I really liked the convenience of this hotel. The accommodations were very nice, and the cost was much lower than many other hotels close to the Riverwalk.

Wonderful service, within walking distance of everything we wanted to see, comfortable. We had a wonderful time and would definatly stay here again.

"GOOD HOTEL"
I like the ubication and the amenities. i didnt take the breakfast because the hours are from 6 am to 9am ,to early for me.the wifi free excellent, clean room. i would recommend.

"Very Satisfied"
We enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff, and no extra fees for bringing our dogs. The dog next door was not as well behaved, but we weren't there at times when it bothered us. I will definitely stay there again.
Everything was great. The only problem was the birds pooping on your vechicle. Hard to find a car wash in this location.

"Good, but not to go with babies"
It's a good hotel for the money we paid. Nice and helpful employees, rather good neighborhood, not too far from Riverwalk, and very well located to go to Sea World (1 block from highway). My only problem was that I have a crawling baby who ended up having his feet literally black from dirt after 10 minutes on the floor and some things in his mouth too. […] I understand they won't clean the carpet all the time but this one was not cleaned in decades!!! Even us had our socks dirty!!! There was only a small hand towel in my room, and no soap or other toiletries. Unfortunately, I discovered the lack of towels a bit too late...

This is my 2nd time visiting staying at this hotel. The 1st time, they didn't have my room ready until 3PM (check in was at 1PM). I recently stayed at this hotel a few days ago and arrived around 2:30PM; they weren't sure if any rooms were ready, but at the end I got lucky. I think this hotel has a bad reputation for on-time check in's. But aside from […] that, its a nice hotel. "Not good"
Our first room they gave us was not even cleaned. The second was semi clean, but their was pee on the toilet seat and they left a cleaning rag in the bathroom. We switched to the best western down the street and wished we would have stayed their the entire time.

The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The hotel was not as close to the downtown sites and I had thought, causing us to have to take the trolley / bus when we wanted to go anywhere. I felt very safe at this hotel and the staff were very accommodating.

Location was close to the River Walk, but unfortunately it is in a rather decaying part of town. We did feel relatively safe but there were a lot of vacant building in the neighborhood. The hotel was like a beautiful flower growing in a weed patch.

"La Quinta Downtown-Distant but Nice"
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Upon arrival, the atmosphere was immaculate and very inviting, from the lobby to the rooms. The room suite was very nice and spacious. All requests were made possible by the friendly staff, all the until checkout, which was a breeze. The main concern I had with this hotel is inconvenient location from the Rivercenter […] area. While not really noticeable on the map, I find it is a bit far away from all of the main attractions of the Riverwalk area, if you are a frequent traveler to those sights throughout the day. They said a pay trolley is available throughout the day for easy travel, which is nice, but for a night owl like me, I'd have to combine this mode of transportation with a taxi ride. "La Quinta San Antonio (Durango Ave)"
Overall, hotel was clean and comfortable. Easy walk to downtown and riverwalk, maybe 8 blocks to the best restaurants. We even walked to the alamo and Hemisfair park area. Easy to get to, nice parking, great location. Work out area could be improved, pool area looked fine but the hot-tub was unavailable due to maintenance. Good value for the price we […] paid. "Great Vacation Spot"
We had big clean rooms. The breakfast was delicious. The pool area was nice and not crowded. Just a few blocks to the Riverwalk. Quiet neighborhood. The only negative was the maids would take the towels to wash and they weren't always back with new ones right away, but they always got there. Good place to stay. I would definitely go back again.

the room was not available when i came in at 1:30 and check in time is at 1. the couple behind me miraculously had their rooms ready however. we came back and our dog was running around in our room when we locked her in the bathroom when we left. i called the front desk and they were of no help. was left on hold for a good five minutes until someone […] else answered. finally, she checked with house service and they called back around 25 mins later saying that someone did enter the room but the dog was already in the room and not the bathroom when they came. i think that is bs bc we specifically locked her in the bathroom with the door closed tight. the tub was also dirty but the rest of the room was average. online, they said the hotel was 5 blocks from the river walk and 10 mins of walking distance. more like 8 blocks and a got 20 mins walk. and doesn't look safe at all at night in the area. will not be returning back. I left a tip and asked for some hair conditioner. Got no conditioner, no clean towels....but they sure took my tip. Also, you can walk to the Riverwalk from this hotel, but it is far enough away that you would want to drive your car and park.

Overall the hotel is very nice. I commend them for getting my friend another room after checking in cause the a/c in her first room was not working right. There are a few things I didn't like. First the dining area for breakfast is very limited in sitting. Also the furniture in the room was out of date and old and faded. The mini fridge barely worked. "La Quinta San Antonio (Downtown)"
This was our fifth year for staying at this hotel. They staff was nice and very helpful with all our travel needs. Fee Highspeed Internet...enough said!! Our dogs love this hotel too. There was no extra fee for them to stay! Which is a big plus for us!! We will definitely stay in this hotel again next year!

"Nice hotel"
Clean, close to downtown, free parking, free internet, free breakfast. Breakfast needs quite a variety such as scrambled eggs, bacon/sausages, biscuits.

"Nice Hotel, on trolley route, Staff was Great"
We stayed at the hotel during our vacation. Lovely city, good location and comfy beds. Rooms were very roomy, shower had the rain head but needed some caulk work (loose caulk). Staff was very helpful, trolley stop within 150 feet from the front door. The Texas shaped waffles were great. My only mistake was not making another reservation prior to leaving […] with Hotels.com to stay at hotel after taking a trip to Corpus Christi. "Upon Check-In, the bed was not made & room was unclean"
When we first checked in and went up to our room, the bed was not made, trash and towels were not picked up, and coffee was still in the coffee pot. We went back down to the front desk and were told that the only thing available was a room with double beds since there were no more rooms with a king bed. "I would stay again"
The room was very nice and comfortable and I was impressed with the workout room they had. The location to the River Walk was very convenient as well. The only issue that we had was the coax cable to the television was missing which really wasn't much of an issue.

FYI: This hotel (all La Quinta Inn & Suites) charges an EXTRA $10 per person above one (1). This is very important to know because by default hotels.com books your room for two (2) adults. If you do not change the number from two (2) to one (1) you WILL BE CHARGED an additional person fee of $10. As a woman traveling alone I book my reservations for […] two adults as a safety step. No were on the reservation did it say that I would be charged an extra person fee - for two (2) adults in a King Suite. Boy was our accountant unhappy about this fee!! "It was o.k."
We where greeted very promptly and courteous. Their where a few issues. 1)The blow dryer that was in the room was not working. When I called for another one, around 8:00am, the employee told me that she was busy and that she was the only one at the desk and it was a busy holiday weekend. If it was a holiday weekend then they should have had more staff. […] I sent my husband down and I gave her a call back to let her know he was coming and she replied that she would have to go find someone to go get one for her to give my husband. Needless to say my husband did finally come up with one. 2)Our room only had one little trash can and it over filled every day. 3)The refrigerator did not cool very well. 4)We did not start off with a new roll of toilet paper and no extras where in our room. Again, when I called that evening there was no one to bring it to us, so I had to go get it myself. 5)You need to make sure that you let the front desk know tht you need your room clean, then you need to wait until after 4p, or so, for it to be clean. 5)Breakfast was o.k, it was mainly full of diffrent breads, bannanas, and Special K cereal , but the waffles where great, only the line was long to have to make them. They only had one waffle maker. They almost ran out of pam on the first day and the second day they had none, so their was a problem with them sticking. Other then that, I do have to say I've had better service at the Holiday Inn Express. You don't have to ask to have yourroom clean and they have someone that can bring it to you. Ďalšie informácie

"Great Hotel for the Price"
We had a very pleasant experience with the hotel. Large room with 2 full beds and a sofa-bed. The downside was the parking lot (I think we got the last spot) and breakfast that ends too early...

There was nothing in particular wrong with this hotel--it was a clean, decent place to stay. However, I was disappointed by two things. One, the pool water was too warm...I wish there had been some shade to keep the water temp a little cooler. Two, although we had booked through hotels.com for five people, apparently the info on the hotel computer said […] that the reservation was for two adults. And when it came time for bedtime, we discovered that the sofa pull-out bed was broken. The hotel staff offered to let us move to another room(however, they did not agree to let us keep both rooms), but due to hour, sleeping kids, and our stuff being everyhwere, we decided it would be too much hassle...so we ended up putting the sofa mattress on the floor.
