A very good with great staff, service and food. Excellent value for money when compared to the nearby large national chains. Excellent facilities in a very pleasant location - the downside to this is that the mobile phone reception is very limited.

I stayed for one night on a course. The rooms were comfortable and the shower was astonishingly powerful! It is in a lovely area on the outskirts of Bristol, with peaceful surroundings. Breakfast was nice, with an excellent selection. My evening meal was less inspiring, but was substantial and well cooked. The country club is next door to the hotel, […] and was great. A brand new well equipped gym, classes during the day, and a pool. The only small negative was the noise travelling down from upstairs, as I was on the ground floor. Pleasant hotel in lovely surroundings but showers were hopeless and need replacing

The Brook Redwood Hotel is conveniently located just outside of Bristol, but still within a short 5 minute drive of the citry centre and all the amenities. The staff are friendly and knowledgable and the attention to detail around the complex is excellent. Whilst the building itself is not the most aesthetically pleasing, the interior is finished to […] an excellent standard and there is good clear signage to enable you to find your way around. The large car-park has plenty of space, and the attached leisure club is available to hotel guests at no extra charge. We stayed for 1 night and can't really find any fault with the place. If I had one small criticism it would be that the hotel room cards used as keys are completely blank and don't even have the room number printed on them, which led to minor confusion when the leisure club receptionist muddled up three of our cards. Also be aware that whilst the city centre may be 2.4 miles as the crow flies, it's more like 5 when actually driven. had read some old reviews and think they must have stayed somewhere different to us was good for a 4 star no complaints - clean confy large bed

I stay in this hotel regularly through work commitments and have never been disappointed. The leisure facilities are excellent, the restaurant is good and the rooms are spacious and clean although with the occasional ineffective shower. My only slight gripe is the extremely bland lounge area, as a lone traveller it would be nice to have a distraction […] within the hotel lounge, Sky etc., rather than having to venture to the leisure club which doesn't take food orders after 8:45 and closes at 10 but all in all I'm rarely, if ever, disappointed when I stay at the Redwood. the staff is the only thing good about the hotel. it is old and very dirty. would not stay again.

Nice hotel, nice surroundings. Had to pay at reception for drinks at the bar! Rooms were adequate, room carpet was dirty. Breakfast was excellent. But got billed twice for bar and breakfast - so check your bill.

We stayed here because we are a touring band that were due to play Glastonbury the following day, about 20 miles away. It served as a great place to relax in peacful and pleasent surrondings before we hit the maddness of the festival. Will definetely be staying here again next year and would recommend it to anyone! The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, shame we only stayed for a night and didn't have time to explore properly, I guess it would be a good place to stay for a long weekend if you are not the fussy type. The rooms were average, big enough, with a flat screen TV, very comfortable bed, nice fluffy pillows and a proper quilt. Sheets appear to be crispy […] clean, but I found a few hairs in the bath and on the toilet seat which put me off the whole experience. The breakfast was a bit of disappointment, definitely not like the ones you'd normally get in a 4 star hotel. The fry-up was ok, one of each, but the rest appeared not be fresh, the home-made croissants were stodgy, the milk tasted a bit sour. It wasn't worth the amount per person we paid on reception, but if it's included in the room it would be a good start of the day. The receptionist was very kind, we had no interaction with other members of staff so can't comment on that. Overall impression is above average, considering that we managed to find a good deal on the web. We would probably stay there again as it was convenient for visiting relatives. Ďalšie informácie

OK for a last minute and location. Price good. Bedding and towels absolutely spotless. Bed firm and comfortable. enjoyed morning swim.

Our first room had a very bad smell - just 2 minutes inside and I had a headache. It was quite small too. I went to reception and they found another room for us. This was larger and on the second floor overlooking pond and was quieter and much nicer than the original one (ex taking account of smell). Service was funtional but not particularly professional. […] The doors in the passage are not on slow release and bang a lot. Plenty of tea and coffee and couple of biscuits which was nice. I only have one fault with this hotel and that was the bar prices. Over the top'

Decor was a bit outdated but overall comfortable and rooms have nice clean bathrooms. Although...do not consider staying at this hotel unless you have a car or are prepared to pay for taxis everyday...it's in the middle of nowhere! Really scary drive back at night as there's no streetlamps as soon as you hit the countrylanes!

This place was a total farce. I specifically need hotels with internet connections for remote working, and when I arrived I found out the WiFi was not working. The technical guy didn't really know anything, so he suggested I get my room moved where they have a cable connection. So that's what happened. And the cable connection didn't work either. So […] I tried to phone our company's IT team - and the phone wasn't working. And There was no mobile phone signal either. Laughing yet? Well, it gets worse. The Manager moved me a second time, this time to a room "where the telephone will work". It did, but the internet didn't. A lad from reception said he'd call the engineers, and it took 2 hours to get a response. They provided him with loads of numbers (yippee), but I was then told that it must be my company's fault for putting administrative blocks on the connection (this has never happened before all across the UK and Ireland where I have been able to connect every time). In the end I had enough and got moved to the FANTASTIC Cadbury House Hotel a few miles away, which absolutely knocks the spots of Redwood, which is tired and soulless (I recommend Cadbury House it to anyone - wonderful hotel and facilities - in fact, I'm staying there again in May).
