El Camino Inn - Daly City

Enjoy my stay..great price...clean room and bathroom...very important to me...also very close to BART station...which takes you to and from the airport and the city,,,,no need for any cabs....I will definitely stay here again!!!

I would not recommend at all.

I was not in the room for five minutes before bursting into tears. It was the worst stay I have ever had - even beyond Motel 6.

It was okay for the money but the bed was very uncomfortable.

I was in San Francisco for business. All hotels were very expensive and I was only staying one night. Management of this hotel does a fantastic job. The room was very clean and safe. The neighborhood was safe with many restaurants within a short walk. The hotel is close to the freeway and a 5 minute drive to the airport and 10 minute drive to downtown […] San Francisco. This hotel was OK for my needs but there were some small issues that caused me some loss of sleep. Some guests were like me and there at the hotel for work purposes but others were there for other reasons. The "others" had problems with lack of eticate where being quiet after hours was concerned. The Hotel employees were nice and accommodating and the hotel was in a great location near the BART station and made transit into San Francisco a breeze. The room was small, but very adequate for our sleeping needs. Perfect for the money!

We where looking for someting close to the airport and close to a BART-station. For that this Motel is OK. This place is nothing for light sleepers. The "longtime renters" keeps you awake.

Everything was good. The only problem, the room had strong smell of soap! Had to open all the windows.

It was what you'd expect for the price. It's older, the rooms are small, and there was a loud noise the shower made. But it's clean, the staff was friendly, and it was closer than we expected to downtown SF. One day we left our car there, walked to the Colma Bart station, and used public transit around San Francisco all day. Would stay here agian if in town. Very clean. Needed a/c...there was none...front desk said we could come and pick up a table fan...which we did. Very quiet and easy to check in and out. Great central location. Quaint.

Clean room, nice staff, good price and ok to good breakfast plus free private parking (rare in SF) and most importantly 5 minutes to BART station and 30 minutes by metro to downtown. Highly recommended !

It was the cheapest hotel in the area, so I was a little nervous, but pleasantly surprised with the comfort of the room. There were some ants in the bathroom on the last day, which was a little gross. The continental breakfast was a loaf of bread and some cereal but for what I paid, I didn't expect much more. The random noises were the worst part. I […] don't know if it was electricity of what, but just random building noises that were loud and obnoxious. If you can get past that and just have it be white noise (which it was for my boyfriend, I'm a lighter sleeper), then the hotel was fine if you're just looking for a place to stay while sightseeing SF. I thought the hotel had a shuttle bus to the SFO airport but I had to take a $30 taxi instead so if you need a hotel just for the night before catching a plane choose a different hotel.

Clean, comfortable, staff was courteous ... a great place for a quick overnight ... the only problem I had was it is not convienient to the airport ... not really far but not right around the block

Good value for the money spent. This hotel is for a budget conscious person. We stayed in the room with 2 full beds and there was enough space in the room for the two of us. The bathroom was a little small for my taste, especially the showers. The breakfast is not worth it. We chose it because it's much cheaper than the hotels inside SF. There is BART stations nearby where you can take to downtown SF. It's very convenient. The hotel room is not very big, but well maintained. We were given a relatively quite room which I was quite happy with. The staff was friendly.

I enjoyed my stay at the El Camino Inn. The staff was pleasant, and I got a good rest from the day's travels. It's close to the BART station as well so you can travel into San Francisco for the day(s) and sight see.

Chose this hotel based on reviews online. It served its purpose as it is close to the SFSU campus and we were dropping our daughter off for college. UHaul is right across the street. Unfortunately we were in a smoking room and are non-smokers so that was a bit of a problem. It is an older hotel so lots of squeeky floors. absolutely one of the worst and most misrepresented places I have ever stayed at. Continental breakfasted consisted of dry cereal and mini muffins no fruit or juice. Room was advertised to sleep 3 barely fit 2. Would nt recommend this hotel to anybody.

excellent service from night porter through reception staff and housekeeping. excellent value and convenient - breakfast available 7.30 to 11.00, just off freeway into SF, only 15 mins away

Booked this room for the San Francisco marathon. It was small and quaint and served its purpose of harboring tired muscles.

We booked a night at the El Camino for our last night in San Francisco, knowing we'd be getting in late and leaving early to head down the coast. When we booked the room, we weren't sure what to expect from this 2-star hotel; however, we were pleasantly surprised. This little roadside place was fairly comfortable. I got in a little late and must have been the last few reservations because the clerk greeted me by name as soon as I walked in!! Everything was very clean and fresh. It wasnt very big, but I wasnt looking for the Taj Mahal either. Free wifi was great. strong signal and despite being roadside, it was […] fairly quiet. I stayed in this place with my boyfriend for 6 nights, the room was ok so we didn't have any problems at first. Now, the first night we ordered pizza and left the box outside of our door like in any regular hotel because there weren't any garbage cans around. On the 4th day my boyfriend went to ask the manager something and she startes screaming at […] him that he left garbage all around her driveway, that he was rude and that this wasn't the hilton (clearly), he let her talk and when he asked if he could speak now to explain, she said no and went somewhere else. Not the Ritz but clean and comfortable with free parking. About a mile to BART and 24 hour donut shop across the street ;-)

Perfect place for parents dropping/picking up students from SFSU. Has everything that is necessary: cable, wifi, coffee, parking - super clean rooms. Not elegant but very charming in a retro 80's kind of way. Onsite hosts, Lisa & George, go out of their way to help - they are friendly and make the place feel like an extension of their home. Not much to say, just a good value for $70 in that area. Suggest the owner to upgrade the heater. Not because it is not working, but for safety reason, or just the perceived safety. The inkeeper's friendly smile was enough to warm me from the cold and rain that night. The room itself passed my "sniff test." It was truly clean and sanitized. What a welcome treat. Definitely will be staying here again.

for my needs this is the best close to the Bart station, 15-20 minutes to down town the keeper is pleasant and helpfull, the rooms are clean and warm, the beds are good 1 restaurant, a subway sandwich, 24 hour donuts

A quiet, clean, affordable motel- one of the few near Daly City. A nice continental breakfast. Highly recommend for the area.

close to the Bart system within walking distance of the Bart, also across the street a 24 hour donut shop so anytime can get coffee. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable and because most of the rooms are in the back away from the street it was pretty quiet.

Staff were very helpful with directions to the station, and providing information about the local area. The room was in good condition, although the bathroom could of been cleaner. Overall it was good value for a 2 star hotel.

The motel is shady on the outside, yet rather clean on the inside. We had to stay here due to last minute plans, but no matter what I we not stay here again. I did not feel safe. Not worth more than $20 a night in my opinion. There is a couple who live and run the motel. The guy is nice, but the woman is rude and needs to learn better customer service […] skills.
