It was great...the only thing I wish is that it would include some kind of breakfast.

While this is a very nice hotel when we checked in the front desk staff had assigned us to a King room with one bed. I was traveling with a friend and had requested double accommodations. When I inquired about changing we were told that the hotel was sold out due to an event and when booking through a 'service' the request for the double could not be […] guaranteed. Could not serve the people who were staying at the hotel dinner or drinks. Terrible service

Everyone was helpful and courteous . It was a very nice visit.

I had a great stay here and would recommend to business travellers. The establishment made a great impression on me as soon as I came through the door. It wasn't even 8am yet and the staff were high fiving each other and had big smiles on their faces. The staff were all very friendly, including the shuttle drivers Paul and Dan, and they seem to enjoy […] their job a lot. The bed was immaculate and sooo comfortable. I love Sheraton pillows! What a great sleep you can get on those beds. Great amenities for business folk:the room had free internet, free workout room on premises, the lobby had a starbucks (though too bad it closed at noon), and the gift shop was very convenient and not overpriced. The hotel shuttle takes you everywhere, even the airport which is a good twenty minutes out. Close to the malls and restaurants this is a really great hotel overall. The hotel staff was great and friendly. Would stay here again anytime.

Mirror and desk was very gross, like it was washed down lately. Tons of white gook on it. Plus the bathroom sink mirror had toothpaste splattered on it. Reserved what was supposed to be a king, they gave us 2 doubles instead. Breakfast was ok, they gave us coupons for free breakfast, but the waitress wanted to charge us. Madison is a great place. I found this location close to my business downtown but the presence of a night time security guard made me a little edgy about my car which was parked in the dimly lit parking lot outside. Inside, fine. Outside, I am just not sure.

When the reservations were made I was told there was FREE shuttle service to Camp Randall. It was a school bus which was a $6 charge. This would have been fine if the ad did not say free hotel shuttle. My son was looking forward to going into Madison at night and chose not to since there seemed not to be service.

Beautiful lobby, very nice people at the front desk. Food served in the bar are excellent, bartender/server was crabby. Beds are super comfortable, but rooms are very dark.

This has all the qualities that one expects in a Sheraton--comfortable and clean with some nice public spaces. We have stayed here before and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The chits we received for the buffet breakfast the two mornings we were there were a lovely surprise. The hotel is minutes from downtown and in a quiet area off John Nolan […] Drive. I was traveling with my 92 lb. American bulldog and needed a place to stay for one evening in Madison. I have never traveled with my dog before so this was a new experience for both of us. The staff was very dog friendly. I went out to dinner and they told me they would call if there was any commotion. Fortunately all went well. I would definitely go […] their again if I was staying in Madison. They do charge a non refundable fee of $25.00, but it was worth it for me. Many of the pet friend hotels that don't have a fee only allow small dogs. I booked the hotel through Expedia, I think, and I received a much better price plus breakfast vouchers were provided for a sit down breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Booked it on short notice thought it would be nice to experience the town for a day after being in Northern WI earlier in the week. Sparing the details, the room was shabby from the awful view on the backside to the broken furniture to the mildewy shower to the graffitti etched into the desk that of course my 8 year old read; take a pass on this place […] and book somewhere else to tour a great little town. We told the front desk about everything that was wrong upon checkout and they were apologetic but less interested in taking some visible action so I'd classify their behavior as minorly patronizing. My room was not available at the time of check-in. When I was able to check into my room, it was not clean; dirty, unmade beds and used coffee cups. They upgraded our room to the top floor (VIP - that required a room key to access) and complimentary breakfast in the restaurant . There was a VIP lounge on the floor that our room key did not work to get […] into despite directions on the door. We had forgot some clothing in the room upon checkout. The front desk transfered me to the "lost and found" that required me to leave a message. No one returned a phone call. I called back and was told that forgotten inventory does not get logged until after 5pm and to call back at that time. I called back and was told that the individuals who log inventory had left for the day. It took over 48 hours to find out if my clothing was even found in the room. We had a nice two night stay at the Sheraton over Labor Day weekend. There was free parking, check in was easy, the room was clean, the bed very comfortable, the free buffet breakfast was good both days with a pot of Starbucks coffee included. The gym was small but it was fine because there was no one in it besides the two of us. The free shuttle to […] Capital square was very convenient and the hotel was located on one of the many walk/run/biking paths that were around Madison. It would of been nice to be within walking distance of Capital square, but with the free shuttle, free breakfast, and savings of at least $50 per night to the downtown hotels, we were happy with our choice. Upon arrival in our room. We noticed a large wet spot that was caused by the air-conditioning unit. The receptionist informed us, the matter would be taken care of while we were out. Once we returned, the area was covered with a few towels which helped matters very little.

Upon arrival and check in for a convention, I noticed my room smelled less than fresh, had mascara on the back side of a hand towel (neatly folded on the rack, however), and a bar of soap from the previous guest on the floor under the vanity. everything was great pool room was a little hot and the shower head in the bathroom was to low not high enough for someone 6 foot tall other then that it was perfect

Good place to stay for a night. Was a little noisy with a wedding on a Saturday night. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom has been updated (vanity) but shower facilities are still outdated. Common areas are very nice.

The location is ideal and adjacent to hike and bike trails. Like that there is shuttle service and love that there is free wi-fi! Nice not to be nickled and dimed for stuff like wi-fi. Great black out drapes allowed us to sleep late. We stayed on two occassions...the first the room was perfect, the 2nd the room could have been a little better cleaned […] but it was fine and I'm picky. I'll definitely stay again. Upon our arrial we were greeted not with a "welcome" or "how was your drive" but with "I need a license and credit card." The personality of the front desk staff was very poor and I don't think they were trained that they are in the "hospitality" industry. I had reserved a refrigerator because we needed to store breast milk for my infant twins and that […] was not in the system or in my room even though I spoke to someone from the hotel earlier that day and she assured me that the refrigerator would be in the room before we arrived to give it a chance to cool. (we paid $10 a day for this so it wasn't as if it was free) The young woman who checked us in had a very bad attitude and was not helpful in explaining the free breakfast or other amenities we were entitled to with our room, we had to find out from other guests about the free breakfast and had to then ask for our vouchers the next day. The refrigerator was in our room but the next morning we found out that it was set on "freeze" and the milk my wife pumped the night before was frozen and of no use to us until the next day. We had booked two nights separately as we didn't know we would be in early so the next morning the front desk personnel told us they were going to have to move us as they had another guest coming in for our room. There was nothing special about our room from the others so we didn't know why we had to move as we were moving to another room of the same size, same bed configuration and on the same floor. The front desk said they would send someone up to help us move our luggage and our two cribs for our twins which meant we had to pack up everything before we could start our day. We started to pack and were almost done when the front desk called and told us we could stay in that room as they just moved the incoming guest to another room (it toook them that long to figure out practical solution). I chose to stay at the Sheraton because it was much less expensive than other nearby hotels. It is just up the road from the Monona Terrace, and in close proximity to the Capitol building as well. The room was nice, comfortable and clean, and the person who checked me in was very pleasant and helpful. The lobby of this hotel is very nice and welcoming […] too. We reserved a room with a king bed, and was given one on the Club floor. it came with continental breakfast, evening snacks and even a dinner hot dish & salad. The pool is large and the weight room better than most. All the staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Only complaint was that the airconditioner was loud.

This was a lovely hotel.. But note that breakfast is not included in the rate. Upon arrival we paid $20 additional dollars for VIP treatment. This included a free appetizer in the bar, a wonderful breakfast buffet and free non-alcoholic beverages for the entire stay... nice place..

Very nice hotel. Room was clean and very comfortable beds. Problem was, we had reserved a king room and got a room with two double beds. This was very disappointing. Clerk said ONLY if you reserve with the hotel directly are you assured the room type. So much for the romantic overnight!

The one thing that I would recommend is getting a room far from the elevator and the ice machine. Because the noise from those too was nearly constant.

The bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned from the previous quest. We found a dirty washcloth hanging in the shower. The toilet and tub looked like they had not been adequately cleaned. We also found a dirty sock and an old tube of toothpaste next to one of the beds in the room. Very disappointed.

The hotel is located fairly close to downtown Madison. Good service and friendly staff.

This hotel was slightly farther away from the University than where I usually stay. But, since I had a car, it did not matter much. It turned out that this hotel was FAR less expensive, with much more to offer. Breakfast was included...not just a buffet, but during the week I could order off the regular menu. Parking was also free and very convenient. […] My room was very pleasant, toiletries were nicely scented. The restaurant and lounge were typical hotel fare, but not bad. The stay was nice UNTIL, at about 1:00 a.m., I was rudely awakened to the sounds of the couple next door having sex. By 1:30 a.m., they had the t.v. playing loudly until approx. 3:00 a.m. I did not want to pound on the wall, nor even make a call downstairs, as I did not want to wake my daughter who was sleeping soundly. The reason for our hotel stay […] to begin with, was the fact that my daughter had a very important written test and physical agility test the following morning for the Madison Police Department. To top it off, when we checked out, the desk clerk did not even ask us how our stay was!
