Sleep Inn Airport - West Columbia

A convenient location very close to the airport at a good price in a great city. We were given a non-smoking room, but it smelled strongly of cigar smoke. As we waited to be given a new room, we noticed how often and how loud the motor of the refrigerator ran. The hotel accomodated and gave us a fresh-smelling room, and a quiet refrigerator. Appreciated […] that. With maintenance and carpet cleaning, the room could have been more comfortable. The sink and hair dryer were conveniently outside the bathroom. The sliding pocket door to the toilet & shower was off-track and couldn't latch. An enclosed shower unit worked fine for us, but wouldn't be great for tall folks over 6'4". Appreciated the hotel's business center, 24 hr. coffee/tea, Wall Street Journal. The breakfast dining area was attractive, but had an early flight so didn't get the complimentary breakfast. Staff was courteous and helpful, rooms were in need of updating,particularly the carpeting. It was dirty and in need of being replaced. Would not stay there again and would not recommend to others.

The rooms were not very nice or clean

Even though the hotel has not been recently updated, it was clean. I was suprised there were no flat screen tvs. Contintental breakfast was just as advertised.

We only needed a hotel for our last night. It was close to Chilis. Great

Very nice receptionist. Close to restaurants and convienence store. Continental breakfast was good. Would have liked a better selection of fruit, but otherwise a very nice stay.

Just perfect for the night before an early flight!

We made a reservation through hotels.com. At the time a hold was placed on our card. When we checked in around midnight, the hotel place another hold on our card for an additional $72.00. The girl at the front desk took great efforts to correct the problem, even calling the manager at 1:00 a.m. The monies were released the next morning by the hotel […] but were tied up for another 2 days by my bank making the funds unavailable. This was due to the hotels error of double charging us. I appreciated the efforts she made to get this corrected but don't understand why it happened in the first place. I could have given this hotel a much higher review but the carpeting quite obviously needed replacing. It was very dirty and stained, to the point that I didn't take my shoes off. Everything else seemed pretty clean though and the staff was very friendly.
