Goodearth Hotel - Perth

Awoken at 8.00 am by banging, drilling, sawing etc which seemed to be coming from the roof of the hotel. A we were on the top floor it certainly didn't help although I am sure the lower floors would have experienced enough noise to wake them also. My stay was surprising in a good way, the location was good, standard room was good size, clean, modern decor, some nice views of river too until its built out, pleasant eating downstairs for breakfasts, staff where really good too. A great place to stay without spending huge dollars, all close to city centre.

Was quite happy. Was aloud to drop off all our bags off early so we could have room in our car. 24 hrs shop on corner and bottle shop up the road

Hotel was very clean and staff friendly. Everything we needed was there. The cheaper option for continental (buffet) breakfast was a nice surprise. However, there is a lot of construction work going on nearby and if you want to sleep late in the mornings it might not always be possible because of the noise. Otherwise very nice hotel.

Found the hotel a little "tired". I also thought for the standard of the hotel it was over-priced.

If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive place to stay in the Perth CBD, you're going to have trouble. I picked the Goodearth because it was on of the least expensive hotels with an semi-decent rating. It is acceptable, but I can't in good conscience recommend it. Very dated rooms (with noisy air conditioning). Free parking is available, but […] it tends to be overbooked, so if you're not parked early in the evening, you can be out of luck. Goodearth hotel is situated in beautiful East Perth, but it only takes about 10 mins to walk to the middle of the CBD. The location is very good. Friendly staff, and large room. I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Perth, mainly because of the location.

A very average hotel built about 30 years ago - but refurbished. It looks tired, and a little cheap and nasty. Add a 15 - 20 minute walk into the main mail and you have 'just a room'...

Simple basic room that does the job if it's just to use as a sleeping base. Extremely roomy, beds were comfortable, a little bit noisy - but all in all I'd stay there again no questions.

I really enjoyed my stay, unfortunately, we stayed because we had doctors appointments -I couldnt find much to fault at the hotel and would definately stay again. The staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel was very clean and meals we had were delicious and value for money

My room had a connecting door to the next room, therefore extremely loud. I could hear every word spoken by the people "next door".

Overall experience was pleasant and satisfactory. CBD is just a few minutes walking.

Seemless check-in and check-out. Had good restaraunt and kiosk facilities. Great view to WACA and river from 7th floor. Don't know why but they put on a firework show for us one night. Apartment small but functional with enough cooking facilities for breaky and lunch. I will stay there again :)

This is a good hotel in a central location and reasonably priced. Our room was spacious with good air conditioning, a good size fridge, a gas cooker and micro-wave oven.The staff were pleasant and helpful. We would have no hesitation in returning to the Goodearth Hotel in the future, should we return to Perth.

If you need a clean, friendly hotel in the heart of Perth you've found it in Goodearth Hotel. Good value for money, friendly staff, and close to all the shops, trains and restaurants.

short staying but so nice in a surprising hostel , not so good looking from outside but finally welcoming, clean and convenient hostel. Good services, sympathetic staff, all right.

Great location, great prices and super friendly, helpful staff with the exception of the female head receptionist whose abrupt manner and lack of basic 'please and thank you' was disappointing.

Nice clean room, no frills. shuttle from airport Free Perth bus route outside hotel. Central location Good Value

Great location, service was good, secure parking is an issue, both in the number of bays and the size of the bays between the conrete columns. The large step (300mm) up into the bathroom is a real hazard.

The bed was lumpy. The room was tiny. There was no hand towel. No view at all.

Our room on the 7th floor was located next to the lifts. The lift motors were very noisy and remained a constant source of annoyance. Noise from elsewhere in the hotel entered the room via the air vent in the bathroom. The airconditioner appeared quite old and tired. Otherwise the hotel was acceptable.

While not being a 5 star hotel the Goodearth represents great value for money. My partner and I always stay at the Goodearth when in Perth. It's central, inexpensive, clean, comfortable and the service the staff provide is excellent. There is also free parking on a first in best dressed basis. The first night we stayed we were given a good room on a higher floor, with flatscreen tv, comfy chairs, overall a comfy room with a decent amount of space & view although bathroom only have plastic screens to cover the shower area. As it turned out the single bed (we were given a room with 2 single beds instead of twin as requested) was too short […] for my 188cm tall husband, his feet were dangling, he couldn't sleep all night. The next day we asked whether they have room with longer bed(s) available. Helpful receptionist asked the housekeeping, and moved us to a room with slightly longer beds. The beds are softer than the first room we were in but still comfy enough to sleep on. Better bathroom as this one has a glass side so we don't splash on the toilet. Generally the staffs (receptionists & housekeepers) are friendly and courteous, with the odd stroppy ones. Couldn't use the gas cooker & the gas grill as there was a leak, gas smell filled the room when we tried using the grill. Kettle sometimes doesn't switched off by itself, so have to watch it. Microwave and toaster worked perfectly. Hotel a bit old & tired, which is the "normal" Perth standard. We would stay here again in future. Ďalšie informácie

Hotel near to city centre, Perth Mint, train station and many of the other city attractions.Although the check-in process was less than efficient, it is good value for money for the city of Perth.

With advance technology nowadays, it was disappointing that there is no internet access for Goodearth hotel. We need to pay to use it in the lobby area. This is not the standard nowadays. It also reflect badly on the progress of the country.

This hotel represents good value for its location, my wife and two older kids stayed in a two bedroom apartment on the fourth floor and had river views. The restuarant hasgreat food and service. Walking distance to Perth Mint, Hay St and ferry terminal. I can recommend this hotel for familys on a budget.

This is a perfectly comfortable budget hotel on the edge of the CBD. Plusses are the price, on site mini shop and well priced restaurant. Downside on Sundays is the lack of public transport to that end of St Georges (Adelaide) Terrace - 4 or 5 blocks from the train station and a bit scary walking at night. Arron the Manager was great - he will go a long way The only down side to our stay was the pullout divan for the third adult member of our party. They are lucky that they are cheap because their customer service leaves much to be desired.

Convenient to CBD by bus and a nice stroll by foot. Easy access to Swan River and the Port Ferry terminal.

It was the worst hotel for value for money that I have experienced in a very long time. I would not recommend anyone to stay there.

The hotel was good and the room very comfortable and from that point of view I would recommend it. Sadly, it was all overshadowed by the noise. This hotel not for those who like to sleep at night or during the day. There was constant noise from TVs, young people sitting in the corridors talking (crying!) till the early hours of the morning and banging […] doors and a building site next door. Really pleasant stay,Will book my Dad to stay when he comes from England. Good location, easy Transport routes to central shops.

This hotel may not be fully worthy of a three and a half star rating but it is in a good position. It provides parking facilities at an inner city location and is reasonably priced. The restaurant is adequate without being pretentious and the menu is not extensive. Breakfast is good in an area that abounds with breakfast outlets. The staff are friendly […] and helpful but the employment of foreigners means a lack of local knowledge sometimes. The hotel is in need of renovation but is clean. Overall our stay was very comfortable, excellent service and great value for money.

Good location, Helpful staff. Rooms clean, comfortable with mini kitchen. Air con was noisy in the hall and one of the rooms. Limited parking bays.We never take the car out after 6pm because we are afraid there will be no more parking available when we are back.

Aircon in main room was fabulous. Disappointed there were no fans to help with air flow in bedrooms. Other than that the staff were fabulous as was the buffet breakfast in the morning....
