Very easy to find from the highway. The room was not as meticulously cleaned as a similar Red Roof I stayed in recently - some dust and smudges. There was a continental breakfast, toast and waffles but no fruit or protein. The staff were all polite. I really enjoyed the updated HVAC unit that was very quiet and accurate. This is an old hotel, however the rooms look great inside and are clean. I would stay here again. Second floor is better as it is quieter, however be aware you will have to haul your bags up the steps .

Hotel seemed very clean so I was surprised to find hair in my sink and opened coffee wrappers in the basket of coffee. The room didn't smell fresh. Bathroom was cramped - nice amenities but a little more room would have been nice.

The service was polite and helpful. The older hotel has gone through a remodel and the rooms look nice at first. The king bed was an innerspring mattress and had seen better days. The shower head was clogged up with lime and barely worked. The breakfast was horrible. Don't bother. McDonald's down the road would have been better. The new desk/work area […] in the room was awesome! It was the high point and the wifi signal was strong and fast. If all you need is a bed, then this hotel is okay. You get what you pay for. The room is comfortable. However, the bed and pillows are not. I was to bring my dog but changed the plans and I'm glad I did. On the floor under the desk was a pill of unknown origin. My dog would have found it immediately. This is not a good thing that it was missed during cleaning.

I have asthma and therefor always reserve non-smoking rooms. I was given a smoking room which they claimed I reserved. Fortunately, I had my reservation on my phone and showed it to them. This is a well-maintained property and the best modern example of a motel from the 60s and 70s. My room was scrupulously clean. The floor was laminate - a plus. The bed was large and comfortable. It had an LG flat screen a safe. The drains were a little slow, but there was plenty of water pressure and hot water. My only complaint was that even though the room we requested was designated as a nonsmoking room, it smelled of cigarette smoke. The receptionist apologized and would have switched our room had the hotel not been fully booked due to the basketball tournament and dog show. Hotel was clean and relatively quiet except for an occasional jet flying over. Staff was helpful. My only complaint would be that pillows were too soft. Bring your own. Wifi didn't work for my tablet in the room. I had to go to lobby. Only basic cable channels on tv. Good value but no frills. I would stay there again.

What a surprise to stay at this recently updated hotel. The hotel clerk was hilarious. The first thing that jumps out were the beautiful imitation hard-wood floors that were so new that the caulk on the molding was fresh. Our room included a mini refrigerator, a microwave and even a small safe. I mention this because these were not included in a hotel […] that cost 3 times as much that we stayed in one night later. Of the five hotels we stayed in our five day trip this was not only the least expensive but we feel the rivaled the more expensive ones. The rooms are newly remodeled and the beds were comfy. The room was overall clean, but there were dog "droppings" behind the bed. Pets can stay for no additional fee, and it was obvious. I stayed on a Thursday night, but I guess the party starts early in the Boro.

I came to Greensboro for as a prospective grad student at University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Need attention: Alarm clock was for time keeping only-alarm didn't work, but received wake-up call, carpet had white pasty spots that wouldn't vacuum up, but could have been removed with stiff brush, something splattered on bathroom mirror frame (hardly noticeable, […] but I look for this stuff-cleanliness issue), refrigerator needed to be wiped out a little better. Microwave clean. Bathroom smelled a little "uriney." People at desk really nice. I did not complain to them about the condition of my room. NIce: moved room to first floor when found I had ben placed on 2nd floor with no charge or hesitation; they offered before I had a chance to find out it was on that floor. Basic stay place. 4 out of 5 rating may be pushing it a bit, but the clean room and good service made up for some strange details (men's bathroom in the lobby - strange, though functional). We had 3 rooms and requested side by side. We were told there were no rooms side by side. We had 2 rooms on one side of the hotel and the third on the opposite side of the hotel in a different building. (This makes it a little difficult when were all in same car.) Arrived shortly after 10pm. No place to get a bite to eat without a car. Also no courtesy van so be prepared to hire a taxi. Room was clean and spartan. Bathroom small but room itself well proportioned. Clean. "Free" breakfast is not worth factoring into your booking decision.
