Pacific Terrace Hotel - San Diego

This might be the nicest hotel based right on the ocean at Ocean Beach. The staff was very helpful, the room immaculate, and the location second to none. I've stayed at a number of hotels in the area, but I won't stay anywhere but here in the future. You can't go wrong with an ocean front suite!

Pleasantly surprised by quality, friendliness of staff, willingness by staff to 'go the extra mile' to make our one night stay most enjoyable!

Excellent Hotel

My wife and I and a couple of friends spent two very nice nights at the Pacific Terrace Hotel. The staff were exceptional, with no request too much trouble........they made our stay very warm and pleasant. The location of the hotel is excellent - right on the beach and all the rooms have a balcony and great sea views. Our room hads two large queen size […] beds with large flat screen TV. The hotel is very family friendly. As someone who travels extensively on business (this trip was leisure) this hotel was excellent. Upgeaded to a suite with sea view on arrival and ended up staying an extra 2 nights. Staff were extremely accommodating, suite and views were fantastic. Breakfast good value and we parked our car in the street as opposed to paying the daily valet rates which seemed perfectly secure. We had an ocean front with balcony on 2nd floor and I felt like we were on top of the ocean. Loved it Popular spot for the surfers. You can sit on the balcony watch the waves, the surfers, the people on the boardwalk and enjoy the sunset. Room clean and updated. The only downside was we booked a 2 queen room and they put us in a King with a pull out […] couch. We are a family of 4. The pull out was a twin with a blow up mattress. They brought us another blow up mattress making it a tad crowded. Just know going in, the King rooms accommodate 3 comfortably, 4 is a little crowded. If you love to sit outside and enjoy the view, smell and sound of the ocean STAY HERE! If you elect to take a non ocean view room the pool and Jacuzzi are on the beach side of the hotel. You will be steps from the beach and the boardwalk. Ride a bike or walk to food and entertainment.. Ďalšie informácie

Nice little hotel, friendly staff. Great views of the beach and nice beach boardwalk. The morning buffet breakfast for 14 dollars is good value. The pool and hot tub clean and both kept at an ideal temp Respectively. Two complaints grout in shower/bath had extensive mildew and light in hot tub will burn you if not careful.

We loved this place! Warm cookies every afternoon during happy hour, incredible location, beautiful heated pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean, access to the boardwalk right out the door and warm service. A real hidden gem. We will be back!

The only reason to stay here is the great view. There is no restaurant, no bar to speak of and the rooms are dark and depressing. Try the Hilton Bayfront, same price range, great views and all modern facilities.

Hands down this was the best hotel stay I've ever had. The grounds are beautiful and well kept, the location is amazing, and the rooms are amazing. We loved our stay and the recommendation to dine at Fat Fish was greatly appreciated. Awesome hotel, awesome restaurant, awesome weekend getaway. Thank you!

This is a beautiful hotel right on the beach. When we arrived at the hotel we were upgraded to an ocean view room which was awesome. The rooms are very comfortable and nice. The staff is attentive and available. Highly recommend.

We stay in hotels frequently and this was the friendliest/most helpful staff I have ever come accross. The room was beautiful and the location can not be beat.

This hotel has a style of its own. Common areas are perfectly designed and maintained. I was there for business, but I wish my wife and kid were with me. This is the best place to enjoy life on the beach or at the pool. I forced myself to take a swim as I had direct access to the heated ouside pool and jaccuzzi. I had a very large room with my own private […] patio (I could only afford because of hotels.com). The room also had all the convenience to prepare breakfasts or light meals. Mini-bar was not overly priced. Hotel breakfast buffet is not worth it in my opinion. Free parking was easy in February, but you may need to use the underground garage in the high season. Customer service and friendliness was outstanding. Diego was exceptional! His advice and directions for places to see was so helpful (I'm an artist & was looking for places to photograph for painting).

Love it . Our favorite place to stay in San Diego. Great rooms, great location, great service.

Love this hotel room was awesome upgrade with Jacuzzi tub well worth it.

Our whole experience at this hotel was wonderful. Many good restarants within walking distance. Is truely a good place to relax and enjoy the ocean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We will definitly be planning another trip in the future.

This is a hidden gem in the San Diego area. I loved the extremely comfortable room, the great view and the amenities of the local neighborhood. The staff was extremely service oriented and took care of any and all of our requests. This is a great place to relax.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was great! Couldn't have asked for a better view and a better location. Our balcony looked right into the pacific and it was a short 1 minute stroll to the beach. The hotel is also located near the boardwalk which is great to walk out in during high tide as you are basically in the middle of the ocean, we even saw […] dolphins jumping out of the water a few hundred yards away. This hotel is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. The staff is very friendly and the cleanliness was impeccable. The location can't be beat, right on the ocean front. We parked our car on Friday and did not use it all weekend. Everything you need is within walking distance. We will definitely be returning.

Well maintained hotel with beautiful view. Nice hotel employees and small little touches by the pool and garden to make me feel very cozy.

The hotel offers great service from the staff. The room is spacious & tastefully furnished with a fabulous view of the ocean. The smallness of the hotel is quiet & relaxing. Just a short walk to the pool or breakfast room. The underground parking is safe & secure. The hotel is my favorite for trips to the San Diego area.

My mom, sister and I attended our family reunion over the Thanksgiving holiday week and chose the Pacific Terrace. Everything about our 4 night stay there was wonderful from the location, the staff, the view from our room and proximity to the promenade and the beach. Lots of great restaurants and shopping really close by and a short drive to the San […] Diego airport which was handy. We loved driving along the coast from the hotel through La Jolla, Solana Beach, Del Mar and beyond - the location was perfect for what we wanted to do. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were courteous and accommodating. Our room was really nice but the view, oh the view! Open ocean, pounding surf, surfers, dolphins, pelicans, fabulous sunsets - it was hard to tear ourselves away to family get togethers or shopping! We hope to make this an annual trip and we will definitely be back to the Pacific Terrace. Thanks for helping to make our reunion trip so memorable! Ďalšie informácie
