Solid. Good breakfast, clean room w/all amenities...comfortable queen beds and nice 4th for view. After a bit of drama down at Kiawah, this was refreshing ...

The hotel was clean, the breakfast appetizing, the staff was friendly and very helpful. Everything about the hotel was wonderful the only drawback is its location which is a bit of a driving distance but well worth the quiet atmosphere!

This was the first time that my husband and I have stayed at this Residence Inn and it was amazing!! We had the best time and the location was perfect, We will definately be staying here again!!!!

Although this hotel has a parking lot behind it and you are given a parking tag upon check-in, there were not sufficient spaces when my husband and I arrived back at the hotel around 10pm on Saturday night. This is one of the first hotels I have stayed at where the free "high speed Internet" lived up to its billing. I was able to work from my room for hours connected to the free wireless network using VPN with absolutely NO issues. I wish I could review other aspects of this hotel, but I was there on a very quick business trip.

Very little to complain about particularly for the money. One problem being very soft beds.

As the title implies, this property is one of the very best that I have ever stayed at. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is very friendly, and I mean the ENTIRE staff. Everyone from the front desk staff, to the breakfast server, to the shuttle driver to Old Charleston were all what Southern Hospitality is all about. The room […] was 5 star. We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite. Not a lot of extra room & the bedroom were pretty small with not a lot of room for luggage. The kitchen, dining area & living room were comfortable, but again, not overly large. Balcony overlooked the pool to the far left & the top of the main hotel on the middle & right. Stayed here one night while going to FL. Even though we arrived around 9 the registration person was cheerful, helpful, and so efficient! The surroundings are lovely and with our studio suite upgraded (complimentary) to a 2-bedroom suite, our stay was even better! Rooms were outstanding. Only thing is that the pet fee needs to be more clearly stated: […] We knew there was a fee but didn't know it was so high (my traveling companion was able to get cut down ... a chihuahua JUST isn't worth that much money). The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. It was nice to have the shuttle bus take us to downtown during evening. Nice breakfast and I think the dining area should be a little bigger. It was over crowded during breakfast hours. We are very happy to stay in the suites because we bought live seafood everyday and cook dinner. it is relaxing to cook […] in the room and watch TV. wonderful stay, friendly staff, very convenient location, cannot say enough good things about this hotel.

Loved this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The breakfast was delicious. The shuttle service was also a great convenience. I defintely got my money's worth.

The title hits the only problem I had with the joint - front door lights were out/off and the sign isn't visible from the main road. There are a couple hotels on the road - so if the GPS didn't tell me I was there, I wouldn't have been sure. Room was spotless and the staff turned it around while we were at breakfast - we came back to a nice light smell […] of fresh linens and bleach in the bathroom. Big fridge, big microwave - much needed. The location is great - outside of downtown Charleston (affordable) but less than a five minute jump across the bridge to all the action. Wow. Our studio suite was bigger than any of my previous apartments. Great amenities and front desk service. Great price. Only thing I wish was that I could have found an ice maker somewhere, but the kitchen staff helped me out.

Our stay at the Residence Inn was lovely, with the exception of the fire alarm going off TWICE, once at 3 am and again at 4am during our first night. Thankfully our 18 mo old slept through the whole thing. We were told the next day that "someone on the third floor" pulled the alarm, but I wonder if the system was somehow faulty, as firemen were struggling […] to turn it off. The hotel staff are great. The breakfast is good. It was quiet, and the price was right. The room was clean, but the hotel, especially the room, had a BAD smell. Maybe a pet issue?

We checked in 2 1/2 hours ealier with no problem. Customer service was very nice and helpful to get us around the area as well.

I didn't feel like the view of the maintenance room was worth the price. Everything else was fine. None of our dogs were grabbed by the alligator living in the marsh adjacent to the pet walk...

The desk clerks, Jaime and Robin were very helpful and proivided us with info about surrounding area and directions. The hotel shuttle and the driver were great and took us to the downtown area, Also, Miss Theresa has a pleasant and warm personality and helped us with our room.

Wonderful place to stay while in Charleston! The staff were great and the business after hours social was the best.

Very enjoyable stay. Staff and hotel both top-notch. Enjoyed the complimentary dinner. Much more than anticipated. This was first vacation with just granddaughter and plan to do this annually. Definately plan to stay here on next trip.

The room was a pleasant surprise - it was very beautiful and made us wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely look to this type of accommodation going forward.

The staff were very helpful and freindly. Breakfast and happy hour were great. We would like to come back to the area and we would book your hotel.

The hotel is in a decent location relative to what Charleston has to offer, but the interior of the hotel has an unpleasant stench and my room was not as clean as it should be especially for the charged rates. It actually looked like it had not been occupied for a while and there was dust all over the shower curtain, tile floors, and counters. The drapes […] and showers were not as clean as they should be; the showers could use a thorough cleaning with bleach. This is not a Marriott owned hotel and it shows. I have stayed at Residence Inns all over the country and the Marriott owned hotels are in much better condition than those owned by independent companies. Ďalšie informácie

The hotel was great, stayed with 2 couples and 1 with child. We had a suite with 2 bedrooms. Both bed rooms were spacious and had decent bathrooms. The living area and kitchen were spacious. The FREE shuttle at night to Downtown (Historical District) was very convenient. Shame they don;t have this during the day though as you will need a car to get […] into town otherwise or go by taxi. The staff were superb! The evening complimentary drink and snack were a nice added bonus. Breakfast was great. I would stay here again during my next visit to Charleston. Ďalšie informácie

I thought I was booking in another hotel but the mistake was well worth it. the price was well worth the experience. After we checked in the front desk They gave us a few moments to get settled in, then the person who checked us in called the room to see if everything was to our liking. we had room108, it had a balcany which was great to set and enjoy […] the out doors. the cleaning crew and people at the front desk treated us like we were in a 5 star hotel. and the free breakfest was the best I've had in a long time. most hotels have cereal and some danish, this one had real food, with a great varity. This hotel was a good value when compared to others and we were concerned about that going in. However, its only shortcoming was parking - which was to the limit the night we stayed. Was a fantastic stay! Marriott did not disappoint. Would stay again.

The hotel was great. The rooms were comfortable though we couldn't seem to acquire any additional blankets when they were needed even after going down to the front desk and requesting them. The kitchen had all the essential equipment for preparing a basic meal. We didn't have a toaster in our kitchen, I don't know if it was our room or standard, but […] something that may want to be considered. The breakfast was simple but nice. We especially enjoyed the waffle maker. I do suggest checking your credit card though, after we checked out the hotel billed my credit card again. I enjoyed my stay but not enough to pay twice. The room was comfortable, but we were not able to get an extra blanket when we asked for one. The breakfast is good and the hotel is clean and very pretty. Only about 5 minutes to down town Charleston.

We booked a 2 bedroom suite at the Residence Inn through Hotels.com because it accepts pets, and we were traveling with a small 13 pound dog. There is NO mention of a pet fee when booking through Hotels.com, nor were we told on arrival that there was a fee, despite telling the receptionist that we had a dog with us. Originally, we were going to stay […] just one night, but we were happy with the hotel and decided to stay a second night. We went to reception on the first evening and booked another night and were billed the same amount as the first night--again, no mention of a pet fee. BUT, during the night, a bill for $100, plus tax, for a pet fee was pushed under our door!! This fee was charged to our Visa card without our permission!! We went to reception with this bill, as we thought it had to be a mistake but were told, "No, $100 is the standard charge for a pet." We were told that this was because the carpets would have to be shampooed in the rooms we were using, but feel this was untrue, as the carpets in our room had obviously not recently been shampooed. So for 1 night only, our very small dog cost the equivalent to 2 adults. We were also told that the pet rate was displayed in red on the front page of the hotel website--again completely untrue, because we had to search the entire website before finding any reference to a pet fee, which was actually in small print, and not in red, or highlighted in any way. The most we have ever been charged in the past for a pet fee is $50, so we found double that amount at the Residence Inn outrageous! Please don't be fooled as we were. Ďalšie informácie
