British Colonial Hilton - Nassau - Nassau

This hotel really is downtown, one can walk everywhere. I had a harbour view room which had an excellent view of the harbour but also overlooked a car park, not so pretty. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. As a single woman I felt safe and comfortable. Food was very good too.

Stayed here a few times and always satisfied. great location in Nassau with private beach and bar.

Very customer service focused. Recent renovation of a historic property. Front desk very accommodating. Live jazz music in bar on Tues and Thurs. Great access to downtown and to good restaurants. Would recommend. CG

This hotel is one of the fading classic hotels of the 1950-1980's era Nassau Hotels, some of which have sadly been torn down. While it has been remodeled, bathroom fixtures and corroded windows show that only minimal restoration was done. Twice we could not enter our room due to electronic key errors. The nice lounge in the lobby offered a live singer […] only two nights per week for only a short time, and other entertainment nearby could not be found. There was confusion about hours for meal service between the indoor and pool restaurant. A good manager and a bit more renovation could give back the charm to this hotel. Recently stayed at the hotel for New Years 2012. Location is central, rooms are clean, hotel is in great shape BUT...food and drink service is incredibly slow at the pool bar. No balconies in any of the rooms. Make certain that you book a harbor view room. The street side rooms have very thin glass and you can hear EVERYTHING going on outside. We had […] two rooms booked. I recommend the hotel but staying on the ocean side is a must. The windows are VERY thin and you can hear all the cities noises as though they are in your room. Excellent for cleanliness, staff friendliness and access to private beach and pool with towels, beach toys, lounge chairs and support staff at no extra charge. Beach fronts on channel near where cruise boats dock. Crystal clear, clean sea water. Easy paved walking distance east to ferry to Paradise Island or paved walk west a mile or so to Fort Charlotte, […] the Cricket Club and Ardastra Gardens. Taxi stand at hotel entrance. Excellent security measures. Cross street to Mc Donald's where prices are close to those in US, or dine elegantly in hotel restaurant or bar and charge it to your room. The hotel is overall nice, with friendly staff and conveniently located but.... - Breakfast is very expensive e.g. $10+ for porridge and a cup of tea! - Poor insulation to hall, I heard people all the time in front of my room (annoying during the night) - Beach at the hotel was dirty every day I was there

Centrally located in Nassau yet close to Paradise Island and the airport. Beautiful rooms, friendly personnel, pool and beach are easily accessed. Excellent price/quality value.

Our stay at the BCH was pleasant and as advertised. Rooms were very comfortable but a bit small. The staff was always helpful and smiling. We really enjoyed the heated pool as the ocean was too cold for us this time of year. Our only complaint was the inconsistency of the food. We had lunch by the pool twice and it was very bad. The breakfasts were […] always well prepared though and we ate dinner in the Aqua dining room 3 times. On the first 2 occasions the food was very good but on the third night I reordered something I had previously and it was not remotely close in quality. The hotel was very cold. The air conditioner in our room was either on HIGH or off - the public areas were also extremely cold - we pointed it out several times but it was not until the last night that the bar/dining room manager actually turned it off. People were shivering in all the public rooms even wearing sweaters. Our room was clean but housekeeping […] arrived very late a couple of days and did not leave towels (which i had to request twice) one day. The only "disinterested" service people we found in Nassau were all at the Hilton - everywhere else in Nassau people bent over backwards to make us comfortable. I will say that Patrice on the front desk and Phillip in the bar are the exception - both worked very hard to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Beautiful old style hotel with great service. Because it is downtown its focus is business based but it has all the basic resort amentities too. Small but elegant rooms that are meticulously maintained during your stay. Very nice pool with an outdoor restaurant/bar and a lovely, private white sand beach. We found the hotel very beautiful, but at 6:30 PM we found that our room was not ready yet and that was the story for a number of people roaming the lobby. The desk clerks were not helpful and I had to use my cell to call the GM who was not there with everyone milling around. The res. mgr came out and found a room and offered us a free meal. The room […] was on a corner and beautiful, but we opened the window to have rap music pounding thru the room til 2 am. The local environs has been told to me over and over that DO NOT go out at night, we crossed two locals roaming by the pool at night.....not a good feeling. If you can be sure that you have a room, and you are not planning on going out, then this is a good place, The beach is virtually non existent but the pool is very nice, not a place for kids but a great spot for adults. We spent a night a week before at the Sheraton Nassau and found the pool and beach very nice, but it was SO CLOSE to the wyndam hotel (the worst hotel i have every seen). The hotel wants to appear like it is a high class remenant of the colonial Nassau area but it simply does not cut it it... So cheap,they do not even give you shampoo in the rooms. The pool has paint peeling off everywhere and is always murky.. To top it all off the beach is a couple of hundred yards away from the cruise ships so you get all the fuel […] run off and gunk in the water. The chemical spill containment floats around the beach area do very little to make your feel you are on holiday on a nice Bahamian Beach... More like Prince William Sound Post Exxon Valdez. Be careful- this hotel is non smoking and charged my credit card 118.00 without my permission for so called incidentals. I had no incidentals . This hotel is still remodeling and I slippped several times the concierge desk lied about having DVRs and I would never go back agagin

It was a lovely place to stay. Wish my entire visit had been there. I like not having gobs of kids around and the beds were extremely comfortable. Close enough to choose options for meals, etc. and to visit the casinos,etc.... but away from the crowds. We loved it! Hotellet är bra och har varit fantastiskt bra. Numera är dock Nassau inte bästa platsen att vara på. Själva staden är lite nergången och hotellet ligger precis vid hamnen. Välj Paradise Island eller hotell på Cabble Beach.

Todo perfecto pero el día de llegada cuando te piden una tarjeta de crédito para gastos o daños tiene que ser una visa de crédito en vez de débito. Nunca me había pasado y menos mal que pudimos activar una desde alli, otra opción era dejar un depósito en efectivo lo que ya te desbarajusta tus cuentas del viaje. Para que lo sepais si vais por alli.

Stayed there for 2 nights end of April. Yes, hotel is not new, but it's clean, properly located and has all the necessary facilities. Beach has clean sand and water, despite of all the cruise liners are parked just in front of. Breakfast is good quality and price. Location gives walking access to Bay Str., where all the shopping and most of great dinning […] places are located. Wi-Fi would be the only disappointment: it doesn't work inside the room and you need to go to the reception to get access password. ３泊　お世話になりました。 タクシー降りて中に入って　思わず 「うわー！」って思うほど　ロビーは天井高く 階段があって　何か映画のワンシーンみたいで ステキでした。場所はもう「便利」スーパーマーケットも歩いて行けるし、前には　マックやドーナツ屋さんもあります。ビーチもきれい、さかなも 見えます。それと　毎日、入ってくる　大きな クルーズ船が　目の前で見れること。良かったです　あっという間の３泊４日でした。　

Et utrolig vakkert hotell med historisk sus. Ligger nær cruisebåt kaia, men er alikevel en oase innenfor hotellets område. Havet er klart og vakkert, men man kan lukte drivstoff fra skipene når de legger til ved kai. Opplevde ikke dette som noe problem. Sengene er supergode! Personalet er veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Ved siden av dette ligger hotellet […] midt i smørøyet når det gjelder shoppingmuligheter. Vis a vis hotelet ligger et spisested som serverer fantastisk god mat til en billig penge. Personnel sympathique mais parfois un peu lent à réagir, comme partout aux Bahamas. Hôtel propre, avec belle petite plage privée (80m entre deux murs, pas de balade possible à ce niveau). Petit dej buffet varié, boissons et snacks du salon Executive insuffisant, restaurant Aqua excellent mais attention il fait très froid (clim à fond). Les cocktails […] du bar sont excellents. Emplacement idéal proche des commerces et restaurants Hotel de grand standing et personnel trés agréable (comme le sont d' ailleurs tous les Bahaméens) La piscine est très calme , dans un très beau jardin . La plage est un peu décevante : sable blanc et eau transparente mais petite . Mais le bus 10 devant l' hotel amène à Cable Beach où on peut profiter […] de la plage du Wyndam.
