Concierge, front desk, everyone in the front of the hotel were so content with average. There was no smile, hello, thank you. Nothing. Not looking for them to bend over backward but the guys out front could have at least opened a door for me since they were not kind enough to help with the bags!
"Left a lot to be desired"
Had booked three rooms. On arrival, the hotel lobby was noisy and rowdy. Took more than 25 mins before I started check in. I requested one of the rooms have two queen beds. Was given a room which already had quests in it. When I returned to the front desk to get another room, the staff was rude and beyond dumb! It took over 30 mins for them to find […] me another room. I also confirmed with the Manager on duty that breakfast was included and he said yes and requested that we pick up the coupons in the morning. In the morning, the staff behind the desk said breakfast was not included. The manager on duty offered to give us some discount coupons towards breakfast. Then it took about 20 mins to get us seated for breakfast and when we got seated, we found a swarm of ants swimming around our table, so had to change our table again. Experience marred an otherwise pleasant vacation. Being a Priority Club member, I was expecting better given my past experience, but will need to rethink about staying at Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn or any other IC Hotel again in the future... The location was great. We had a view of the Arch out our window. Walking distance to everything downtown from the Edward Jones Dome to Busch Stadium. The guy who checked us in seemed like he was all about upselling us to a suite and trying to get us to pay the hotel $10/day for unlimited in/out privileges, when it ended up only costing $9 to leave […] the car parked in the garage for two days. We walked everywhere. Didn't feel like he was looking out for our best interest, but instead his upsell opportunities. "Prompt attention to issue."
We had a slow running sink in our bathroom. Maintenance engineeriing person was prompt to appear & get "down under" to fix the problem. Very courteous staff at all times & all departments.

I was in St. Louis Downtown for the CCC Convention. I stayed in this hotel, and enjoyed my time there. They have nice staff, too. The only thing I did not enjoy was the wireless internet service. It wasn't that great. So, I could not Skype with my wife and kids. I just recommend the hotel should look into this problem. Every other thing was nice.

Some examples: Waited in line at the front desk while one employee chatted up two young men at the front desk, another hid behind office walls, and another ignored guests and read the morning paper. Went outside 10 minutes later to find roughly one dozen employees taking a smoke break in the garage. Found old soaps and opened shampoos in the tub and […] the glass on the windows of the room had fingerprint and dirt smudges. Half the time the escalator and front revolving door were broken. The employees seem, on a whole, completely underwhelmed to serve guests. The manager was nice (and a multitasker, shock!), but one person does not a clean, personable hotel make. "Dissapointed"
We ended up getting reservations at the Crowne Plaza, because it was a busy weekend in St. Louis, and everything was sold out, but I didn't think it was going to be too bad. The hotel is very old, not very clean or well kept. The parking garage was horrible, even scary... really ran down. If I wasn't with my husband, I would've not walked down there […] by myself. Personnel at front desk were friendly and helpful. They were efficient and welcoming. The negatives: the soda machine on the floor was entirely empty on a Thursday night-and the machine did not refund money. Front desk refunded the money without a hassle, but it kept me from trying any other vending machine in the hotel. The hotel staff were aware […] that the machines (maintained by an outside service) were a problem-didn't seem like this was a new issue. Room was clean, but no shampoo-just conditioner, soap and hand lotion. Room service was not overly expensive, but they were out of several menu choices of entrees and desserts. Room service however was quick, and food portions and taste were very good. Elevators were very slow. Again, best aspect was the people on staff were friendly, but my overall experience was lukewarm, hard to recommend wholeheartedly to someone else, or make this hotel first choice to revisit. "my valentines celebration"
this was my first time in st louis and i really enjoyed myself!!! my boyfriend and I had a ball and our room was comfortable, clean and had a GREAT VIEW OF THE ARCH !! the only thing i can say negative is that i wish i had booked a room with a king bed but that view made up for it. when we go back in may, we will be staying there again and hopefully […] in the same room. "Great Service/Great Location"
Even though I arrived earlier than the hotel's "check in" policy, I was given a room immediately, which was a beautiful room looking directly onto the Arch. The curtains definitely need some work, since you can tell they're beyond old, but other than that the room was great. Service was great, as well.

We were extremely satisfied with our stay at the Crowne Plaza-Riverfront at the Arch. The hotel itself was very nice and clean. The only thing that we were a tad unhappy with was the bathroom needed some updated remodeling. Overall, the hotel's location and friendly staff truly made our stay in St. Louis.

"UNBELIEVABLE VIEW!!!"
We have stayed here twice and both times we have had the perfect view of the arch and sunrise. It is absolutely gorgeous! We have stayed in the standard room and the suite and if you can afford to do the suite, it is well worth the $. "crown plaza st louis"
No hot water the whole time we were there.they would not give us a different room and told us to contact the online booking company when we left but that didn't help us get a shower which I think is a basic daily need but the management didn't think so.

We arrived Christmas Day evening. The hotel was not busy and we were very pleased to discover that our room was 2610. It was a large, beautiful room with a fantastic view of the Arch. We couldn't have been happier with our short stay. Will definately stay at the Crowne Plaza when we get back to St. Louis. John and Sally

Somewhat disappointing room, with a bathroom that should have been updated years ago and a heating system that nearly blasted us out of the room.

we checked in and the staff couldnt have been more pleasant. Without requesting, we were upgraded to a small suite facing the Arch. We enjoyed cocktails at fabulous bar and being right downtown we had unlimited fine dining choices. Our only regret was being there only one night. We will definitely go back.

Best place I've ever stayed. It couldn't have been in a better location. Walked right over to the arch. The view was beautiful. The staff was very nice and helpful. The parking was easy. The only problem was the temperature in the room. It was a little warm overnight. But I got over it. "A great location but a lousy hotel service!"
For a hotel famous for luxury, I thought that the price offered at Hotels.com was great, but when I arrived in my room, other then the ASTOUNDING VIEW of the Arch and the River, the room had cob webs around the heater knobs, the window hasn't been cleaned for a while (maybe because it is the 25th floor). The room was old, I was charged 20,00 from parking […] plus 10.00 for the valet WITHOUT BEING FOREWARNED and given an opportunity to park my own vehicle, the people in the services area were overall cocky and not very classy, perhaps low wage workers, and after being in a Crown Plaza in other locations this, APART FROM THE VIEW OF MY ROOM WINDOW, this was a very BAD experience. I've stayed at the Crowne Plaza many time in STL and have always been pleased. The decor is beautiful, beds are amazing and the service is great! My only discomfort about this particular stay is that our room was warmer than normal and we couldn't seem to change the temperature anywhere. What, no thermostat in the room to stop the heat! It was a lovely room with a great mattress (and lots of wonderful bed coverings), but felt like a sauna--could only find a small window to open and it kept closing. Everything was fine and the staff was very attentive and friendly. My only complaint was that the room was too hot and there was no way to lower the temperature without opening a sliding glass door. There were a few minor repairs needed - e.g., a hole punched in the bathroom door. Otherwise, very good!

"Crowne Plaza Downtown/ St. Louis"
This is an older Crowne right next to the arch. The location provided excellent access to the down town attractions: Ball field, casino's and the stadium. We enjoyed waling to a couple of nice restaurants and local night clubs. The hotel room was spacious but very out dated. Old fixtures and the bathrooms are even older. "Crown Plaza (Arch) Lacking in the small things"
The Crown Plaza at the Arch was very clean with a friendly staff. However, they missed some of the small details. There was an iron, but no ironing board in the room. As well as no hangers in the closet. It took the water in the shower about twenty minutes to become hot. The room, on the other hand, was hot all night. The hotels location is quite convenient and they validate your parking in the parking garage next to the hotel, allowing you to come and go as often as you like for a small daily fee. I was able to check in at 5am on the day of arrival and had a great room facing the arch..literally right outside the window! Room could have used a bit more cleaning in the bathroom, but overall a great hotel and excellent location. Would stay there again when the Rangers avenge the title.

"Had a Problem"
The bed was soaked, all the way through to the mattress. They quickly changed the bedding and the manager said they were going to compensate us for the inconvenience. They didn't charge us for parking and offered us dinner vouchers but we had reservations some where else. So that didn't hhelp much.
