, apparently as the batteries were flat. When I brought it up, first the security person came to check, and then he said he needed the technician to fix it and left. When the tech came, he had to ask the security person to come […] again to do something before it could be fixed - delaying my dinner after about 30 hr from the time i first boarded a plane for this trip. The broadband connection was also very bad, and I spent probably some 3-4 hr for 3 nights (first, second and fourth - i was too tired on the third to do the same) on the phone with the helpline to try to resolve my problem, to no real avail... "noisy a/c at Hilton"
very noisy a/c, too much light in the room (from outside neon sign), several latenight episodes of loud talking in the hallways. Lost our cc imprint so we couldn't order a movie. never again.

I have never been so disappointed in a hotel stay. We drive up to check in, there are only stairs visable, so we drag our luggage up the stairs where the doorman can't even open the door to help, because he is too busy polishing the luggage cart. the garage to park the car was a block away in a public garage. The front desk person was rude and condensing. […] Gave us a room we didn't request, and said it was because the room wasn't ready for check in was at 4:00. It was 3:30 and every piece of literature, including in the room pamphlet said 3:00 check in. Housekeeping was still "cleaning" at 6:00. We complained to the maanger, and the best he could do was offer a glass of wine and get the correct room key. The bartenders were great. no greeting, not friendly staff was not helpful with luggage, car, checking in, lied to me about check in time and tried to give me room i did not ask for. bar and bartenders were nice and great. hotel manager was good. front desk one, not so much. does not compare to hilton quality at all!

"Hilton hotel - close to Lankenau Hospital"
My husband and I stayed at this hotel while my son was admitted for surgery. We are from out of town and did not see the possibility of driving back and forth during this stressful event. Although the circumstances for which we stayed were not pleasant, the hotel was very conveniently located. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Hilton City Ave. My impression of previous Hilton stays in other stays were just so-so. But this one was comfortable, the service was exemplary. I would stay here again.

I was traveling with my mother who is in a wheelchair, The staff was extremely helpful in assisting me in trying to transport both her and our luggage. The room was very clean and comfortable loved the pillows!

"Not a very happy experience."
My brother lives down the street so I thought this would be a convenient location. Was not all that impressed. The staff was not very friendly, especially the front desk. On this website it says "breakfast buffet" with the price of the room; opposed to other rooms saying "breakfast not included". So we are thought breakfast was included everyday for […] the stay. We stayed 4 days, we only had one breakfast that was included. But even though there was 2 of us, we only recieved one voucher. We had to fight to get another one. I didnt see any fine print stating it's only good for one person and one day. It's not a huge deal but in comparing to other hotels in the area, I would of picked somewhere else to stay. We did the valet parking for one night ($10), but we were charged for 3 nights. Had to complain to get that off. there is a lot on street parking and there is a lot down the street for $5 bucks. the room size is ok. the cleaning service isnt that great. we were out all day and the maid came to clean the room @ 3pm-- needless to say it didnt get done that day. but on the day we checked out she came 3 times between the hours of 10-11am even though we told her we were leaving and check out is @ noon. "convenient to Wynnewood, PA and also to Philadelph"
the hotel is pleasant, with a pleasant staff. Parking is $5 at a parking lot a few blocks away, or $10 a day valet parking--but we were lucky and found street parking two of the three nights. We did not use many of the hotel facilities--we were visiting family for the Thanksgiving holiday, but there seemed to be lots to do. We were somewhat annoyed […] that the TV remote did not work and there were no NON-remote buttons to use--but it was fixed by the second day. "In Philly for a wedding"
Excellent hotel, staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Had a red eye the night before and even though our room wasn't ready, they put us up in a room in the meantime to get some rest. Everyone from the valet to the check in staff to the lady that cleaned our room, were helpful and courteous. Excellent stay, our room even had a flat screen TV.

For a fairly expensive stay - but not out of line with a big Eastern city - it was less than impressive. The coffee maker had not been cleaned out when we arrived. There was no refrigerator. The girl who checked us in was either bored or disdainful. No help was offered with our luggage.

"Could be cleaner"
Underneath of beds was not enclosed and had not been vacuumed in a long time. Appliances did not work until maintenance was called in. Doors between rooms were too thin - easily heard neighbor. Room not really updated for modern computer technology.

The hotel was clean and staff was nice. Although it looks like its time for the hotel to be renovated. Just be warned parking is difficult as the only parking (if you choose not to use valet parking) is very limited especially if there is an event (such as prom during our visit). The hotel has a nice steakhouse in the lobby area. I would recommend this […] hotel...but bring your hairdryer--had to air dry my hair. "Clean and Convenient"
Convenient location close to I-76. Room was comfortable and clean although they need to replace the lampshades (one stained, one warped). Otherwise room was great, quiet. Staff was very professional. WiFi was extra, thought it would be free.

Every time I called down to ask a question they had to call me back with an answer and never did. I had to call again. We had a few teenage boys with us and they were very suspicious of them the entire time.. I will not go back to this hotel again.

Hotel room was pre-paid thru hotels.com. While checking out at hotel they printed a bill with room charges saying i will be billed. Had to show them the hotels.com payment receipt and tell them it was paid for. They said they will bill hotels.com dont know why they werent able to figure out it was paid for inspite of providing hotels.com reservation#. […] They take credit card info during checkin so i left there not quite sure if they will still bill me and i will have to sort it out later. ""Great room for the money""
Our room was very clean and comfortable as in all the Hilton's we have stayed in. The complimentary breakfast was quite amazing, since there was a chef preparing eggs to order, as well as pancakes and waffles. There was fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, freshly cooked bacon and sausages, and of course coffee,tea, and juices. All of this was offered in […] the hotel dinig room which has a nice atmosphere. If there was a complaint, it would be the constant traffic flowing in front of the hotel, and the hotel's proximity to the historical district.
