The price was good, but dated hotel. Old tv, they needed to get new mattress, pillows were old and linens were old. The bathroom was nice size and updated. Wasnt as nice as I had expected the bathroom tub wouldnt turn off so I could hear it running just a little more than a drip all night I did tell this to the receptionist w. Everything wss great with a couple of exceptions. Bathroom fan was making a rattling sound and the tv list said they had HBO, but we went through all the channels and no HBO. Paid with Paypal, quick and easy transaction. It's a great place to stay. It's out of the way though, we were doing the Portland car swap meet. The breakfast is awesome, filling and plentiful! The only thing we didn't like was the dirty water in the pool and spa, it was a nasty green color and the water really stinks like a swamp. I absolutely love this hotel and I stay in it whenever I travel to Washington. It is close to two major freeways as well as to many food locations. It is also a short drive away from the mall and to major cities like Portland. I got a room for my wife just so she could have some time away from our kids and just have her "me" time for a couple of nights. There was nothing special about the place but for $65 you can't ask for much. No mini fridge or micro was surprising because I thought it was pretty standard to at least have a micro in every room. "No recognition or help for a real problem"
I had inadvertentely left my wallet in my other car when I left for this trip. I arrived at the hotel late at night with no wallet (thus ID or credit dard). I had my Expedia receipt and my check book, but nothing else. The front desk person was trying to be helpful, but told me he had to follow policy and check with his manager, whom he promptly called. […] The manager was unwilling to to do ANYTHING about this, citing company policy and the fact that it was not the hotel's fault that I left my wallet behind. I truly get that it is important to have ID and a CC card- one never knows who is checking into a hotel for sure. But REALLY? I even offered to call my husband to get a credit card nmber, but that would not work without ID. We were eventually allowed to check into my prepaid room using my friend's ID and CC, but not before a lot of hassle and strain. I like this hotel, but I don't think I will be back. The room was nicer than I expected. Hotel itself as well as room was very clean. The pool area was also very clean and pleasant. The staff and managers were very kind and helpful.
