The hotel location (EZ access to I69 / I94 and downtown Port Huron) was great. Further, who can complain about a free breakfast (waffles, eggs, toast, etc)! Staff is very friendly. The continental breakfast was good, different items than what you would normally see, including a waffle station. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the hotel is in a convenient location. Not really walking distance to anywhere, you have to drive to restaurants and shops. I'm not sure what the designers had in mind with the placement of the swimming pool behind the breakfast/dining area. We hoped to go for an early morning swim to avoid the small children but we didn't care to be the breakfast crowd entertainment. We booked the same day we stayed and found it quickly and easily once in Port Huron. Check in was super fast and staff very pleasant. The hotel was clean and the staff was courteous in every interaction. Incredibly easy to find as it is immediately visible from the Bridge to Canada. A very nice place we have stayed before, and will again. At first we were worried about noise as our room was on the 4th floor, directly closest to the elevator and ice machine. Our sheets didn't get changed in the 4 nights we were there, which was too bad since we spent time at the beach and tended to bring sand home with us. We were passing through and needed a place to stay, the reviews seemed ok. I'm not familiar with the area so maybe this really is one of the better hotel choices but we weren't too impressed. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was ok, but the bed was all springs, the room was musty and smelled of stale smoke, and the shower was made for someone […] 4' tall. I was pleased with the hotel. I stayed for one night on business. The place was clean and the bed was comfortable. The pool area was nice. The breakfast was OK, pretty standard for a hotel.
