Very nice, clean, modern Hotel although the room was a bit small. Breakfast was the only food available on site although there is a casual dining restaurant on the water within walking distance.

The hotel itself was nice. Would of liked to of had a restaurant to eat at in the evening on the premises .The charges on the food in the the little store a bit ridiculous and very expensive. There was notwater in the vending machines and the buffet food was cold.

When I got there, hotels.com had not paid for my reservation, which was very annoying, since I was being told, at first, that I would have to pay for the room again and then take it up with hotels.com. The man at the desk was **extremely** nice about this. I showed him my reservation email, and he took that as confirmation. He also upgraded me to a […] room with a balcony. A very pleasant person. The hotel is undergoing renovations right now, so it's not in tip top shape. Breakfast was expensive. The neighborhood description would lead you to believe that you're staying right downtown in the historic district, but you're not walking distance to anything. The parking garage has very small spaces, so small that I was concerned about doing damage to my car or hitting another car while getting in and out of parking space. I think these spaces fall into that "illegally small" category that were "exposed" on Dateline many years ago. It doesn't seem like parking in an area not really IN downtown Charleston should be a problem. There was not any charge for parking, but it was kind of stressful trying to get parked and unpacked. Other than that, all was good. Very clean room. Wonderful staff. View of the harbor, as long as you did not get too close to sliding glass doors! Nice hotel, great views of the harbor. A bit far from down town if u plan to walk,but a short and easy car ride, or they offer a shuttle for a few dollars per person per day but you can ride the shuttle as many times as you like that day. I would stay there again.

Spectacular hotel. I was on the side with the water and it was gorgeous.

Front desk clerk was very friendly. Hotel was right next to the Ashley River so we had nice views of the boats and water but not much from our room window. The bed was too firm for my liking though my wife liked it. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Hotel was not within walking distance of historic downtown area so we had to drive to get to shops, […] sites, and restaurants. If you don't mind that, this is a great place to stay. Just right for us, touring by car. Room was great, with fine views. Free coffee on the terrace was a good touch. Somewhat impersonal ambiance, but we enjoyed our stay.

The room itself was clean and spacious, but this hotel reminded us of the perils of booking online. we wanted to be near the center of town, and in an area where one could walk around. Although thie building is on 'a' waterfont, much of that was swamp, and it was at least a mile from any of Charleston's many attractions. While there was breakfast seerved, […] there was no food after 11AM,and no restaurants within walking distance The 'front' desk was up one flight from the street entrance: kind of an odd arrangement and a hint of how inconvenient the site was going to be The rates were MUCH higher than a typical Courtyard. The swimming pool was dirty, water looked green in color. The towel cabinet by the swimming pool was empty and the hotel employee new it is empty but ignored it and walked away. I think management does not care about guest satisfaction.

This is an OK hotel with a poor location. It is only convenient to MUSC, College Of Charleston and the VA hospital. Any other destination is a hike; cab ride. You would be much better off paying the marginal increase in costs and staying closer to Market ST. Hotel was comfortable although price was considerably higher than typlical Courtyard properities. View of harbor was nice but proximitiy to downtown was much further than anticipated. Parking spaces were very narrow and not enough were located undercover. All-in-all a comfortable stay but at a premium price.

Staff was helpful and responded quickly (with a smile). Room was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony watching the boats on the river. Location was a little inconvenient but we learned to have the front desk call us a taxi when we wanted to go to the historic district. Environment was very satisfying. Easy to get to historical district. Might expect a free breakfast in the future, like hotels of similar quality give.

The hotel was very easy to find and very convenient as a base to explore 'downtown' Charleston and the whole waterfront area. The rooms were very comfortable, but maybe getting a little tired in the decor. Parking was excellent and the view from the restaurant/breakfast room was exquisite! One small hitch, I booked two rooms with you, and paid for both, […] but my friend was charged separately for his room, despite us saying to the desk staff that it was already paid for! This hotel is wonderful! The rooms are smaller than some hotels, but I prefer them because they are cozy and still have all the amenities you would need! Very clean and comfortable. Also pool overlooking water and marina is beautiful. Very upscale hotel!
