"General Mustiness/stinkyness"
Not as nice as other holiday inn expresses we have stayed at. The entire common areas (lobby, hallways) had a musty smell to them. Maybe even a cigarette smell. The rooms didnt have the same smell. Aggravated my allergies. The bathroom could use a good wall washing. Won't stay here again.

The room was quite disgusting. There were wasps and spiders and spider web. They said they had sprayed them not long ago. Well it either had no chemical in the spray container or they missed the room completely. Our daughter is alergic to wasp and we had to finally ask for another room at 10:30 at night. Excellent overall. . . .They would receive a 5 except iam a real estate developer and 10 years ago i tokd them thst they need thresholds and sweeps on the backs of their room doors to stop noise and heat loss or heat gain otherwise excellent

"Overall good experience at HIE CO Springs"
The hotel was convienent, clean, and had a very friendly staff who was super helpful. The one downside was that some areas were not well stocked. For example, when I went to the pool, there were no towels in there.

Good facilities for the money. Friendly staff. Kids loved the breakfast.

over priced for the service and quality, the hotel overall was not clean. Outside the side entrance trash was piled up for 2 days. Front desk staff were some what friendly. The hotel room was dirty and looked like it had not been dusted in weeks.

"Good choice."
Nice hotel. Good location. Decent breakfast. Close to several good places to eat. The pool was warm. Bathrooms tiny.
Extra roomy with a sitting area was a nice surprise. The room was located close to the backdoor which was great because we had our puppy with us and we could take him outside easily. Very quiet too.

This hotel management goes above and beyond to help. We had an accessible room and it was comfortable. The only complaints are that there was no information in the rooms regarding the surrounding area, where the exercise room and pool were. Nothing to let us know that coffee was available in the breakfast area (thus I guess the reason for no coffee […] pot in the room). AND THE TV IS HORRIBLE! Limited channels, and no instructions on how to use the silly thing. No guide to let you know what is on. It reminded me of a hospital TV. I was surprised in a city as large as Colorado Springs. "Don't stay here"
The hotel was clean, beds comfortable. Problems with A/C went unresolved by staff which made our stay unpleasant. Sadly the staff service and brkfst was so bad, we will never to there again.

"Holiday Inn Express - a security nightmare"
They didn't have the right room for us. The widow was open on the ground floor with no screen, there was no security look on the door, it was broke off. All the outside doors were propped open it was after 9 p.m. when we got there. There was major water damage to the bathroom and entry ceiling. The pool smelled and was a brownish color. "Close to exit and numerous dining options"
The room was quiet and comfortable. The "free" breakfast was plentiful and tasty. More fruit would have been nice though. The staff was professional and attentive. The teenagers enjoyed the work out room.

Beds were confortable, room was not real clean, bathroom was small. Hairdryer didn't work. Price was high.

The only problem we had at the hotel was that even though we were in a non smoking room there was smoking allowed in some of the rooms on that floor. That made the rest of the floor smell, especially the hallways and elevator. I really liked the fact that they had a washer and dryer on the premises.

We found the rooms large and clean. Pool and hot tub in excellent condition. Would definitely stay again.

This a nice hotel with good amenities. Cleanliness got a 3 because there was a used contact lens on the counter and a gum wrapper lying in the bathroom. Otherwise very clean. The biggest disappointment was the condition of the beds. The mattresses were very worn out and saggy in the center.

The maid service wasn't the best, the pool wasn't heated, the hot tub was awesome, the breakfast was awesome and the staff was very friendly, I would definitly stay there again.
