It was so wonderful to stay at Hilton Hotel,very clean and neat.What we enjoyed too much is the breakfast which was excellent.I recommend it to be one of the best Hotels in Durban.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, right after staying for 3 nights at another Hotel which was part of the Southern Sun Group. I thought that moving from a 4 star to the Hilton 5 star will be even a better experience. But I was wrong. When I arrived, the service was poor at the reception, had to wait long to be served. Once I got my room after I […] took a shower, it flooded, and they did not want to give me another room. The Breakfast can not be compared to that of the Southern Sun Hotel. However, the room was very comfortable and smart. Location was great too. But for the price, breakfast and the service, I can not say that this is a 5 star hotel. Ďalšie informácie

The stay was wonderful good service and good location closer to all the good attractions. The hotel itself does give 5 start service it is.

I thought the service and food here was outstanding. You will need to take a cab to any sights in Durban however, as the hotel is located in the convention area. If I go to Durban again, however, I will stay here.

Loved my six nights here at the Hilton. Professionalism throughout; the only way to run a high end hotel. I wish them the very best. I will be back.

Great service however there should be improvement on their breakfast

Well positioned in central Durban. Hotel restaurant offered theme dinner nights which was great value - excellent food at reasonable prices. Very comfortable rooms and great amenities. We will definitely go back.

Great Hotel. Clean room and good location which was next to the convention center. Hotel staff helpful and knowledgable of area. Especially enjoyed the Cafe (coffe shop) in the hotel lobby which was quite refreshing for quick meals or coffee. Hotel has shops for souvenirs in case you are not able to visit the city.

Nice Hotel, but nowhere near where the hotel.com map shows it. It is central, not near the beaches and Golden Mile, but we still walked it despite the weather. They had curry night when we stayed, which was OK, but not like UK curries. All pretty much the same type of curry - lamb, chicken, crab. not much variety of flavour. Stay 2 nights at the Durban Hilton with my wife and baby. We really enjoyed our stay. Had a large sea view room on the 8th floor. Very polite and professional staff. Great buffet breakfast and lunch. Good food with efficient room service too. Walked to the beach both days, no problem. Close to Durban Port and U-Shaka Marine Park.

Not the 5 Star experience we expected!

Our towels were stained. Top right corner of duvet cover was torn. Bathroom funny shape - shower door?

I booked the hotel for 8 High Level US guest for a business trip. They were all very impressed and I booked one of the Banquet rooms for a private event and had no problems at all the food was great and service was even better. I called them from the US to reserve transport from the airport to the hotel and they were the driver was waiting when we arrived […] at the airport, I had NO problems the enitre stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. I had always looked forward to lodging at a Hilton Hotel believing that their services must be exceptional. I was not disappointed with the physical structure but cant say the same for the services. When I wanted to check in, I was told my booking did not include breakfast. Could it be because I booked online and got 40% discount? Thank God I had my […] on-line receipt with me which showed that breakfast buffet was part of the deal. I was also surprised to discover that Hilton had no heater in the rooms even though it was winter time in South Africa at the time. Or was it just my room because of the discount. I was again surprised to discover that payment had to be made for internet connectivity. There was no free internet connection anywhere in the hotel, not even in the lobby. I thought that was a shame. Very curteous staff though. If you need to use Hilton, know all you are entitled to before you make your booking. Ďalšie informácie

The staff of Hilton Durban are so great in solving problems. I must say that the internet service at the Hotel does not match the standards of a 5 star Hotel but the employee tried their best to accommodate clients' needs.

The hotel is beautifully located, not far from the beach and very accessible. The place is quiet and very convenient for a good rest and at the same time not far away from entertainement. It was a great stay at the Durban Hilton. The room was beautifully appointed, the staff very helpful, the booking was managed perfectly and the Breakfast was a feast!!!

I booked an Executive room, wanting to have all amenities close at hand and not have to look for anything to complete my stay. The Hilton Durban staff went absolutely above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and completely satisfied with my time there. This hotel was wonderful in every way, superbly comfortable room, great food and excellent service. If I had a "complaint" it was just that the room seemed rather chilly, even with the air conditioning turned off, but then the weather in Durban wasn't good when I was there! The Hilton went the extra mile by allowing me to book in at 08:45 and check-out at 12:00. That is super service. The one word of warning to fellow tourists. I was aware that they have a Hertz inside the hotel. When we arrived I tried to get a car. We were told that they have no cars available. The lady directed me to Budget Car Rental, I walked through […] Durban for an hour and went via 4 different car agencies of which no-one had cars available. I went back to Hertz and they were closed at 13:30. I then phoned Hertz and asked for a booking. They called back after 15 minutes and said they cannot get hold of anyone at the Hilton office. After another hour they phoned back and informed me that they have a vehicle available at the Sandton Hilton!!!!!!!!! I was astounded at the beauty of the hotel entrance. The doorman is a legend and wears a jacket covered with lapels. The porter took us on a tour through the room and explained every gadget to us, including the slippers and bathrobes. We were treated to true 5 star service. Curry dinner was excellent. Unsure why we paid full price when there was an advert in the lift offering 50% discount on weekend bookings. Wine definitely overpriced R40 for a 'glass' of red wine. Generally felt that for the price might as well have gone to the Holiday Inn for the same type of service and accommodation.

Booked thru Hotels.Com at a great price. Easy to find location and excellent presentation. Was greeted by name and discovered they had read my luggage label and were ready when I ascended from the carpark. Made me feel special (I regularly use good qaulity establistments) even by this small action. Very clean room and shower. Excellent fitout and great […] room service. Tried staying again but not having internet access on the fly, the price was steep. Highly recommended. Helpful security staff in the carpark after I woke from a peaceful. quiet sleep and superb breakfast to find I had left my hire car lights on. at the right price this hotel is a winner.

Exceptional designed building and interior. Well placed in Durban, easy access to main roads and city center.

Good hotel, nice rooms, great service, not too bad price. Probably the best hotel in Durban in it's price bracket with the Protea Edward coming a close second. Not really close to much so you probably need a car. All in all I would definatly stay again.

Veldig bra Hotell i Sentrum av Durban. God pris på 5 stjerners hotell. Vi hadde først booket innp på et annet hotell, Blue Ocean, men dette var så dårlig at vi besluttet å finne noe annet. Store rom, god service, bra restaurant - kan anbefales!
